Disappointed long time customer for 30+ years. Recently called Kerrygold to repair bathroom shower (water temperature could not be adjusted and was much too hot) and to install two safety grab bars. I provided the part and the shower temperature work took a little less than one hour. The grab bars sitting on the bathroom counter were not installed and the amount charged was an outrageous $325! Called Mike several times about the problem and he said he would speak with David and call me back. I finally left a message for David to call me, however, he has not returned my call. I am a long time customer and am extremely disappointed that a company I thought was reliable no longer cares about their customers and now only provides unsatisfactory service. So, we just had Kerrygold plumbing out to replace our twelve year old water heater and they did an excellent job! Mauricio and Omar worked incredibly hard what with moving the old unit off the pedestal and installing the new one. Our arrangement was extra difficult as the pedestal also had a large metal pole in front of it to keep you from hitting it with a vehicle. This made lifting the old and new units harder as the pole was much higher than the pedestal. Mauricio did a great job cutting and soldering all the new pipe together. Omar was a terrific assistant prepping the pipes and helping with all aspects of the installation. They completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned all areas of the work site. I must have screened 8 plumbers for a tankless water heater install at my home. I felt the MOST confidence with Kerrygold. They absolutely knew what they were doing, they were professionals, and easy to communicate with. I'm a long time construction project mgr., so I KNOW the difference between pro's and wanna-be's. After a couple of scheduling snafus on getting an estimate and scheduling the job, we got the job dine. We needed a box for all our laundry supply and waste lines as well as a box for a refrigerator water line. They did an amazing job of getting everything rerouted and moved around and everything seems to work perfectly! We were able to move our washer and dryer back by nearly three inches. I've used them 3 times, one for a gas line relocation and twice for a plumbing issue. Today really spoke volumes about the company. They came out because one of their former employee's repairs failed. Marcus diagnosed that the issue was due to the repair being done poorly by the former worker. He repaired the issue quickly and there was no charge! Seriously, find another company that honest! I smelled some gas and thought my water heater was leaking gas... I called Kerrygold and they were extremely helpful and set up an appointment right away. Joe, the technician, came out and verified that the heater was not the problem. Joe checked the vent on roof and realized it had collapsed. Because of that the gas was leaking into my garage.. We received a personal call from the owner of Kerrygold Plumbing expressing his displeasure of what happened, and assured us that the money that we were charged would be refunded. We appreciate this! Kerrygold Plumbing is fantastic! I used them for cleaning out my patio drains which were backed up for months. Willy D. showed up on time for my estimate, he was professional, courteous and honest. Once he broke down what I needed done he was able to schedule my service for the following week. Willy and his colleague showed up on time for my service, and even gave me a 30 minute notice so I knew exactly when they would arrive. They completed the job within the 2 hours they quoted, provided a write up of exactly what they did, and included what they found when using the cameras- they showed me exactly what the camera was capturing and explained everything in detail. I highly recoding them and will use them again as an annual cleaning of my drains! thank you. Updated Review: I had to call Kerrygold plumbing again for a leak that I had coming out of refrigerator and leaked underneath my hardwood floors. The issue was a pin hole in the hose on the back of the fridge that had caused the damage underneath my floors. When I called they sent someone one out to fix it but he failed to ensure If the leak was still active in another part of the floor or what kind of damage this has caused. They charged me $350 for what took 15 minutes to do, which was replace the refrigerator hose from the water filter to the water line. They are grossly overpriced and their cost is in justified. I'm mad I didn't demand they lower it. I will reconsider calling them again in the future. 2nd Update: Kerrygold is a class act. The owner Dave called me to correct the issue I noted above! There's not too much to say here. We wanted to get our sewage ejector pump inspected as we've been in the house for 5 years now without doing so. The office was prompt to respond and schedule having a senior tech come to do so. I was referred to Kerrygold by my brother-in-law who had had a very good experience with them about a year ago. I initially got a couple of bids from some other sewer contractors and the quotes were all over the board and I was assuming that some were lowballing and some, perhaps didn't even know what they were going to excavate when it came down to the real work. My house was built in 1956 and I had hydrojeted my clean out many times, but after due diligence and experience from Kerrygold, I was told that I needed to replace the line from my clean out that went to the main city line, which was 15 feet deep!! You can imagine my concern when I heard about this. Meanwhile, Doug, who is one of their main go to people came out with his partner and camera and diagnosed the scenario and gave a bid within a days time. I was also very impressed that Dave who is the manager and part owner spoke to me over the phone thoroughly for at least an hour or so regarding the work that needed to be done step-by-step and how they backed their work up and would not be changing their pricing on me. I should also mention that while getting an estimate for the mainline we also had them inspect underneath the house to see which pipes needed to be replaced and was given a very fair quote. I should mention that because this was a bit of a dangerous job. It was crucial to know that they were bonded and insured which I recommend to everyone Meanwhile, after I agreed and signed the contract, we set a date and they showed up promptly and completed the work in less time than anticipated. What I also liked is that they started the job and finished the work without taking days off in between. Their work was very thorough and they showed me everything they were doing as each day progressed. To say the least, we were EXTREMELY pleased with all of their work and only had a minor hitch with a sprinkler from the excavation which they gladly came back to fix the next day. I would highly recommend Kerrygold Plumbing and appreciate their warranty and hard work. Lastly, I want to mention that their front office lady Katherine who handled all of the calls and communication was always great in getting back to me in a timely manner and made the process very simple. My coworkers and myself were very impressed with Marcus' speedy, friendly, and accurate service! Our old water heater at work (years old and from another company) started leaking and nearly caught on fire when the wires inside got wet and started sparking. Kerrygold is a very professional, family run business. We have been dealing with a long running issue at my parents' mobile home in Canoga Park. My parents are elderly and pretty combative. On top of that, they are hoarders. Since I haven't lived in that area for 20 years, I wasn't familiar with a good plumber to use. I did my research on Yelp and other places and finally decided to go with Kerrygold. They are a family owners business for like 50 years. They worked on the problem, acted like the place totally normal (it's not) they weren't able to fix it but did refund my deposit and I got a phone call from the owner personally. I couldn't take a shower for one whole week. Called RooterShark Plumbing $30.00 drain cleaning. Ted the owner came out worked for 2 hours couldn't fix the problem. Ted then sent Armondo. Excellent service. I had a drain clog blocking my two master bathroom sinks (on the second floor). The clog was beyond the P traps and difficult (impossible?) to reach with a snake going the usual route. Marcus and Mauricio had seen this problem before and checked to see if there was a roof vent for the sink drains. There was, and Marcus climbed onto my roof (though he has a fear of heights) and was able to clear the clog with the snake through the roof vent. They could have easily ignored the roof vent solution and advised that the only way to access the drain pipes was to cut through the wall which would have been an expensive fix. We used Kerrygold Plumbing for a number of plumbing problems at our home. We ultimately needed them to (1) stop a small leak under the house, (2) replace a part on a running toilet, (3) replace a dripping/leaking kitchen faucet, and (4) replace the pressure relief valve and pressure regulator. We had only called them out for items 1 and 2, but then noticed lingering issues after their visit. It took a few more visits (4 in total over a couple of weeks) to diagnose and solve all the issues after the initial repairs, but after speaking with the owner Dan, we figured it out and got back on track. My dad had recommended Kerrygold to me after using them for a major pipe repair, and we both found Kerrygold to be fair, pleasant to work with, and professional. They show up on time (or even early) and complete the repairs in the projected timeframe. Most importantly, they do good quality work and will come back quickly if the problem isn't solved. He is the only person who came up with a better plan from the other 5 companies that I interviewed. The workers were also knowledgeable and friendly.
