I've been going to D's nails for over a year and have seen a few different nail techs. Unfortunately I have been seeing Kelly for about eight months. She used to do amazing amazing work. I referred many people to her unfortunately, the last couple times three to be exact my nails don't look like the picture. I let her know this and she will give me every excuse and get an attitude and not re do my few nails that need repolished. I've been here twice in the past month, I was really hoping to make this my new regular nail place. I came based on all the great reviews but both experiences were disappointing. The first time I had a builder gel mani with Nee, I paid extra for cuticle removal and she did a really thorough job. But the application was too bulky and thick and didn't look great, also I came back later in the day because a couple of my nails were crooked. A couple of my nails started lifting at the base after 2 weeks, I've never seen builder gel lift before- my nails were bending, hair getting caught underneath. Not good and painful as my nails underneath were bending really bad. I went for another builder gel mani a couple days ago and the guy who did my nails was pretty rude. I showed my lifting nails and he said it was my fault because I need to come more often than every 3 weeks, but that " I don't want to spend the money". This comment was not necessary, the manicure should have lasted 3-4 weeks, they make excuses for their shoddy work and I don't plan on returning. I also again paid extra for a manicure/ cuticle removal and he did this after applying the polish, resulting in leftover cuticle and poor application. Looks messy, and my nails are already bending. I don't expect this manicure to last more than two weeks either read more

It was my first time at this place, I wanted to try it out as I read reviews on this place and also wanted to try a different salon that offers builder gel/builder gel fills as there aren't many in my area. The salon itself is very nice and clean. But I had such a horrific experience with my builder gel fill. There was no attention to detail, and the work was extremely sloppy and felt rushed. The nails were shaped poorly and the builder gel and polish were applied poorly that you could see bubbles in the paint. I had to go home and file my nails to have them look somewhat decent, but still wasn't satisfied that I ended up going to another salon within the next couple of days because I couldn't stand to look at them. It was definitely not worth the 50+ that they charged me. I don't think I would be back. I also feel as if you're not a regular customer, you won't be getting what you wanted or expected. read more

Stopped by for a walk-in gel manicure. The receptionist was a bit abrupt and not very welcoming, but my nail tech was friendly and gave good advice on colors for my short nails. She did a nice job overall, and I'll update if the gel manicure lasts two weeks. That said, the cleanliness was a major concern. While the salon looks clean from the outside, the manicure stations were extremely dusty, with nail polish buildup on the lamps and layers of nail dust on the chairs. I even spotted an old acrylic nail on the table, which was never removed. The biggest red flag? My tech used an old file on my nails--not sanitary at all. Unfortunately, due to the hygiene issues, I don't think I'll be returning. read more

DO NOT BOOK KID MANI/PEDI- Yesterday I took my four-year-old daughter to this salon for her very first manicure and pedicure. We had booked a **kid manicure and pedicure in advance**, and it was confirmed. I was so excited to make this a special experience for her before our Disneyland trip. When we arrived, we were greeted kindly. However, once my daughter was seated for her pedicure, the technician (John) immediately began saying he wouldn't be able to do her pedicure because she was "too small." This conversation happened right in front of my daughter. After that, staff began speaking in their own language to each other while we were sitting there, which made both of us feel uncomfortable and unsure of what was going on. They ended up simply dipping her feet in water and painting her toenails --no actual pedicure service -- yet I was still charged full price. I had shown a simple Disney-inspired design beforehand (red nails with a mini bow), and they agreed they could do it. Once he started, he said he couldn't do the bow because it was regular polish. Again, saying this in front of my daughter. I convinced her to switch to a Mickey head instead. To make matters worse, her thumb nail smeared afterward. When I asked if it could be fixed, John had already walked away to help another client. The receptionist tried to quickly paint over it without redoing the design. When I asked if they were going to fix the white polka dots, she said they were too busy. I was essentially told they would just paint over it. At that point, I said no worries and went next door to Target to buy polish so I could fix my daughter's nails myself. This was supposed to be a sweet, memorable first experience for my daughter. Instead, she left disappointed and confused about why she didn't get the pedicure and design she was promised. She is four years old and fully understood that what she was told would happen did not happen. I was charged for a full pedicure that wasn't actually performed and for a design that was not properly completed or corrected. I am extremely disappointed. If you advertise kid manicures and pedicures, you should be prepared to provide a welcoming, accommodating, and positive experience for children especially for their first time. I would not recommend bringing children here. read more

I really wanted to give this salon a second chance, so I went in last week for my relaxing vacation nails, which I got Gel-x nails. I LOVED them everything was perfect, unfortunately not even a week but 4 days later two of my nails popped off out of no where and now I two other nails are already lifted to the point of falling off already. I am coming to this nail salon quite some time now. I love Ricky for pedicure (if you like a good massage and treatment for ingrow nail - he is the best !). FOr manicure I go to Ivy. She will treat your nails like her own. They are both amazing and I love how the location bring continuoulsy new styles and colors. I dont keep up with trents so i always find out the newest trent when there. Just did my nails with the Glow in the Dark Royal nail polishes but I cant wait to have the chrome ones. I hadn't visited recently, and when I decided to come back, I noticed there was an entirely new staff. I really liked the previous employees because they were gentle, neat, and took their time with their work. Unfortunately, the current staff seems rushed and does a sloppy job. I was hoping to like this place. It was my first time there, so I didn't have a preferred tech, I had hoped they'd assign me to one who'd do a clean job. But the experience itself wasn't pleasant. It seemed like the tech still needs a lot of practice with gel x. Wish she didn't practice on me, a paying customer. I would have asked my daughter to do it instead. I can't seem to add more photos. But my other hand shows excess glue going past my nails! I still tipped the minimum I felt bad for her because she tried. I am new to the area and this was my first salon experience here and maybe the first ever 5-star review I've ever given to a nail salon! Kevin was my nail tech. He was quiet, but I appreciate that as other techs get distracted when they are too chatty. Kevin paid so much attention to detail while being efficient. I appreciate that immensely, especially since the price of nail services has increased everywhere since the pandemic. I asked for a fill and re-shape of my previous set from another salon. Kevin matched the natural pink color perfectly and than re-shaped and re-structured my acrylics so they would be stronger and less clunky. I asked him to change the shape from a square to an almond, and the end result was beautiful! He skillfully applied a pearl chrome on top for the most natural-glam nails I have ever had. The pictures don't do justice to the subtle chrome, but these are literally the only nails I have ever paid for that are literally PERFECT. I made an appointment for Wednesday at noon for gel-x, I normally come here and everyone is nice. Although my recent visit was the worst experience ever, when it came to buffing my nails Alex was being very aggressive with my nails. He then proceeded to file under my nails and was pressing really hard I told him "ouch that hurts" I noticed my thumb was bleeding and I told him to stop. When I went to wash my hands w water the bleeding under my nail wouldn't stop. I told him hey the bleeding isn't stopping, he said the gel x glue was stuck to my thumb and he was trying to separate it w the point file they use for underneath the nail. He was so rough with the tip of the file the wound on my thumb won't close, it's been a whole day now and it feels like a fresh wound. I would have thought it would close by now but no it still hurts, I don't recommend anyone getting their nails done by Alex. read more

LET'S GET INTO IT! I had an appointment here on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 2:45 pm for a pedicure. This was actually my second visit. About 5 months ago I came in and, while the polish looked nice, the overall maintenance wasn't impressive. Still, I decided to give them another chance because I wanted to try the overall experience again, this time with a matte or marble look. Unfortunately, the experience was even worse this time, and I will never return in no LIFETIME. The nail care itself was rushed and sloppy. The technician spent 5 seconds on each toe when trimming and filing. The cuticle work was awful you could still see the whiteness of old cuticles on all my toes even after she finished. The exfoliating and smoothing step was almost nonexistent, and it honestly made me wonder if she had proper training. When I politely tried to explain that the shape was not what I asked for and that my feet still looked the same as when I first sat down, instead of handling feedback professionally, the technician completely overreacted. She pretended not to understand english, then got up, slammed a towel down, stormed from the back to the front, and started venting loudly in her language. It was extremely rude, unprofessional, and made me feel very confused and uncomfortable especially since I remained calm and respectful the entire time. The only positive was the young receptionist, who was sweet enough to step in and try to help by filing and polishing for me. Even then, when I pointed out the obvious cuticle issue, she admitted she didn't know what to do. This second visit was the worst the technician's behavior was downright disrespectful. Between the lack of skill, poor attitude, and wasted money, I will never return. You want to get your money's worth, especially with prices so high these days. No one wants to waste money unnecessarily you want to leave satisfied. The service cost me $40, and I still gave the young lady at the front a tip. It's very disappointing to see older adults act so childishly unprofessional while working with the public. I paid for the service without arguing, because I didn't want to fight over it I'd rather let karma take care of her. The young lady at the front demonstrated what great customer service looks like by stepping in to fix the problem without showing any irritation, which really reflects the type of parents she has and how she was raised. I don't have a picture because, after stepping outside and seeing my feet in the sunlight, I immediately drove 10 minutes to my regular nail salon, where I knew I would leave satisfied. I know you're probably wondering why I didn't go there first simply because the two ladies I like were fully booked and I didn't want to wait, plus I thought they didn't offer marble or matte designs. When I arrived, they asked if I had just gotten my nails done today because the polish looked fresh. I didn't want to say anything at first, especially after seeing how she had handled cleaning my cuticles and calluses on the bottom of my feet. Eventually, I admitted that yes, I had gone somewhere else, and they were completely shocked. The owner and staff wanted to know where, and of course I eventually told them. Then she playfully asked, "Who did it best?" and I said, This salon, of course hands down. Everything they do, however, is exceptional. If you know the proper way your feet and nails should be cared for, you wouldn't come here. At best, I could only recommend this place for special polish designs, like marble or other creative nail art, but for real nail and foot care, this is absolutely not the place. I did look at the photos on their yelp review posts, and some of them seemed nice. It's possible that some of the technicians work shown in the pictures are probably no longer employees of D's House Nails.
