DSL is just amazing! Been coming here for over a year since our pup was old enough to attend. They are extremely great at communicating for booking day-care or boarding. We've used both - our gal gets a really great workout and a nice playdate on a day-care day. We've also used them multiple times for boarding, and they are affordable, flexible on drop/pick up times, GREAT staff, and our gal always seems so happy & de-stressed after a visit here! They use text for drop & pick up, and it's very easy. Dogs get lots of supervised and structured play time, smaller and younger dogs protected and separated if needed. Great facility!!!! read more

We decided to go with DSL for training for our maltese/yorkie mix, Dexter per the recommendation of our vet. Dexter was having some behavioral issues that concerned us. We went for our initial assessment and I immediately felt comfortable with the staff. Ali up front is always a ray of sunshine when you walk in and always makes it a point to love on our boy. Sarah and Alfredo have done wonders for Dexter. They started with the basics all over again to give him a solid foundation and he has thrived. He is much more responsive to us and much less aggressive than when we started. It's clear how good they are to fur babies, because Dexter is always so excited to see Sarah & Alfredo for training. I especially love how Alfredo uses his dogs for training our dog as well. It's taught Dexter proper dog socialization. I cannot say enough good things about DSL and their staff. It's like we have a completely different dog, and for that I am so grateful. read more

We are never bringing our dog back here. We dropped him off for boarding as a shiny, well-maintained, robust, beautiful lab. We picked him up today and he looks like one of those dogs from the ASPCA commercials with Sarah Mclaughlin in the background. Our handsome dog has welts and open sores on his nose and forehead and he had lost at least 5-10 pounds in 5 days. His ribs and spine are showing. I've never seen him like this. All he can do is sleep and it's apparent that he did not get any rest at this facility. DSL called us 2 days into our vacation and said he had somehow gotten "bruised" on his nose and was rubbing it against his crate. My question : how did he get an open sore?? Clearly, he and another dog got into and altercation and he was bleeding. He continued to pick at it. We left our vacation early and when we picked him up, his whole nose and forehead were raw and bloody. We have brought him here for training before and the trainer would never meet us at pickup to show us how to continue the training at home. We emailed asking if we could meet with him after work and he said we'd need to book another training and we'd talk then. This went on for a few visits. Back to the boarding... We are now booked for a vet visit to fix the open sores and are trying to plump our handsome dog back up to his normal weight. read more

I read the other two reviews and thought "that can't be the same place we took our pup to". Maybe these are people that the staff know...can't figure it out. The dogs were all locked up in kennels and it appeared that they had been locked up for a long time. We were shown a very nice play area...but it looked untouched. Clearly, the dogs had not been playing there in a while. We should have listened to our "gut" and drove way...fast! ...but, we left our dog/baby at this place. We were not able to get an answer when we called to check on our dog. The staff seemed very secretive and rushed. We were not allowed to pick our dog up until we sent a text, then, waited for a response, then they made us wait outside while they released him and brought him out of the gate. Our dog had a sad temperament and dog bites all over his body. None of the staff commented on it. They took our money and sent us on our way. NEVER AGAIN! I would not recommend this place to a stray dog. ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC SERVICE. ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE. read more

We board our Lhasa Apso, Rio at DSL while traveling. Wonderful environment, carefully maintained and closely supervised are just a few of the compliments I can share. DSL offers daily boarding which allows Rio to enjoy a vast amount of social activities during his stay. Alfredo and Sarah do a wonderful job of identifying like personalities so playtime's are fun not threatening. Their daily Facebook postings allow you to check up on your pet frequently. Apso's are natural watchdogs and Rio had picked up some annoying barking habits with his first owners. We decided to invest in some training sessions with Alfredo and Sarah and we are so happy we invested the time and effort. Rio now reacts positively to a small selection of commands and, for the most part doesn't feel compelled to bark at everyone and everything that walks by. DSL trains the owners and the dog! We are extremely pleased with the outcome and highly recommend DSL. read more

Last two times I left my dog there, he came home either bleeding or injured. I noticed they never put pictures of our dog online so we never know how he is doing there while we see pictures of other peoples dogs. He appears to have been abused as when i tell him to sit, he now lies down exposing his belly as if someone is going to hurt him. He never did this before. He came home fearful and injured. When we mentioned the injuries they blamed our dog. They are supposed to be watching him and protecting him. He does not get injured at home. They are expensive so I expected better service. Also, they do not allow people to go back and inspect the dog kennels or exercise area. From their responses to other people I can see they are very sarcastic and uncaring as to the concerns of pet owners. They should realize our pets are our family! read more

I have had a lot of experience in boarding my 2 dogs and this place is simply HEAVENLY for dogs. My 2 yorkies are beyond spoiled and I am very particular where I leave them. The owner and his staff are wonderful. Prior to boarding, they allowed me to visit unannounced. I've never seen so many dogs having so much fun in the massive immaculate play area. (a staff member immediately cleaned if a dog had to go potty) The dogs were split up in large areas by size with lots of supervision. Most of the dogs were running and playing but some just loved lounging in the shady areas. I also visited the area where the dogs all slept. While the dogs were out playing a staff member was checking and cleaning any crates that needed attention. Needless to say, I was very happy to see this area so clean and temperature controlled. After visiting I knew I had found a perfect boarding and training place for my 2 doggies. I recently had several trips planned that I needed to board them with DSL. My experience in working with them has over exceeded my expectations. Now my dogs get excited when I pull in to drop them off. I feel like they too are going on a vacation when boarding here. I LOVE the way I set up an appointment to drop and pick up. When I arrive I simply text them and they meet me at my car for me to drop my doggies off. Also when I come to pick them up at my appointed time, I text them when I arrive and they immediately bring my doggies out and help me load up. I think their drop off and pick up service is so convenient. Here is the part I LOVE the most, the staff takes so many pictures of the dogs while they are in their care and they post the pics on their Facebook page daily. While I am away, I love visiting DSL's Facebook page and seeing pics of my little guys having so much fun. Needless to say, I am a huge fan of DSL. These people LOVE dogs and it shows. I have recommended them to so many friends and we all feel the same about leaving our dogs at DSL...it's a heavenly place to board and train your dog(s). read more

We have a four month old puppy and were referred to DSL by a neighbor. We were hesitant to leave our puppy at a kennel but after speaking to Ali and having her ease all our fears and learning that the dogs have about 8 hours of playtime together a day (at no additional charge!) we were sold. We love seeing all the pictures posted after each playtime and Ali and the staff went WAY above and beyond in so many ways! Specifically, our puppy had eaten some valuable jewelry hours before we were leaving the country and needed to drop her off and they actually took the time to inspect and search for the jewelry until it was successfully recovered! I honestly am not sure how many people would have had as much compassion to do that for a stranger and I will forever be so grateful for them taking such great care of our puppy and for caring so much!
