I had such a great experience at D's Six Pax and Dogz. We ordered the chili dog with fries and also tried the traditional wings with D's dry rub. The wings were absolutely perfect. Honestly, they are probably the best wings I have had in Pittsburgh so far. I love crispy and crunchy wings, and these were exactly that. Full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and so satisfying. The fries and the hot dog were amazing as well. I love that they only use beef hot dogs, which is a huge plus for me. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. We also tried the root beer since I heard they are known for it. It was just regular root beer to me, but still fun to try. The environment is super chill, and the service was totally fine. Nothing over the top, but friendly enough and no issues at all. They also have a section in the back where you can browse different beers, which is a cool touch. This is a bar you could go to every weekend, and still have tons of beers and food to try. What a great spot! We sat while waiting for pizza across the street and had a great time. Both beers were great! And I never would have tried a cinnamon sugar rum on a beer but since they suggested, I tried it. Perfect combo. The wings were a little small, but they were crispy and the sauce was great. Be warned, Swissvale gold is SPICY! Love spicy foods, but this one definitely hits you right away and lingers. Very solid spot for some cheap and reasonably high quality American food. I got to try their grilled cheese sandwich (very basic but still tasty), the chips, and their ranch. Everything was quite good. The grilled cheese was cheap for a nice portion. Classic American cheese in an ample portion, oozing out of the bread. Not too buttery. Would have liked a bit more of a crisp, but not bad. Chips were great. Well seasoned, and more than ample portion size as a side. The staff are all personable, the food always comes out quickly, and the menu rarely disappoints. My boyfriend always orders a Chicago dog, and I never pass on the beer-battered fries. This time, they were also running a special on buffalo chicken dip, so as a self-proclaimed Buffalo chicken dip snob I couldn't resist. It was a bit underwhelmed, but it was still good overall. I've only been here twice and both times I've sat outside, so I can't review the inside of the restaurant, but it was great that both times I was outside I did not feel neglected at all, which sometimes happens at places when you sit outside. D's is casual double-storefront in a block full of restaurants and cafes in Regent Square just east of Frick Park. At 4pm on a Sunday, we found street-parking along S. Braddock Ave, and saw more on the cross-streets. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is cute with a wall-length semi-classical mural in one of two rooms. They make really good Chicago dogs on poppy seed buns! The dogs are genuine Viennas, the toppings are fresh and tasty and generous. (Sorry, but the relish isn't neon-green as it should be.) They have many other creative dogs, too, pizzas, hoagies, grilled chicken sandwiches, and burgers, including turkey-dogs, veggie-dogs and burgers. The large order of fries is enormous! Enough for five people! They were piping hot and crispy with a light coating. Great beer selection, and you can choose from a walk-in beer refrigerator in the back. We got friendly quick service. This is our neighborhood pub, and we walk over quite often. It's always buzzing with activity. There's a ton of choice for beer on tap, and if you can't find something there, they have a "Beer Cave" (walk in cooler) that is sure to deliver. Service is always great - efficient, speedy. Great for families w/ kids or couples on a casual date. Some faves: dry rub wings; MasonDixon, Hot Valentine, & Hot Cheese dogs; sub in sweet potato fries when possible; the grilled chicken salad w/ their homemade House Italian dressing (I get this to go quite often and pick off most of the fries if I wanna go the healthy route); and classic white and Popeye pizzas. Not the best - bit they're quite tasty. Their veggie burger isn't bad, either. Love that they also offer a veggie dog. Something for everyone! read more

They of course have hot dogs with various arrangements of toppings and styles, but they also make a point of having a decent vegetarian hot dog and have done so since before it was cool. I've also been impressed by their salads and other quasi-healthy options. It's an all around great place, with a really helpful and capable staff that makes every experience fun. I ordered the chili cheese and hot tiki dogs. It was pretty good but my second bite into my chili cheese dog was rudely interrupted by a used tampon. Yes a used tampon was hiding among the chili and cheese. The server Jessica said I looked like I was into that because I have abnormal large teeth and called me "vamp fag boy." I'm stoked that D's recovered from their fire damage in 2021 to re-open. My wife and I got takeout there recently and remembered how much we like it. Our food was ready in 15-20 minutes on a Friday night around dinner time - nothing like a smooth experience! This time we tried their boneless wings with mild sauce. They were very crispy and lightly sauced, which was great (sometimes take-out wings can be doused in sauce). They were like deluxe, adult chicken nuggets! Our side of fries was crispy and yummy although they had to be re-heated after the ride home in the car. We tried two new dogs this time. The Hot Valentine was a delicious mix of sweet (yam fries) and spicy (sriracha-infused cole slaw). Kept us on our toes without overdoing it on the spice. Perfect with a hot sausage dog to complement the sriracha. We also created-our-own dog with avocado, bacon, and a classic dog, which was a delicious mix of soft and crispy toppings. We wanted to have some leftovers, so we also got the Mason Dixon with a D's Brat (cheesy bratwurst). Like last time, we loved the toppings - slaw and chili slathered on and mixed to perfection. But we didn't love the Brat because the cheese flavor reminded us a bit too much of goopy cheese sauce. If I have one constructive suggestion, they could update their take-out containers to be more environmentally friendly. Currently they use all styrofoam. read more

They welcomed me and my sister, poked some fun conversation and let us sit where we wanted. Upon sitting, one guy walked up and struck up a conversation like I was his neighbor or best friend. Came here for a lunch in between mic check and I was seated immediately. It was fairly empty and I was instructed to sit where I would like. I opted to find a cider in the Beer Cave which was Arsenal Cider Ginger event blend which was soooo refreshing. I ordered a Ben turkey dog and a Mason Dixon dog I loved the mason dixon dog but the Ben was to cheesy for me (which is my fault) my fries came out piping hot with cheese. The over all atmosphere is a chill dim lit atmosphere a cool place for friends and families to come. They also have patio seating as well.
