This is my new go-to nail salon! After moving from Oakland I knew I had limited time to find a new place to get my nails done - my gel manicure was starting to get really horrifyingly grown out. After reading a bunch of reviews I decided to try out Mirage Nails and I'm so glad I did! I called ahead to make an appointment and I was scheduled for a Sunday. When I got to the salon it was fairly busy and I was early, but I didn't have to wait too long to be seen. I picked my color and my old manicure was off in a blink of an eye. The manicure itself went well too. I waited to write a review to see how the manicure stood the test of time (which is the real hallmark of a good manicure in my humble opinion) and two weeks later it's still looking great! And prices are very reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back when I decide to switch up the colors! read more

Mikki & Kim are the best! Been coming here for a little less than a year & they always do a great job & most importantly, they always make sure to do what I want & make sure I like my nails before I leave. If anything happens to my nails, they are happy to fix them, usually at no cost to me. They are busy often so best to call & make an appointment. Highly recommend! read more

I came in for the first time today and man, I should have come to my regular place. I like to have multiple options but needless to say I won't be back here. I called to make an appt and asked specifically if they had the machine to do callous remover. My feet are notoriously dry since Covid and my regular place uses a sandpaper tool and my feet feel as soft as a baby!! I was told they did. However the older woman who did my pedicure did not use it and was going to really let me leave with dry flaky skin on the bottom of my feet! The daughter ended up getting a tool and fixing the situation and discounting me but then everyone was staring at me and talking about me after that. How embarrassing!!!! The gel manicure was really so so. The older lady got up several times to help other people. For a gel manicure and pedicure with zero frills I spent TWO AND A HALF HOURS THERE! Ridiculous! Definitely won't be back. There is truly nothing special about this place. The regulars need to stay regulars because newbies like myself are scared off! read more

Absolutely LOVE this salon. I've been a regular since 2022, and have ventured out to maybe two or three other nail salons since -- but can NEVER find anywhere else that has such high quality nail polishes, with such consistent service (I almost always ask for Kim or Kimmy*), that can easily color match the Pinterest photos I walk in with. I typically ask for either a natural pink or nude or French tip with an almond or squared shape. Before I started coming here, I actually used to be incredibly insecure about my hands because I had very wide nail beds with outgrown cuticles. However, with time, I've grown incredibly confident with my hands & try to photograph my manicures every time I get them done! read more

I got a French gel mani with Kim. She was very nice and friendly but I am disappointed by my mani. After getting back in my car from the service, I could already tell there were issues. The white tip had bled into the rest of the nail probably because it wasn't dry all the way before she put on the topcoat. The white tips also were not done super well. They were messy. Also, within a day or two, The gel was already lifting from some of the corners of my nails. Six days after the manicure, and the gel completely lifted from my thumb nail! At least this means they will come off easily? I paid $35 for the mani + $5 for the French. I tipped $10. read more

I've been a regular at Mirage Nails for around 6 months now and I refuse to get my nails done anywhere else - I absolutely love this place! Kim does an amazing job with my dip manicures and they always turn out beautifully. I've had bad experiences at other salons before: expensive manicures barely lasting 5 days, sloppy/bad work, nail techs being too rough with my hands, etc. but I'm happy to say that has never been the case here. Kim is always very gentle and has a great eye for detail. My dip manicures typically last around 3-4 weeks. Highly recommend checking this salon out! read more

A very last minute idea to get a pedicure on a Sunday since we were going to run errands in the area and I'm so glad we gave this place a try. My husband and I went in for pedicures. I was taken care of by Mikki, and she's so sweet and very attentive. We felt very comfortable with the staff. This will be our go to spot for nail services. :). Since finding them in October, Ive made it a point to come back every month for a new gel set. Micki, Rose, and Kim are amazing. So much fun to be around and always remember people that come in. They do a great job every time and I'm always so excited about my new sets. They also choose really great colors! They always have trendy, fun colors to pick from. I would honestly give this place a five star if I got a massage since I got a spa gel pedicure and manicure. I love how they are open on holiday and accommodating they are especially Kim and her daughter. But I didn't get any massage nor a good foot scrub. I was disappointed with that. I got a V French tip. It was good when you are looking on top but the sides aren't. They charged me $90 and I paid $90 + $30 since they accommodate me on such a short notice. read more

My first time at Mirage Nails last week on Wednesday for Gel-X nails. The salon is in a very small shopping center that I have driven by many times, but it's easy to miss the shopping center so I have overlooked it. I'm so happy I found Mirage Nails through Yelp. I got my nails done by Mikki. She did such a fantastic job! Four days ago today from Wednesday of last week, and I'm still so impressed with how my nails turned out. A friend referred me to Kim at Mirage Nails and I am so pleased with my manicure! Kim is a perfectionist and has such a fun personality. She sculpted my former thick acrylic nails into a more natural, thinner almond shape and I will be slowly transitioning over to using builder gel to grow & strengthen my natural nails. These ladies (Kim and daughter Mikki) can do some nails. I always leave satisfied with the job that Kim does on my nails. I have not actually had Mikki do my nails yet, but I have every single confidence that her level of skill and expertise is just the same as her Mom's. This place is always busy so if you don't make an appointment, you don't have a snowballs chance in getting in to get your nails done. read more

I have been coming to Kim and her family for over a year now. I enjoy the small conversations we have and that they remember their clients and what they like and dislike. Walked in for a pedicure and they were able to squeeze me in that moment. The gentlemen that did my pedicure was very meticulous and careful both on the cuticle removal and when painting my nails. The pedicure consisted of a pumice stone for calluses, massage, cuticle removal, and nail polish for $35. Other places in Walnut Creek also include a sugar scrub for the same price but I still think this was worth it. The vibe was chill. I have had really positive experiences here. Kim is so talented, pays so much attention to detail, and truly wants to give you the nails you are asking for. Not to mention, shes very kind. I have gone to so many different nail spas and stopped going due to bad costumer service, chipped nails after a week, and overall not feeling cared for. I don't feel that way with Mirage. Came to mirage nails for the first time today and loved it! Kim was able to fit me in after much back and forth in scheduling which I really appreciated. I showed her a design I liked on the spot and she was able to do something similar. I even had a broken nail that she was able to fix with ease. Can't even tell which was broken anymore. Kim is the sweetest lady ever. I called about 9:50 on a Monday morning and she was able to do my gel manicure right away. I had a couple of chips from every day movements and instead of cutting all my nails down, she was able to patch them and fix them so I can keep my natural length (my natural nails are really hard to grow). She's super funny and charismatic and is able to grow a solid relationship with her customers. The nail service itself was fantastic. She swatched a few different colors on my nails so I could decide and was helpful with the process. Overall, I spent $35 for a gel manicure and it took her 25-30 min. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend going here and asking for Kim. read more

Mikki is a sweetheart and an extremely competent professional. I have very sensitive cuticles - the kind that start bleeding just from looking at them - and she did an outstanding job. No ouchies for me! I wanted natural-looking nails and that's what I got (think ballet slippers by Essie). Mikki's mom is super funny and charismatic. People are amazed to hear that I have anything done to my nails (besides polish), as Mirage's talented staff makes them look SO natural. Nobody needs to know that my "real" fingernails and toenails nails are terrible, because Mirage makes them look great. I've been going here for YEARS. Lisa's a standout -- helpful and extremely good at what she does -- as is everyone else who works here. Great nail salon, great value. read more

Ok so now I'm happy!!! I called and got in right away (glad I checked because they are a busy place; very welcome to walk-ins if you have a little time to spare.) Lisa did my pedicure. She is lovely, very attentive and LISTENS (I broke my toe so my feet need extra TLC.) The shop is small but clean and the prices are SO good. However, they used gel polish on those two fingers, so now I have two gel nails while the rest are regular polish and continuing to chip. I specifically chose regular polish because gel makes my nails very brittle. It's only been two days and my nails already look really bad. I also have to mention that the salon really needs a deeper clean. The tables were covered in nail powder and everything looked messy and unkept.
