    Flight of six 4oz pours

This place is awesome! I've been to their other location before, but first time here. I chose a flight and it was quite a bit of beer. Almost every beer I tried, I really liked! There were a couple I wasn't crazy about, but they have so many options that it's pretty much guaranteed you'll find something you like. I took my flight outside and sat at a long table overlooking the shops and area below. It was a great day, nice breeze was blowing, and I just enjoyed getting some fresh with delicious beers. Definitely recommend stopping by!

We visited a few breweries on our trip to North Carolina and this one had to be our favorite. They had a great beer selection, friendly staff, and we just loved the vibes of the places. All of the tables had been painted by artists and it was just a really fun setting. It's on a second floor and is located right by a few different restaurants so that worked perfect for us as we just came right upstairs after having dinner. Gizmo Brew Works will for sure be on our list to come back to when we visit again!

Gizmo has their third location in Durham. It's in a neat spot with a good mix of indoor and outdoor seating. The beer and game selections were good. You can also buy games and merchandise. If you are in the area, it's definitely worth checking it out. Cheers!

Lots of local beers on tap! Gizmo offers both an indoor space as well as a spacious balcony. The balcony is perfect for those summer evenings when you're looking to unwind and watch the sunset with a bev. There are also activities offered almost on a daily basis (music bingo, trivia, crafternoons, DJ nights), and they also have board games and puzzles! Attached is a quick snapshot of an adorable little plant puzzle I completed (on my own) at Gizmo.

I'm so excited Gizmo has a location in Durham now! It's also in a great area with other local businesses and there's a parking lot! I tried the following beers: Hibiscus Lavender Ginger Beer, Renaissance Man (a pumpkin coffee ale) and a Black Stiletto Stout. They were all delicious! I also enjoyed the live music outside but wish it wasn't so loud because it was very difficult to hold conversations with people.

Pretty cool and chill place to hang out and drink some brews in South Durham. They are fairly new and pretty hidden but are located above BB's chicken in the University Hill area. You can sit outside or inside and I had a few of their "Dad Jokes" Pilsner which went down easily on a sultry Summer evening. On the outside porch area there is a nice view of the Durham "pickle" building (see pict). There are also QR codes on the tables where you can order some chicken sandwiches at BB's below and have it ready when you are finished downing a few brews!

After dinner at BBs my fiancé and I headed to Gizmos for a few beers. New places I always have to do a flight so I can get an idea of what beers a brewery has. Service was great and loved the seating. Being on a patio with the sun setting was top tier. Flight holder is so cute with the cog! We tried 6 different beers which gave us a good variety. Service was great and fast. Beers were good. Loved the new releases they had this month. Scovilliaus Maximus was delicious. Hoping that more Fall beers come soon, bc Oktoberfest wasn't a fave of mine. Still will come back to see what else is new.

We have many breweries closer to home but we drive 30 minutes out of our way for the pizza. I always tip them well even though they don't serve you. I've been to the Raleigh location as well, check out the review if you want to know more. Panysaurus over all is a cool place (either location) but they have drastically different vibes - which in my book is a good thing. The Durham location brings you an awesome patio scene! The bar itself is a bit small but their indoor/outdoor approach makes it seem huge. The patio is two floors, both covered, one just off the bar and the other right about that which has a few TVs for those interested. Off of the patio is a nice size "beer garden" sitting area complete with picnic tables and a great view. If you are looking for chill family friendly patio vibes this is the place to be! I really love Ponysaurus beer, their pilsner is nice but their kolsch is my favorite. If you've been to the Raleigh location, the Durham menus is not the same. Yes they have pizza but it doesn't seem to have the same options - still good though. We went with a hankering for the hummus we got at the Raleigh location, again the Durham location had hummus but a different variation. One thing that's consistent with both locations is the amount of pita that came with the hummus, there is nothing worse than getting a huge bowl of hummus and only a few pieces of hummus or chips. Both locations knocked it out of the park. Plenty of WARM pita for everyone. This location is somewhat self-service, the bartender obviously poured out beer and there is a cute window for picking up snacks but no table service.

So wrong. This place is the absolute worst. It's so unfortunate because the place is beautiful and has potential. I've learned my lesson and there will not be a third time. We attempted to sit at a table for 8 but the chairs are oversized and the tables are far too close together. We had to remove two chairs to even attempt to slide across the chairs because you cannot pull them out to sit down. It's extremely difficult and uncomfortable to have to slide all the way out to let people in and out. Not user friendly at all. I wanted to order a beer but just like last time they didn't have any beer I'd ever drink which is saying a lot as I will drink anything that's not an IPA or super yellow. So I ordered the Rosè margarita but the male bartender told me they were out of that drink. Impossible. I could see both rosè and tequila from where I was standing. A female bartender overheard the male bartender lying to me and she said she would make the margarita for me. Hmmmmmmmm. So one honest bartender and one who lies because he only wants to pour beers. Thanks for solidifying that I was right to say I'd never be back to this awful establishment.

I was hoping I would not be disappointed. Downtown Durham on Parrish Street I do believe. I went there midday and there was a sparse lunch crowd already seated when I arrived. The warmly lit space presents nice aesthetic as you walk into the restaurant. A very chill and comfortable atmosphere. I love the bar and the mirrored wall nestled behind it. The spot is pretty laidback and very clean, but has a bit of a rustic nuance to it as well. I like that. The serving staff were extremely nice and helpful towards advising me in making my selection -- with me being a first-timer and all. I kept it simple...I chose the Classic Burger (pink) with pepper jack cheese, bacon marmalade, and as a side, I had to go with the Dirty Fries -- 'cause that's how I roll y'all. About the food: I have to say, the burger was staunchly built and crafted with artistry. Nice and tall with a seriously tasty bun encapsulating everything. Perfectly well-seasoned meat and the first bite was simply delightful. I noticed as I got towards the center of the meat, it was bit less juicy than the surrounding parts of the burger, but nevertheless still tasty. My Dirty Fries were delicious In the end; the experience as a whole was quite delightful and I would definitely like to go there again -- perhaps try a different burger to expand upon my experience with this place. Even before me an my party entered we could hear music playing from the building, which kept the vibes up! Moving onto the food, a certain menu item caught my eye. Something that I'm legally obligated to keep quiet about... but let tell you- this burger was Gooood. This "Signature Secret Burger" was rather unique, as it was like you took a pretty simple egg burger, and just ramped it up. My initial thought when I first tried it was that it was a burger squared, the mystery ingredients amplified the flavor to make such a savory meal. It wasn't to overbearing like many other burger places that I've visited, not immediately making me feel fat and full after taking a few bites. Our party also ordered a whole quart of fries, and they were SO GOOD!!! I'm a sucker for good fries, and you knocked this out of the park! Your fry soft was nice and mellow and complimented the fries perfectly. (And even afterwards, the fries warmed up really well and were still Really freakin' good!) Finally, during my visit, their anniversary event (Happy 15th By The Way ) and they were offering FREE DESSERT for someone who happened to sit in a randomly chosen seat. And by the luck of the gods my little brother found his way onto the seat! It was just really awesome to see a restaurant doing such awesome things for their birthday, y'don't see that every day! Overall, this place is definitely a place to stop by if you're in Durham. If you're in the area visit IMMEDIATELY if you love good fun food!
