He told me to let him know in a few days if the leak persisted. Well, it did persist. I texted him to come back and fix it--no response. He never showed up again. If you're looking for someone reliable, who stands behind their work, I'd recommend going elsewhere. This felt like a quick cash grab, not a serious or professional service.

Crescenta Valley water replaced the water mains a few years ago throughout my neighborhood, and…read morethey said that they had great difficulty hooking up my existing galvanized water main pipe that went up to my house back to the new water main. They said it was extremely corroded and needed to be replaced. I am doing a bunch of renovations to my house right now, and decided it was time to replace the old pipe. I called around and got a few quotes that were pretty ridiculous, and one company wanted me to pay for them to come out and give me a quote, even though they are literally 1.9 miles away from my house! I finally called my plumber who has worked with my family for decades, but doesn't do this type of work. He recommended John. I called him up, and he came right over and gave me a very reasonable quote. I booked him the following week. His crew came out at 8:30am. He had told me that the water would be off for 4 to 6 hours, and that they would be done before 5pm. They turned off the water at around 10:30, and were done with the job by 1:30. I am beyond happy with their work! I have a xeriscape front yard with lots of big, sharp cactus. His crew worked around all my plants, and didn't leave a mark on any of them. My neighbor commented to me after the install was done that he couldn't tell that any work had been done. Always a good sign.

I arrived home to John walking my brother through a million reasons why a new water pipeline had to be installed after discovering a leak. After quietly observing the derogatory lectures he ranted on about, I listened as he quoted some crazy price and left. He called a short while later asking what we wanted to do, and my brother said that we were leaning towards capping it, even if it was a temporary fix as we needed the water back on. John told him he'd cap it today free of charge, but he needs $2300 cash upfront tomorrow for the major fix. As it seemed a ridiculous (cash) amount, we sought a second opinion. Another plumber called after reviewing the videos of the leak and although he couldn't make it, he was happy to provide a solution so that some other plumber (I.e. John) could-- take notes John, THAT'S good service. When my brother proposed the idea to John over the phone he responded "I thoroughly explained to you why we could or couldn't do that", again in a derogatory voice. You don't want to take the time to explain it again to someone who isn't a plumber? Okay fine, I guess I get it. At this point I told my brother that my fiancé was arriving in a couple hours, and he's capped pipes before, it shouldn't be a big deal if you want to wait for the other plumber to be available. I didn't want my brother to have to keep putting up with this rude individual. Again, over the phone--my brother says, "okay, my sister's fiancé's coming home soon and--" and before he could continue, John cuts him off and says "oh what? he's a handyman? then let him take care of it" and HANGS UP. but wait, there's more... my brother had just texted John before the phone call, proposing the solution that the other plumber had suggested. John obviously reads this late because he has the audacity to call back and when my brother picks up and politely addresses him, John aggressively says "so what do you want to do? I'll put a shorter nipple (the other plumber's suggestion) for $500" Confused, my brother said "what do you mean? You just hung up on me" and John ACKNOWLEDGES the fact that he hung up on him and says "I thought we were done" I was so angry I yelled at my brother to hang up. Yes, we're done John. You don't get our business and as long as I can help it, you won't be getting the business of anyone we know. You're a money-hungry scammer and I'm sorry for anyone that feels that they have to interact with you. The way you treat people is DISGUSTING and I'm genuinely embarrassed for you. I called the company who previously hydro jetted to come back out and do it again. I even told them I needed them to hydro jet and they didn't bother to bring the van with the hydro jet machine. They told me they would come back in a couple hours (after a personal appointment). Needless to say they did not. Instead they strung me along all day just to cancel on me at 5 p.m. He was originally out at 11 a.m. I called Rooter Boys around 5 p.m. and spoke with Tony who connected me the technician, Sam. Sam said he'd be out to me between 40 minutes to an hour. I think he was there under 40 minutes. Sam was fast, efficient, super nice and more importantly super knowledgeable! An added bonus is Rooter Boys was considerably CHEAPER than the other guys! I would definitely recommend them to everyone I know!!!

When I explained the situation, Scott personally responded, and ascertained what the situation was. I was impressed that he presented two options, and was very clear as to costs and how soon he could get the work done. As Baysinger needed a sub, in the form of a tile-setter, he introduced us to another very experienced tradesman. In a few short days, they'd demolished the extant bathroom, replaced the shower with a perfectly executed walk-in, with custom tile. Another issue was the height of the royal throne, which was solved with the installation of a high quality replacement. In the billing, there were no surprises, or efforts to up-sell my family. The price was fair, but good work is never inexpensive. To Scott and his crew, I am very grateful.
