This is a cool spot to grab a drink with friends if attending an event at Durham Central Park. They offer lots of seating and many games to play. I've never had a single beer that I liked there so thank God they now serve mixed drinks! Grab some friends and some mixed drinks and you can have a good time.

I had one of their beers at another bar and I fell in LOVE. Apparently a lot of other people did too because everyone was out and they had to brew a new batch (PB&J Turbo Fluff!!!) I went on their website to inquire when it' be available again and the store manager responded (very quickly) for about two weeks in the future so I made a note and planned a day date with my husband. We took last Friday off and went to grab lunch downtown. Afterwards, we made our way here and yes, they did in fact have my beer! I was very excited so we ordered a glass (don't think this one comes in a pint pour) and my husband got an IPA (Super Computer). We sat and talked in the very sunny interior. Two of the four walls are all window and it was extremely nice outside so it was lovely inside. There were plants all around which made the vibe fun, especially with all of the other worldly decor and murals. My husband grew up in Durham and was telling me all about the Liberty cafe and the storage space across the street that he experienced as a young child. It was pretty neat to hear about how downtown used to be. They had a small space at the back for vendors, 3 bathrooms, and LOTS of board games. I also saw stuff for kids and dogs so I believe they are welcome as well. The bartender was kind and answer all of my questions (I had a lot. He was patient!) We ended up having a couple of beers and then buying some to take home. Since we came early on a Friday afternoon, it was easy to find street (PAID) parking. I believe there is also a parking deck nearby. This place is awesome and I will definitely come back.

Street parking right out in front. We're from out of town and wish we loved closer because there seemed to be a lot of cool events that happen all the time. Some examples include Paint Your Pint Glass and Book Club. They don't have flights but they do provide half pours and let us do some tasters. My husband and I tried the Bleu moon with an orange and the Spaghetti About it which is a beer cocktail. They also have plenty of non alcoholic options and also other options such as wine and seltzers and cocktails. They had some chips up front but didn't see any other food options. I absolutely love how dog friendly this was. They have water, dog treats and dog toys for them. Dogs are allowed inside which was great. We liked the beer and beer cocktail we selected. At first my beer seemed to have a sour note but it ended up being pretty easy to drink and quite refreshing. The spaghetti about it was kind of like a beer aperol Spritz. Definitely recommend coming here, plenty of seating inside and there are board games and some seating outside with some board games!

After the food rodeo we wondered over here. I loved the atmosphere-great murals! I can't say that I was impressed with the bartenders, they were not very attentive. I gave a nonalcoholic beverage a try and it tasted alright but thought it was pretty pricey to be totally honest. I love that they have local artwork/craft vendors selling their stuff! I bought a candle and it smells amazing.

My new favorite brewery! This place is SO Good. I ordered one sour and one Gose and they were fabulous-- so much flavor. The place is open and light. It's located on the corner, has lots of windows and a nice outside area. Great newcomer to the Durham beer scene -- first location is in Asheville.

We stopped in literally during their soft opening on a Friday. We had read good things about their beers and heard they are famous for sours and stouts, even though it seemed the only had two stouts on tap that night. We recognized one of the bartenders from another establishment, got two beers, and drank them in their outdoor patio area. The vibe is fresh and funky, with neon alien and monster themes. Definitely going for a hip vibe. Durham has lots of breweries with different offerings and vibes, so it's good to have options. We might be by next time we're in the area, but we actually prefer a little more relaxed and chill vibe.

So wrong. This place is the absolute worst. It's so unfortunate because the place is beautiful and has potential. I've learned my lesson and there will not be a third time. We attempted to sit at a table for 8 but the chairs are oversized and the tables are far too close together. We had to remove two chairs to even attempt to slide across the chairs because you cannot pull them out to sit down. It's extremely difficult and uncomfortable to have to slide all the way out to let people in and out. Not user friendly at all. I wanted to order a beer but just like last time they didn't have any beer I'd ever drink which is saying a lot as I will drink anything that's not an IPA or super yellow. So I ordered the Rosè margarita but the male bartender told me they were out of that drink. Impossible. I could see both rosè and tequila from where I was standing. A female bartender overheard the male bartender lying to me and she said she would make the margarita for me. Hmmmmmmmm. So one honest bartender and one who lies because he only wants to pour beers. Thanks for solidifying that I was right to say I'd never be back to this awful establishment.

Both the cheeseburger and cubano came with hefty servings of French fries fresh out of the fryer. Despite being a little salt heavy, they were flavorful and complimented the sandwiches well. The cubano and burger were both 3/5 for me but I enjoyed both. I'm not a huge meat fan... My boyfriend said they were excellent though! The fried artichoke salad is where I feel like I found my peace. The olives, tomatoes, salad dressing, and all other salad components were awesome. It tasted fresh and the ingredients complimented each other. The fried artichokes were a nice crunch too! I would be back to the Federal for the hot food and good vibes. Service was excellent here as well.

I had high hopes, but there is reason why fries made from fresh potatoes aren't widely offered at restaurants and it's mostly bc they have so much water content and easily come out soggy. And these came out exactly that way - soggy and limp. The chicken sandwich I ordered was a special, limited time offering, and it was also ok. It was advertised as having a slaw on top and that's a strong word for what was served. When I think slaw, I think robust, crunchy veggies with some vinegar bite and while I got a bit of that, it wasn't enough to balance out the fried, savoriness of the breaded chicken patty and bbq sauce. Service was friendly, but I wouldn't say they went above and beyond. I was eating alone at the bar, and I'm usually accustomed to more touch points than I got here, but it wasn't bad. I they checked in more, I may have felt more comfortable bringing up my dissatisfaction with the fries. Beer selection (on tap) was only ok. Definitely a personal preference but I wouldn't say say they had a wide variety of beer styles to select from - at least while I was there. Giving two stars bc I won't come back here on purpose - especially by myself.
