Everyone here is beyond impeccable. Best customer service and most professional and well-presented team under any TORRID roof!! Melissa and Ashley are superlative. Their Floor, is most Manager's ceiling. They far exceed my expectations each time I visit the store. Consistency is key in retail. They take it to a whole new level. They make me feel appreciated and valued. They help me select items I never would have considered...and some remain my favorites to this day. I owe them each a HEAP of gratitude. The memories of the enjoyment and shared laughter while shopping with my daughter in this store on countless occasions remains in my heart to this day. That FEELING is priceless. Thank you. . The other management team members named Sara and Barbie are beyond exemplary as well. They've always far exceeded all expectations for customer service. They're patient and professional. I love coming here they alwayz have cute things coming in once or twice a week. Plus if you sign up for their emails they offer coupons and if you have their credit card they alwayz have great discounts. People are complaining about prices but if you really think about it not to many stores out their do. The jeans are worth it i dont remember paying 100.00 bucks for jeans. I love my jeans have about 4 pairs but i wait till the go on sale. The staff is very friendly which is great. Very helpful and knowledgeable of coupons and promotions. read more

I have visited his Torrid four or five times since I moved here for different articles of clothing. The ladies here have been super kind and helpful, taking the time to explain the fit of different jeans to me, which I really appreciated. I found a style of jeans that I really love and have already bought two pairs of them. One pair of my pants, which I purchased for work, ripped at the thighs several months after I bought them. I mentioned it in passing to the lady that was helping me and she very adamantly told me that I need to bring them in so that she could give me a new pair because they stand by the quality of their pants. I did bring them back and she took them and exchanged them, no questions asked. This Torrid has great customer service and I will keep coming here as long as I live in Bakersfield. Love it here. I always feel so beautiful walking out. I know what my size is everytime I go in. The girls are very helpful and offer me anything I could need. And I love the sale wall here! It's the BEST! I will say this...it can be pricey...I have a little saying when it comes to torrid...NEVER. PAY. FULL. PRICE. It can be a rip off at times so I always go straight back to the sale rack which always has buy one get ones or come armed with a coupon. A gal can never save too much money. read more

Bought a pair of pants on clearance and of course tried them on, well I don't know about you but pants fit different after a day of moving around in them. I went back to exchange for the size 12. Come to find out because they were clearance I could not exchange them, so I bought a pair of $40 pants I can't wear, wonderful. The lady just kept saying sorry, I asked her why she didn't tell this policy YESTERDAY. She says "oh it's on your reciet somewhere." seriously? It was printed on the back so tiny you need a damn magnifying glass. All around bull. I'm extremely irritated and will be contacting the company. read more

The customer service at this store has taken a drastic turn for the worst. While I once frequented this store I would now rather drive half an hour to the outlets than put up with the rude and neglectful staff here. The last three times I have gone in a am appalled by how the employees act. They are too busy chatting and talking to each other and other staff members who are apparently just hanging it on their day off. I asked for a fitting room and the employee acting like I was a huge inconvenience. I gave them another chance and went in a week or so ago to pick up an online order and was once again met with sub par service. I'll visit Tejon or shop online and have my clothes shipped before I step foot back in Valley Plaza. read more

This store had a few things going for it: the clothes are very stylish and they fit plus sized girls. The clothes and accessories are WAY overpriced and the quality is terrible. A 100$ pair of jeans will only last a few months tops. An $80 pair of boots will not last though the whole winter. Additionally, Torrid stopped accepting their Insider coupon for their clearance items. That was the only way you could buy clothes worth the quality you are getting. So I will now never shop in Torrid again. Just stick with forever 21 or Lane Bryant. At forever 21 you get the same quality for a much better price, and Lane Bryant you get the same price but much better quality. Torrid should stop exploiting plus size women by selling clothes that do not last for so much money. Shame on them. read more
