Most comfortable for me, Aldo, Guess, Steve Madden, Jessica Simpson and some JLo. But I have small narrow sexy feet! Hahah... even in the winter the boots are sexy! I'm a true believer that women should always wear heels especially sexy heels for their men!!! Men love women in heels! But if you need some sexy heels DSW is my favorite shoe store ever!!!! You can even order online. But had to post where I bought my heels (yes very high) because I'm always stopped and asked where I bought them and get so many compliments. We went here to get my hs daughter silver strap oy sandals for the party part of her brother's bar mitzvah party. They had a lot of choices. She brought the sandals home and I noticed part of the bling was off the shoe - and I looked at the bottom and they did not look like new. She walked around for 5 mins with her dress. I had to bring them back because of the bling falling off. I am happy to say I had no issues on returning. I will be back because they were easy to deal with. And they have a huge selection of shoes, sandals and sneakers and more! read more

I've been here so often that I was surprised there wasn't a previous review posted. When I worked a corporate job years back, women wore suits and high heels. I'm a bit of a shoe lover. And I had super high heels in every color and every style. And then there were the high to medium ones for standing at a trade show booth or working a reception or other event. And all the fancy glittery pairs to go with formal gowns for all the charity events I'd had to attend. As I've gotten older, I have gotten away from those stilettos, but I love a good pair of flats, flip flops or strappy sandals or a pair of boots for country treks and northern trips. Even if a new dress doesn't fit, new shoes can perk up an old outfit. I haven't always had luck finding something I loved here, but this last time was quite successful. That is, I came looking to replace one pair of shoes that were worn out and wound up buying something else entirely. Plus I had an award certificate that was "burning" to be used. And yes, I'll be back... if only to browse and see what is new and what's the latest style. read more

Used to love popping into the DSW at Carle Place on Long Island. They had a great selection of shoes and I rarely left the store without a purchase. Similarly, I had great success when visiting my sister and going to the DSW in Wayne, NJ. So when I walked into the DSW at Westwind Plaza in Boca Raton I was pretty excited thinking about walking out with a pair or two of new shoes. Boca Raton, right. Has to have a good selection. Wrong. What an incredible disappointment. Full transparency in that I haven't been in a DSW in over a year, but I did check the DSW website just to see what brands they may (or may not) still carry. Was very disappointed to see that they no longer had Aqua Italia, but several of my go-to brands were still on the list. .... But not at this store. No Ara, Sofft, Stuart Weitzman. Plenty of what appears to be their house brands, Crown Vintages and Kelly & Katie. Going to hope that it was just poor timing on my part and give this store another try in a couple of months. There are certainly shoes galore, but not the DSW I remember from the past. read more

I have been shopping in the Coconut Creek store for years and I always do well. I do well in this location too, but the two stores are remarkably different in so many ways. The Coconut Creek associates make an effort to help you. If they don't have your size or preferred color in stock, they automatically offer to order the perfect pair for you and have them delivered to the store or your home at no additional cost. The team is sales motivated and they want you to be happy with your purchase. The Boca Raton associates are far and few between. I have never been offered any type of assistance on the floor. The few times I was able to track someone down they didn't offer to help me find what I was looking for. Not once have they offered to order something and have it shipped to me. The lines take forever. Last week they had four cashiers and a small line; there were five people ahead of me waiting for their turn to check out. I waited 28 minutes for my turn. I really don't want to sound snarky, but the cashiers were as slow as turtles. On a positive note the store is nicely organized and they carry a great selection of inventory. If there were at least some associates on the floor to offer assistance and the cashiers moved quicker then this would be a four star review. DSW is located in the Publix shopping center on the SE corner of Glades and 441. read more

DSW opened their first store in 1991 in Dublin Ohio. They have since expanded to 500 stores. I usually shop at the Coconut Creek store but I was in the area shopping at some clothing stores so I decided to try this location. I find that these days I need shoes with better support and which therefor are more expensive. Gone is the day when I could just throw on any flat $10 sandal and be fine. Now it's all about arch support. DSW carries the higher end brands that are known for comfort. On this outing I picked up a pair of Vionic flip flops and a pair of Clarks sandals for work. So far I have been happy with the comfort level of both. I find DSW always has the larger size shoe I need on the shelf. Another great perk is their rewards program. I am always getting coupons from them that make the purchase price more inline with my budget. I am now all about owning less shoes but better quality. While I love the selection not so great is stores lines. The line is always super long and they are too few cashiers working. This is the case at both stores I shop in. I will still shop here though. At DSW cute and comfort don't have to be mutually exclusive. read more

I love the fact that I can find a deal or two whenever I visit this establishment. It's never overcrowded and the aisles are always kept neat... even the clearance section. The staff are nice and never too pushy or annoying. They allow you space to show in peace but are always near whenever you need assistance. I would've given this store a five star but did not because usually when I find an item online I like to go to the store to try on the shoe and see how it looks like in person. So whenever I go to this store to look for the shoes I saw online they either don't carry it in a size 10 or don't have it at all. Bummer. So in lieu of leaving empty handed - because I drove miles just to get a glimpse of the shoe, I am now tasked with finding a shoe to compensate for the drive and gas spent which is not so good. But today I did find a nice item for $37. Check out the pic. It is an open toe wide heel Steve Madden animal print sandal. Perfect for summer and fall. But when you're in south Florida you can wear these babies all year long. Very few staff seen on the floor, not sure how you're supposed to attract someone's attention if you have a question. Staff at register friendly and work fast. First visit for this location and rather liked it. I'm not a shopper, I love shoes though. I had a coupon but I left it home! Home is on the west coast of FL.....I wasn't going back to get it. :( I found a couple of cute pairs, I brought them up to the register and begged that they help me because I live on the west coast and left them sitting right on the table to bring with me and just flat out forgot. No worries - they honored the coupons and everyone was happy! I say the one thing about DSW is that they are the Starbucks of shoe stores. They are all pretty much exactly the same. read more

Have lived in various cities across the country and have always had good luck with DSW for casual shoes. If you want high end dress shoes or authentic mountain climbing shoes, then go to a specialty store. But for ray to day foot wear and a great selection, DSW price and selection can't be beat. read more

I picked out 4 shoes for my daughter at 5p on Tuesday 1/24/23. On my way to the cashier, I tripped and dropped the shoe boxes I was juggling. Two employees were standing close by at the front of the store chatting. I said, "Don't worry ladies; I got it." They didn't budge. Let's say in their defense they missed the incident, when I walked by and told them what happened - maybe a "Sorry we didn't see, how can I help you now?" Nope. Nothing. I love DSW! Everytime I go in here, I always find a few pairs of shoes that I love. Always a great selection!! The only thing that brings the score down is that there is always a long line. They have plenty of people working, but for some reason, the line always goes so very slow. When I went this time, i found a pair of Brooks that I have been watching for the price to go down. It finally did and I grabbed them and made my way to the front to check out with my smile plastered across my face. Then my smile turned into a frown, as I was the tenth person in line. Have to admit though this is a "hit or miss" place but, it's more the times I come out with a purchase than the times I don't. I love this store because it's very organized. If I'm looking for something specific, I know exactly which isle to go to - although usually I just walk the whole store :p Sorry, I can't help it, I mean, I'm a girl and they have tons of shoes there (it's in my genes). Prices... you'll find recognized brand names and some designer shoes for a lot less than they regularly retail for. Ok...so upon entering the store I was so relieved that they hadn't changed the layout of it like the one on S.Dixie Highway by Dadeland Mall. That one legit looks like a Payless and threw me off big time. I was not happy about that, but in this one it was setup how it always is...with the shoes being displayed at eye level. As I started to browse, I noticed that shoes were out of boxes and in disarray in their respective cubby spot and that some shoes were not restocked and had only a few sizes left. Now, perhaps I could have asked a store associate, but I wasn't interested enough in the shoe to ask for my size. Still though, IMO shoes that are running low on the floor should be restocked. Another remark I have is the limited number of flats available. There were so many options for sandals and high heels, but very few flats. In the Dadeland mall one they had many flats. Again, they maybe didn't have enough in stock or that is what the store was specifically given, but I think they should cater to all types of shoe lovers and I love flats and they should have had more. Now, the part that irked me a bit was the lack of efficiency and urgency from the cash register attendants. There were three attendants at the time I was in the line and they were very slow. The guy behind me was making remarks about it and was saying out loud what I was thinking. The girl who took care of me was sweet, but you have to be faster especially if you have a line forming, and if you have four staff members you should utilize all of them ( as a fourth attendant appeared before I left). Maybe one register was offline or not working (again giving the benefit of the doubt), but still having a sense of urgency and being efficient are important aspects of customer service.
