You can not go wrong with the Drybar. I have visited this location twice and my favorite person between the two locations is LEO. I always leave feeling pampered and sexy. The place is clean, the treats are nice and the barfly program is worth it!

    Nothing great

Horrible experience! Would not recommend! First time at the Wayzata location. Not my first blowout. Probably the worst ever! I show up on-time only to find I had to wait 15 minutes. Things happen but whatever. My person was running late so I had someone else. They took an hour or so on my longer, curly hair. They do not deserve my business or anyone else's. I ended re-doing almost everything. I was going because the rehearsal for my wedding was that night. I didn't think I'd have to re-do everything. Thanks for nothing! Really disappointing.

Wow this hair salon is top notch! Absolutely stunning from every corner right down to the yellow hairdryer chandelier! Jill, co-owner of Drybar, was the absolute sweetest and so incredibly welcoming. Her staff was equally kind and generous not only with their skills, advice, and time. I decided to go with the braid bar as it's something I had never heard of before. Boy did it not disappoint!! Josh did such a beautiful job following the photo I had brought (Pinterest inspired of course) and he kept playing with my hair until he got the inside-out braid juuuust right. Also want to preface that I have A LOT of sleek hair so for it to stay in place was no small feat! Nonetheless, it took all of ten minutes, was beautiful, and he really worked his magic on everyone. Thank you so much for having us elites! It was an absolute blast! Can't wait to come back soon :)

Jane did an absolutely and incredible job with my textured thick and curly hair. I am used to blowouts taking 2x as long (understandably) but she was an expert and had my blowout done so fast. Not a hair out of place. I highly recommend her and will be making sure I have appointments with her every time I go! The best experience I've had in a salon. I trust her with my hair and at this point the blowout was so good is trust her with my life. You'll want to call to book with her, but she's regularly at the Edina location Wednesdays and Thursdays 11-7!

So much volume! I have a lot of heavy hair so it's hard for me to get volume. I loved it and it held all day even though it rained.

AVOID THIS SALON. SCAM - UNREASONABLE HIGH PRICES with a poor end result/service. BLIND SIDED BY…read moreprice of $348 with no results/change in hair. I used to see Leah at Lavish, she is the owner. Leah is very skilled, probably the most talented colorist I have encountered in my 15 years of getting my hair done. I was devastated when Leah moved me off her books. She did this to focus on her hair extension business, and referred me to Emily Radford. I am currently brunette, with the request to make my way to blonde, I asked for highlights and provided a few inspirational pictures. What I received was very minimal, I could not see a change in my hair aside from 2 chunky highlights at the front of my hair. I understand it takes time to break up brown hair, but i received was unexpected. I was charged $348. Emily is young, new in her career, which I was happy to give her a chance. Moreover, Leah, the owner of the salon has never charged me over $220, and would exceed my expectations. I am extremely sad with the results from this time around, or lack of results rather. I asked for the situation to be made, right, and resolved but Emily said since too much time passed she will not fix or refund. Yes, it has been more than 7 days, but my hair is the same as it was when I walked out of the salon on 10/19, its still brunette, with no highlights except in the front. It took me until today, 12/3 to find the courage to say something about the situation. Lavish salon will charge with you steep unreasonable, unjustifiable prices, without any explanation or preparation of price point. I was blind sided by the price of $348. I cannot afford this price point for my hair, and I am still in need of getting my hair corrected, and will need to pay another salon to make this right. I feel taken advantage of. Save yourself the $ and time, don't go to this salon. Service was on 10/19/23 - after photos from a month later 11/19/23 & today 12/3/23.

Sakada Studios - Coming home "styled". It looks like there are regrowth lines, but those were painted in. In my usual style, there is a straight line across.

Jaynee Studer For…read morethe past seventy - four years, I have been getting my hair cut about every five to six weeks. In that number of years, I have been to many barbers and stylists. The reason I am writing this review is to say that Jaynee Studer at Sakada is the best stylist I have ever had. I have been going to her for over two and one - half years and she is superb in every respect. She is an exceptional stylist and has found a way to cut my hair (with all of its cowlicks) so that it always looks very nice when she is finished. For over ten years, I went to a stylist at another salon and, after ten years, she could never even remember on which side I parted my hair! Jaynee is exceptional in her techniques and I would recommend her highly to anyone who is looking for a stylist. Besides being excellent at her profession, Jaynee is also very friendly and personable and a good person with whom to have a conversation. I always look forward to my appointments with her.

I went to Sakada at the beginning of the new year, had a nice Balayage, and cut with one of the…read morestylists there. I returned to get a nice new look for date night; unfortunately, I had horrible service this time around. I did bring in a reference photo for inspiration. I was open to talking about colors if there was a need to. I was a golden blonde on the parts that were balayage from last time. After some discussion, Melia asked if I looked like the reference photo and if I would be happy. I said yes. The service started fine, but she didn't get a lift from my hair. She said she feared damage, but I don't know why she didn't do a strand test if that was the case. Either way, she went through it again, and this time, it lifted very yellow. I was pretty concerned when she was drying it and not noticing that it needed some correction. She kept saying there were light issues, but being next to a big window, I didn't feel that was the case. I asked her if we could put some toner or something to help it. She did this, but it left blue spots in my hair, and I felt my blonde pieces were inconsistent in tone and application. She styled me before I really had a chance to look it over and as we were over time she had me pay her. She gave me her card and kind of awkwardly said if I needed anything to contact her. When I got home, I looked at my hair closer, but it didn't look good. I went to straighten it to get a better look at the issues; it was apparent that this was a bad outcome. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of honesty. I understand mistakes happen, but professionals note when things don't turn out well and schedule customers for a fix before leaving. I sent my photo to get an opinion and was advised this would need some big color correction. I do believe in giving people another shot if I think they can do it. However, I already made many comments of concern about the color to which I felt wasn't validated when it should have been. I also didn't feel we had enough trust if she let me walk out looking this way. My hair already went through a lot and I don't have the confidence that she has a solution to get me where I want. I did ask for a refund as I would need to pay for a corrective service. It's one thing if this was about a matter of taste, but this was technically a bad job. In a text, she said she didn't do refunds and would do a corrective treatment followed by recommendations of foils. I don't want foils; I want blended pieces. Right now, I have harsh lines in my hair that shouldn't be there. There was back and forth about whether she thought this was a good outcome and about consistency/patterns. I have had multiple balayages over the years, and I know what is expected, so it was pointless to argue further. At this point, I think the pictures speak for themselves. It sucks when things go wrong, but I would have hoped that it would have been acknowledged at the time of the appointment or at least in the end. I did get my tip back after I sent pictures to push my point further, but this experience was beyond disappointing. Lessons I learned: 1) These people are independent contractors, which means their work is not guaranteed. Make sure you discuss bad results and alternative solutions if they are not nailing the look they promised. A good stylist stands behind their work and cares about your happiness. If you have any doubt, go somewhere else. 2) Be your own advocate. If you are too shy to say something, go somewhere else that has a manager in charge. 3) Always tell them to do a test strand if they have any concerns about lifting or hair integrity. It's better to do a test than doing a service again and running out of time. 4) If you are in doubt, ask another stylist in the salon to come over and give feedback. That way, you will know if your concerns are valid.

I don't like to leave negative reviews but as time goes on my color and cut just seem to get worse. I was hoping as cut grew out it would improve. Nope it's worse. Natalie did my hair at Christopher J's and it was a disaster. My appt was Oct 24. at 11:30 am. I just moved to Plymouth Oct 2. My previous stylist used Wella products and I found Christopher J's on the Wella salon finder site. I was thrilled when they had a 4.7 star rating. I had the "formula" my former stylist used. Natalie seemed very happy I had that information. When my hair was processing I noticed the color did not look quite right. I mentioned it to Natalie when she was washing the color out. She told me "oh we did not have one of the colors so I just substituted". WHAT??? She never discussed this with me and 5 years of perfecting my color was shot to he-- in 45 minutes. If Natalie had given me the respect of letting me know she did not have what was needed for my color we could have discussed it and figured an alternative was close to my color. Instead I have a color I hate more and more. So that was the color; now the hair cut. OH MY GOSH. This is the worst cut I've had in 20 years. I cannot do anything with it. She kept saying oh it's a shag. No my cut was not a shag. I wanted my same cut just shorter and shaped. I let's rally look like I have the same cut as I did in 7th grade in 1975. Jo shape, sticks out all over. My natural curls are flat and frizzy. Normally I could up 3-4 days without washing my hair and it would brush out beautifully with dry shampoo and keeps its style. Not now, it has no style and was cut so short I'm praying I can find someone who can fix it. After putting my color on Natalie never came back to check it or ask if I was ok or did I need anything. Maybe I was spoiled by my previous salon but they had water and little snacks and Brittany always checked on me 2-3 times during 40 minutes of processing. Other stylists did not smile nor say hi. I would look around and if I made eye contact they would not smile back or acknowledge me. Salon is pretty and clean.
