I placed an order online and had it shipped to store. Very easy, efficient, and quick. I walked in, gave my name and voila, they handed me my package. I ended up wanting to peruse to see if they had a pair of loafers I'd spotted online that I wanted to try on. I like how they have the shoes separated by brand but after searching and searching I could not find the loafers I was looking for. I'm sure it's difficult to stock shoes that everyone will like and it's so simple to shop their online store so I won't hold that against them. I love their rewards program and it definitely comes in handy when purchasing shoes because sometimes they can get pricey. Overall this is a place that I come to first when school shopping for my kids or if I'm needing a pair of shoes for an event or just to compliment an outfit. I love this store! I always am able to find comfortable shoes with great options. My only complaint is i wish they'd offer more wide width for both women and men. That's my reason for 4 stars instead of 5. But one of my favorite things about DSW is that they have points and rewards when you sign up! Drop off a pair of old shoes to donate or get recycled and guess what?! They give you a $5 reward for your next purchase. For the month of August, you get $10!!!! Isn't that amazing?!! We were here tonight so my hubby could get shoes for our daughter's wedding. It took awhile and they were busy, so we were waiting patiently in line. There were 6 people ahead of us who all needed to special order. When we finally got to the front, the cashier drifted about visiting with other workers. No eye contact, no word to us at all. Then she just walked into the back area. Leaving my husband with no one to check him out. Needless to say, he put the shoes on the counter and we left. It was a solid, no effort to anyone else- sale. Not now! My husband won't be going back & I can't imagine putting myself through that again. The worst service we've ever received. Large, clean store, OK selection but we left unexpectedly empty handed.. even my hubby who is a shoe-holic stated that Nordstrom Rack had better deals and a better selection overall. I found it to be pricey as well. Even the clearance section seemed to have the original price marked way up (ex Havianas flip flops listed as $28 to begin with and then taking 30% off that is NOT a deal. Most Havianas at the Rack are under $13) Many on clearance also seemed way out of date, out of style. If you need a certain type of shoe and are willing to pay mucho $$$, you just may find what you need here. Wait wait wait....I went back and I learned some new things. They still have tons of shoes, the clearance was bigger, and the shoes were still pretty pricey. However, they have a rewards program and an end of season sale. The rewards basic is free and easy to sign up. You get points for every dollar you spend at the store. At $150, you get $10 off. I am feeling a little more tempted to come back. Plus I actually bought adorable wedges there today, so I'm extra excited about it. DSW stands for Designer Shoe Warehouse and that's exactly what it is. A warehouse full of designer shoes. And by designer they mean and brand pretty much lol. They do have some "designer" brands but there were definitely more brands that I didn't recognize than those I did. I liked that the shoes were very well organized and they had many sizes available of most shoes the had out. You really need to give yourself a lot of time because there are rows and rows of shoes. They have all of the clearance shoes in racks at the back of the store and those are laid out by size, not necessarily by shoe lie the rest of the store. I also liked that they have some accessories laid out throughout the store including hats, scarves, and socks. The discounts on the shoes are not the steepest for the most part (well, not on the shoes I saw at least) but some pairs were very good dead so you really have to take your time and look. If you need a pair of shoes, definitely give this place a try! Especially their clearance section which has steeper discounts determined by a colored sticker placed on the price. Overall, it was clean, organized, friends customer service, and so-so discounts. 4/5. read more

Let me start by saying I am a HUGE fan of the DSW app. Top notch customer service. In store? Not so much. And this isn't a pandemic issue. This is about how you deal with people... I worked in retail for a long time. I know the drill. When someone brings in a return that you don't want to take you stall, ask a bunch of questions, I get it. But here's the deal. I wore the shoes and they broke. The right shoe wouldn't stay on my foot. So returning them seemed like the right thing to do. I exchanged them. I wasn't asking for cash and I certainly wasn't rude or a bitch. Sadly, you, young retail clerk, decided to try and make me feel like a criminal or whiskey tango or whatever your fancy little brain told you needed to happen. Subsequently, I will NEVER come in this store again. If you make commission, it sucks to be you because in THREE MONTHS last year I spent more money than you made in an entire year. Damn shame. This store does have a good selection, but every time I've gone in they've never acknowledged me, greeted me, or offered to help. One worker walked past me and did not utter a word. Customer service goes a long way for me and this place falls short. I've even heard them greet customers who entered after me. Not going to waste any money at this place. read more

I came to write this review because I'm hoping someone from Corporate will see this and add air fresheners, or add wipes that people have to wipe their feet off with before trying on shoes. I like the shoes there....but the place smells BAD. It smells like an NFL player's used sock. The whole place just reeks of feet. I couldn't stay in there for more than 2 minutes before leaving. I know it's not the store's fault their customers don't wash their feet, but they need to figure out how to make that place less stinky. read more

As the official Duchess of DSW, and a Yelp Elite member, it is my duty, no, honor, to review DSW tonight. I have been shopping here since they opened about a year ago. I am a bargain shopper. I shop cheap: think clearance, sale, 70-80-90% off, thrift store, coupon stacking, etc. With that being said, why would I be at a designer shoe store? Well, that's because it's a gorgeous, brand new store in a clean, new shopping mall. It's massive and is literally wall to wall shoes with a few sections of accessories like purses, socks, and other trinkets. Yes, they have full-priced designer shoes in every color under the rainbow, but for me, the clearance and customer service bring me back time and time again. If you're a sale savvy shopper like me, you will LOVE their selection of clearance shoes at the back of the store. They have each box marked down on a colored sticker which corresponds to an ADDITIONAL percentage off that price. What?! I've left with hundreds of dollars in shoe-y goodness for $30-$90. They also have a rewards program that I can't say I follow too closely--all I know is I get an occasional email letting me know I have $10 off from my rewards. Finally, their customer service is TOP NOTCH. I'm always greeted either directly at the door or as I'm walking around shopping. The workers are always (and I mean always) ready to assist without being pushy. This attitude and culture makes this shopping experience far superior. DSW is one of those stores you need to avoid when your with your significant other. My lady could easily walk thru each aisle of this huge store and walk away with a dozen pairs of shoes. The staff are always really friendly and helpful. A bit disappointed lately in the men's selection of shoes. I have come here and bought multiple pairs of shoes, but I haven't seen anything lately that catches my attention. Maybe my taste buds for shoes is changing with age. The cool thing about DSW is if you sign up for their mailing list, they email or mail you coupons every couple of months. I have to say I really really like this store, as you can tell by the stars. I came here one day just to have a look since I was already at BevMo. So glad I did, I found one of my new favorite stores. There are LOTS of shoes at good prices, and they have a clearance area that has even more mark downs depending on the color of the stickers attached to the shoes. I always pull my calculator out when I'm in there shopping so I can make sure before I get to the register that I'm getting the best deals for my budget. I have bought 6 or 7 pairs of great shoes for about $65 in the past month. That's not a deal, it's a steal! :-) Plus if you sign up for rewards with them, you will get extra discounts sent to your email; and if you purchase online you can also pick up at the store for free. Besides all these great shoe deals, they do have other items, jewelry, cosmetics, phone accessories etc. You should definitely take a look around. read more

Finally decided to check out DSW. I had heard of it before but never been inside. I guess I expected to see real designer name brands. They weren't the kind of designer names I was expecting or hoped to find. So if you're expecting to see Jimmy Choos or Stuart Weitzmans, this isn't the place to go. The store is huge though and has a very large selection of men's and women's shoes. I like that you don't have to ask a salesperson for a size since the stock is stacked under the shoes. The prices were discounted but probably not as good as you'd find at some other stores or online. The associates all seem like they live there job and are always willing to help you find that perfect shoe. Last time I was there they were sold out of my size in the most adorable bootie I've ever seen but an amazing girl who worked the was able to order it for me on a tablet thing. She said it would take 4-7 business days free shipping and I could return it in the store if it didn't work out for me. It arrived at my door 3 days later and was a perfect fit. The attention and assistance we receive is superior, every single visit! They make us feel appreciated and special. This type of consistency in retail is more rare than a Unicorn! We LOVE visiting this location, and simply perusing the new styles and various shoes available both in store and online. I am never disappointed, and enjoy every shopping venture. It's not only a shoe store, as there are many others items for sale inside (from facial masks and nail polish, to leggings, handbags, and lip balms!).
