Not sure about the service as I only saw one person working running around the store and then one person working the counters. The place was very organized but there were so many sandals that it seems that was what the store consisted of mostly. Not sure if I'd go back but I hadn't been to a dsw in over 5 or more years so it was nice to go in and take a look. read more

My wife requested we stop into DSW after our lunch in Altamonte Springs to look for a pair of Wedge Sandals. Obviously, I obliged, yet I did not intend on purchasing anything for myself. However, this sweet-looking pair of ankle-high cap-toe-boots caught my eye while wandering the isles. I used to have a set of Wolverines that looked like these and wore them until the soles literally fell off (Loved those boots!). These new boots (Crown Vintage) are not designed for the weakly beating they will receive at work, but they look badass and fulfill the going-out/dressing-up with the wife slot quite well. Online, these boots cost anywhere from $49.99 to $135.00. DSW discounted them to $42.30 when we combined the purchase with her new Wedge Sandals and a pack of Timberland Socks. Todays Deals: - Wedge Sandals discounted from $59.98 to $35.99 - Timberland Socks discounted from $14.99 to $12.68 - Fancy new Cap-toe boot discounted from $49.99 to $42.30 - Total cost = $97.34 - Total Savings = $33.99 DSW has a good variety of shoes at a relatively low cost. I was surprised to see discounts throughout the store as low as 60%. I think that I will check back here more often to see what DSW has to offer. My one year old daughter is growing so fast and her little feet needed some new shoes. I decided to order a pair of sandals and sneakers online in the hopes that they would arrive soon. The website clearly stated that online orders were taking longer than normal due to this COVID-19 pandemic prior to the purchase, but I decided to order them anyway. I ordered the shoes Monday afternoon and they arrived to my door in 24hrs with no rushed delivery fee or anything. I actually got free shipping based on how much I spent on my order so I was thrilled to come home to her new shoes. What topped off this whole shoe shopping experience though was the hand written thank you note in the package. I have never seen a big business/company do that with any purchase I've made. They also had a variety of sizes for their regular priced shoes. You can find just about any style of shoe that you need for women, men, and youth. They also have all types of accessories. I came to this place looking for some flats since I recently had surgery and I'm unable to wear heels to work... I understand "designer" is in the title, but $60 for flats is ridiculous. Their 'clearance' section was priced maybe $5 cheaper. I received zero help while I shopped (even though I was using a cane), & the store was empty. I've bought so many shoes here over the past decade that I can't even count. This location is always clean and organized and has a plentiful clearance section - which is nice. My all time favorite shoe store. I typically shop online so I can filter by size, type and color. The shoes arrive, I try them on, and I return the ones that don't fit. As a member of DSW rewards, my returns are free! I can take them to the nearest fedex store or I can bring them back to the store. I've never had a problem returning the shoes that don't fit. They return them all and never complain. And the money back is always correct. One thing DSW is doing that I love- they are accepting lightly used shoes for donation. If you bring back shoes, they credit your account with DSW orders. So that pair of cute heels that gave you blisters can be brought back and donated to someone else and you get some DSW bucks! No more throwing them away to waste. My go to is always the clearance racks first. A lot of great finds back there. And not just the shoes! They also have leggings and purses and other accessories that make it to clearance racks. I have no need for another shoe store. This place has it all. In addition to shoes, I have purchased glittery purses for weddings etc and they seem to be good quality. I have also purchased their shoe pads, heel guards for grass, and shoe waterproofing spray. If you spend a lot of time looking, have no fear. Bathrooms are available to the public. They also have huge black shopping bags to help you hold all your shoe boxes as you peruse the store. Staff is always friendly. They occasionally have giveaways with purchases. Online is definitely my place to shop, but this store would be my onsite experience. Check them out! read more

DSW is the place I go when I've been procrastinating on shoe shopping (unlike the stereotypical girl, I do NOT enjoy shoe shopping) and I need a new pair of shoes like yesterday. DSW is a large shoe store with shoes varying in style, price and sizes (and they can order additional sizes, etc. if you can't find what you're looking for). For example, you can find Gucci shoes right next to a pair of no-name shoes that probably took $2 to make. They also have a pretty large selection of "Clearance" shoes in the very back. They also carry handbags, jewelry, hats and other accessories. The customer service was lacking tonight as I searched for the "perfect pair" of sparkly shoes for my cousin's wedding and I was walking up and down the aisles and then back down the same aisles. I saw a few employees and only one of them was helping someone find and try on shoes. The others looked like they were trying not to be bothered and were sorting shoes, looking like this was the worst job in the world. I did find my sparkly shoes (I'll probably twist an ankle walking in them, so stay tuned for a review on a podiatrist!), but no thanks to any employees. The cashier was nice enough - cracking a half smile as she asked if I found every okay - but not I didn't get the warm fuzzy vibes for her. All in all, a successful trip and DSW will still be my go-to-last-minute-shoe-shopping store. read more

This was my very first time to DSW. I was nervous about finding a pair of shoes as I have very wide feet and wear size 11 in WOMEN. I must admit the options were a bit limited because of my foot size. However one of the staff members went above and beyond to help me find my cinderella shoes for my upcoming Christmas party. This employee helped me search the store for a pair of heels that would fit my feet. It took a little bit of effort but we were able to find the perfect pair of heels. The store seemed to have a very nice variety of shoes at a great price for the quality. I would highly suggest coming here if you are looking for a special pair of shoes. I will never shop here again. They send me a $30 gift card in the mail. So I go there and pick out a pair of shoes. I go to the cashier and hand them the shoes and gift card. The cashier said the shoes I had were on the list of shoes you could not use the discount for. So I asked what shoes could I buy at the discount. He handed me a list that was 3 or 4 columns. 4 Stars for a big chain store with a great layout and friendly service. I am not a big shoe or purse shopper (mostly because I like to find something I like and stick with that shoe/purse for years) (and, in cheap) but my upcoming wedding means I was a woman on a mission. The layout of the shop is really easy and intuitive. Similar to other DSWs, this one is giant! Heels on one side, then flats, then boots, sandals, men's shoes, etc. the back is dedicated to sale shoes organized by size rather than by style. The store isn't just about shoes though- towards the front you'll also find purses, more types of socks then you knew existed, and similar items. Nothing feels cramped though. Checkout was simple and Cathy, at the register, was surprisingly personable and friendly. We chatted while she checked to make sure I didn't leave with two left shoes and I found myself smiling as I walked out- and not just because I left with some killer shoes! I know a lot of my friends are shopping for shoes almost exclusively online, but I just can't get past not being able to feel them on before I buy shoes. And given the size and amount of inventory- I know that if I'm looking for something particular, it is likely this DSW will have it! read more

Each and every time I step foot in this location, I find a shoe I can NOT leave without. I love DSW overall but out of all the ones I have been to, this is by far my favorite, even from the ones in PA/NJ. One this I was annoyed with about the FL stores last year was they had a very small selection of boots. I know it's FL but that doesn't mean we don't like to be fashionable. Well they figured that out and this year they extended their boot collection in the DSWs in FL. This location has 3 1/2 rows of awesome boots! Black, Brown, Grey...Tall, Small, Sexy...they have a great variety. The store was packed but the employees were so helpful. One lady walked around and actually picked out shoes she thought I might like in my size and I didn't even ask her. We talked for about 5 min though so I guess she sensed I was looking for a lot of boots and didn't think she would be overwhelming...which she wasn't, I appreciated it greatly. I walked away with 2 pairs this time around...left 3 pairs on the counter because I talked myself into feeling guilty if I walked out with 5 pairs at one time!!! This dsw is smaller than most I have been to but it still has a large selection. The store was very clean and organized. I went there looking for a pair of new slide sneakers and found seven pairs to try on. The Choice was tough but I ended up with one great color that I was hoping for. When over by the Altamonte Mall, my favorite place to indulge myself in a mindless shopping spree is the DSW Shoe Warehouse. Luckily for my bank account, I wear a size 11. A shoe size which is not always plentiful at DSW. Here I tend to shop by numbers on the box rather than style. If they have a size 11, then I check out the style of the shoe. Otherwise it's a lot of initial excitement as I discover a gorgeous gem of a shoe only to be disappointed when there are only dainty sizes. Aside from their lack of size 11's, DSW has a very extensive selection of shoes. Plus, the entire back section of the store is clearance shoes. Always where I go first. The prices on clearance and non-clearance shoes are moderate. While they aren't as cheap as Payless they boast better quality and a cheaper price than department stores. Another perk - the employees are very friendly too. Definitely check them out if you like to adorn your feet with quality shoes at prices that won't drain your bank account. read more

DSW is a big box (nationwide) shoe retailer, located in the Renaissance Center in Altamonte Springs, near the Altamonte Mall. This is a nice, big, spacious location no matter what other state you've shopped at a DSW. Staff is friendly and they always have a good selection of seasonal shoes, special occasion shoes and just about anything a gal could look for. On that note, there is a men's section, but the ladies shoes dominate the store, which is as it should be. ;) I'm used to seeing a nice range of sizes for each shoe, when the sizes get limited they get moved to the clearance section, where some good deals can be found. At the front of the store there is a special section of random accessories, from gift items to purses and other things based on the season. Join up for their DSW rewards and get special coupons when you earn points, sometimes randomly and usually on your birthday. read more

This store is great! They always seem to be having some type of discount or clearance running everytime. The store is set up with men on one side and woman and handbags on the same side. By the registers there are socks, pads, pantyhose and sprays for your shoes and sneakers. In the back of the store is the clearance items including clearance hand bags. Honesty the men's side looks good but I can't say I go on the side a lot. The store is set up in rows that is easy to navigate. The variety of sizes and selection is awesome. There is great deals in the clearance handbag section. And that is just one of the many bargains from that section. Being a rewards customer had its perks also. After become a member several times a year (birthday,anniversary, christmas) they send you a certificate for 10.00. Also, certain times of the year when purchasing items they reward double points. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, willing to go beyond. Great customer service. Where can you find a huge variety of shoes that is well-organized, customer friendly and reasonably priced? DSW!! The shoes are in one big, stark white room with little to distract you from the task at hand: shoe shopping. I love the way the shoes are organized- it makes it sooo easy to shop. One shoe is prominently displayed, like the style and below you'll find neat stacks of that shoe boxes in various styles. No getting an employee to "Check in back", this is just genius! It makes shopping quick and convenient. It's also very dangerous because you'll be able to discover a lot of cute shoes in very little time. I love that they carry name brand shoes too. This isn't as large as the DSW in Millenia, but fits in very well if you are shopping in the Altamonte area. As DSW locations go, this is my go-to location since I live on this side of town and with my size 7.5/8 shoe size, I rarely struggle to find a shoe here. The variety is great and what you would (and should) expect from any store in Florida (boots in florida? Only in winter time...) The employees here are very helpful and it's rarely understaffed. Parking however (which isn't this stores fault) is a bit ridiculous since drivers tend to not "pay attention" to pedestrians here, so be warned to keep your head up and watch cars zipping around or pulling out. read more

The first time I went to DSW was not in Florida, it was in Chicago. I remember going down into their huge basement store and feeling so overwhelmed by shoe magic. (I even Yelped about it.) And now that I've found my favorite DSW store here in Florida, I am smitten and it's time to confess. For the past two years, I always go here for shoes. (Although there are a few other places I still need to check out. But they are so far away from my house!) Well, anyway... DSW really holds a special place in my sole. It doesn't matter what day you go into DSW, you will find a shoe that you really, really want. Once I went on a Sunday and I guess they just received shipments. Well, I was completely confused on what to do with myself. They had 9s and 9 1/2s everywhere. I could have went crazy. (Sometimes these sizes are missing from the cutest of selections. But on that day, I was queen with any pick of the flippers.) When not going crazy, you're able to go into DSW for a quiet, mini shoe-retreat. The building is so spacious - you're almost never in anyone's way. You can browse and try shoes to your heart's content. It's even relaxing. Zen shoe hour can be yours. I've found that when I go with someone else, the staff are more prone to asking you questions and actually picking out shoes for you. But if you're by yourself, they usually let you do your thing. read more

I think I like this location better than the one at Millenia Mall but maybe that's because I don't go to this one as often because it's much further....scarcity value. Take your pick.
