Formerly known as Foundations Systems 360 - note, they rebranded in March 2025 according to their…read morewebsite. Rebranded? Bought out is probably the case. It looks like US Waterproofing (USW) is a big player in IL & IN.... I had a huge crack in my basement wall that leaked bad enough that sand started pooling at the base of the crack. I had 6 estimates from $750 - $32,000, which ranged from just filling the crack all the way to interior & exterior foundation drains. USW was a mid quote, but the most bang for your buck and they offered a military, teacher, or first responder discount. With USW I got the crack filled/repaired, an interior floor drain dug from the crack to my sump pump (complete with a 90 mil wall liner), and a new battery back up sump pump installed. Their quote was reasonable, but installation of a new sump pump was the kicker for me and why I went with USW. They got me on the books the next week and took about 5 hours to the complete the job. What they got right: 1. They wrote into my quote that all exposed carpet from the entry of the house to the job would be covered. And they did an excellent job of this. 2. The team that was sent over was professional, friendly and let me watch and ask questions throughout the whole process. 3. Although they put up plastic walls around the work area, they warn you the process can stir up lots of concrete dust that will get everywhere. 4. My salesperson kept an open communication with me via text throughout, and after, the whole process. What they got wrong: 1. The exhausting sales binder they are required to go through with you. It's a 4 inch binder! 2. Although the binder is HUGE, they don't represent the final product transparently enough. I was quoted an access port to clean out the drain, but it stuck up 2 inches out of the floor, and they location they chose for it would've messed up my laundry set up, so I had them remove it (they need a flush access port option!). Another example is they did not have a great picture of what the wall liner looks like, nor did they have a physical example on hand. The salespeople should carry an example of the wall liner with them. 3. The 'crew boss' shows up and just walks right into my house and down to the basement, without announcing or introducing himself. I did not appreciate this, whatsoever. #2 & 3 of what they got wrong is why I took off a star, all in all, I'm pleased with the final product and what I paid for it.

The repair ended up costing about 2x what they originally said which ... hey that happens. The quoted it sight unseen, then looked at it and decided it was bigger than they expected. They put this junk in, plug it and then you cut the plugs flat after a few days. Repair at 6 months is holding. The other people that looked at it were thousands if dollars so I thought I'd try this...glad I did. I only have before pics Prompt and repair that worked.

Dave from the Crack Team, he was my 4th, and final estimate I got. #1 said they'd fill the crack and put a vapor barrier over it for $975 #2 said that although my walls were plumb, and showed no sign of other distress, I would need 5 carbon wall ties, @ $500/each, and fill the crack, with a 10% cash discount for $3868 #3 said they would fill the crack & rod holes w/ epoxy for $500 #4 gave me an estimate of $1050 to fill the crack and rod holes with urethane and then reinforce the job with carbon concrete staples - with a lifetime transferable warranty! After doing my research online, I came to the decision that urethane is better than epoxy, for my purposes, and that I don't need 5 carbon wall ties. Dave with the Crack Team won my bid because of the reinforcement, use of urethane, and the warranty. His work was fine, as was he. The only negatives I can give is that he didn't prep me on how messy of a job this was going to be. At one point I went down in the basement to check and see if he would like something to drink, and my whole basement was filled with concrete dust. If I had been prepped on the mess, I would've shut off the furnace, shut the door to the room he was working in, and cover a bunch of things in the room he was working in, to make clean up way easier on me. He wrote me up for a bill of $1070, because he filled 1 more rod hole than quoted ($20/rod hole). All in all, I recommend the Crack Team.

Had MANY problems scheduling to complete the work and 3 false-starts. FINALLY the work was completed in the spring of 2025. Well, it's been a little less than one year and today's rains (April 4, 2026) revealed that either the flu cap or the flu cover has failed since it is raining into my firebox, down through the clean-out and into my basement. I paid thousands of dollars to this company. If I have to have another company fix their work then I will be suing for a refund, and, since it is over $2500, it WON'T be in small claims court!!!

Manager came out and immediately said there was a one year warranty on their work, but they would do a courtesy repair and repair two panels. When the workers came out they informed me that if they did the repair, the repaired pieces would be darker than the other12 panels. I asked the company why wouldn't they repair the other four panels and they said they were doing me a courtesy and would only repair two panels. Is this the type of business you would want to work with. You spend $22,000 on home improvement and 1 1/2 years later, that improvement depreciates your property value. Than they won't fix obvious flaws in the work they did. I wonder what other people think and actual masonry professionals. Other seniors watch out for this company because they do poor work and their customer service is terrible.
