Strike 3 at DSW! I went into this store to exchange shoes but they didn't have anything on hand so the manager ( who seemed to be annoyed that I was doing the exchanges ) assisted to refund me with a gift card and then re-ordered a new pair. The delivery didn't come originally so I had to call the customer service line to check the status. I received my delivery and they sent me a box with two left foot shoes with two different sizes! One size was a size 8 and the other size was a 7 ! I know you may be short staffed but I would add someone to do a quality check before boxing any shoes. Disbelief and upset because this was supposed to be a christmas gift. They sent me another one and as I am writing this review I still have not gotten the replacement. As I was at the register, cashiers Julia and Crystal racially profiled customers as they walked in the door of the store. Crystal would get on her radio and alert other employees to watch the person that just walked in. There was no suspicious behavior or actions, just solely on how they looked. These customers were dressed nicely and said hello back as they were greeted upon entering. To do this is not only uncalled for but in front of a customer is absolutely appalling! This experience was unsettling, unacceptable and extremely disheartening. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. My wife wanted to get 2 pairs of shoes due to the advertisement that said buy 1 pair - get 1 pair 50% off, it did not specify that it was only selected items. Plus when we walked in the lady said the exact same thing " we are running a BOGO 50% special" and not mentioning "selected items". I looked at every line of sneaker they carry to choose 2 pairs and get the 50% off. Nothing was marked as to say, if they are part of the 50% deal or not. We get to the register with 4 pairs of shoes that we spent approx. hour looking for and the girl says you have 1 pair that qualifies. I said where does the sign say that? She could not respond. I was HOT & instead of causing a scene, I canceled 1 pair and paid $400 for the other 3. This is why more people buy things on-line. This was my first visit here in over a year. I got my coupon in the mail for $20 off my $150 purchase. I found super cute Bob's shoes with grumpy cat on them. My sister found brown boots on clearance and was able to use her coupon for five dollars off. The restroom was decent it could use a cleaning. So....I have an obsession with heels and deals. For years I'd always see and hear commercials about DSW and have never been able to go to one. We don't have one in Hawaii where I'm from. But....low and behold we have one in Vegas. It's conveniently located in the Best in the West Shopping Center on the northeast end of the 95/W Lake Mead Blvd. I have made multiple "special trips" on that side of town just to snag some great deals. Shopper's Tip: sign up for DSW rewards and download app. Trust me trust me trust Ba-By you will not be sorry for it taking up space on your phone and in your email inbox. There is a plethora of parking spaces available so you do not have to worry about the headaches of searching for a decent spot. Upon walking in I am always immediately greeted by an associate. Be prepared because walking into a warehouse of heels, shoes, slippers, sandals, etc....it's an overwhelming feeling. My biggest struggle is where to begin, it's a personal struggle because the store is very organized. You are guided by arrows to which direction to go in the aisle due to Covid19 guidelines. You can find some great name brand footwear and purses for a really really great price. I never leave the store empty handed. They also have a great shoe recycling program to give you points towards your rewards account. Save the environment and your bank account. Checking out is a quick breeze too. They make sure they disinfect the area between each and every customer. I think the only semi unpleasant experience I've had was that there was an associate who really didn't seem like they were having a great day. However, as always, I give them the benefit of the doubt because I honestly have my bad days. I think people can sense sour vibes and attitudes. 1000% I highly recommend this DSW and I'll definitely be back. Here's a quick breakdown... The store manager working today at about 6 PM was sarcastically rude to me in response to a question that I asked about a product. And, when we were here the other day, two DSW employees stood there and talked for five minutes while ignoring my daughter who had a purchase question. When she finally asked her question, she also received a rude response. Maybe it was the same manager, who was just rude to me. A customer should not have to wait for five minutes while two employees speak on rhe shoe floor even if they're speaking about business. And I did not deserve the passive aggressive response for my question. Just recently I came across this business and placed an order for 4 pairs of shoes. I was pleased to see they applied a discount amounting to $40 off the original price . Women and shoes. Don't get between us and no one gets hurt. I have self-control issues and shoes are one of those areas. It used to be really bad but now I can shop like a reasonable person instead of a contestant on a game show. That said, I've avoided this store despite hearing great things from friends because of my shopping problems. And apparently that was a good choice, because I've now gone three times in less than two weeks. Their loyalty club is to blame- unless every purchase you buy is from the clearance section, in one visit you'll likely spend over $100 and immediately get loyalty rewards for a discount off your next purchase. Which, if you're me, will make you go right back in again a couple days later. The cycle never ends! So DSW, in a nutshell, rocks. But this location specifically has been consistently clean and well-organized, particularly the clearance section which can get catastrophically messy elsewhere (refer to beginning). The layout is easy to find what you're looking for (or what you're avoiding). Though I have spent longer in line than I'd prefer, there's always someone wandering around to ask about fit, extra sizes, online orders, home shipping, etc. I like several of the brands they carry and love that I can find trendy designer shoes at a reasonable price-per-wear cost. This location is ok. Nothing special. They have a good selection of shoes that are arranged nicely in the store. The store is clean and laid out well. The employees seem to be non existent. Not one employee spoke the entire time I was there. One employee was on her cell phone and never acknowledged me or anyone else. The other employee just stood at the cash register and helped people check out. But never greeted anyone as they walked in. I'm not sure why the management at this location decided that they should close public restrooms but they did. The first time I noticed I thought it was a fluke. However I was there yesterday and all public restrooms are closed. This makes no sense to me as I was looking around and would have stayed longer if I could have used the restroom. I mentioned it to the girl at the register and she just smiled and said yeah we don't have public bathrooms anymore. This is just ridiculous. My mother went with her birthday discount and a mailer discount to this DSW. She bought my sister a sandal and used the $5 birthday discount and another $10 discount from the mailer she received. The sandal was too small so my mom and sister came back the next day to exchange the sandal and keep the discounts for the exchanged item but the manager was very rude and gave her back to my mom and sister. The manager told my mom the coupon can only be used once and if you exchange, you don't get the discount applied to the exchanged item. My mom has been buying from DSW for 20 years and this particular location is very far and my mom still goes to it even though the discounts are mediocre and there's no reason to steal someone's discount and be that rude about it as well. Clearly the manager is untrained and unprofessional, doesn't deserve to have the title manager and shouldn't work there. My mom returned the sandals and had to abandon the discount which was messed up because she waited the whole year to get that discount. read more

DSW customer service sucks. I very recently purchased a pair of men's shoes there. Easy transaction. I used my debt card. A couple days later I had an occasion to return them. Exactly S they left the store. Never worn. The return in & of itself was easy. The problem comes in when the cashier runs my return as a credit not a debit return. After 3 days the money has still not shown upon my bank account. Due to no fault of my own the cashier processed my return incorrectly. When I went back to the store today I explained the situation the the store manager. She did not cooperate all. She would (A) not give my my shoes back or (B) give me a refund. She tells me oh it's going to take 5 to 7 days to process. The experience was terrible. I told her I would never shop there again. She couldn't care less. My recommendation is to never shop there. I'm totally diggin' DSW this season. I've been here like a thousand times and find pretty good deals on most items I buy.... but today was like a holy grail of shoes day. I didn't buy all the wonderful shoes I saw, but I did buy 1 pair of practical flats that I need for my upcoming trip this weekend. The main reason I love DSW is that they always carry my size and they have a great price range. You can literally find a pair of shoes starting in the clearance section from $15 and if you get a DSW membership coupon by mail it's going to get even cheaper. One time I used my coupon on a pair of clearance sandals and got them for $16... you can't beat that deal! As for customer service at the check out the last experienced made me not want to come back to this location. The cashier was extremely rude and unprofessional and seemed to lack the basic people skills as a customer service clerk but I decided I won't let that stop me from shopping here. The girl grudgingly does and says yes we have your order but not all orders are filled in 2 hours. This would have been fine except she just told me all orders for the day were filled. I came to DSW in need of some shoes for a wedding I am attending next week. I drove past the store and noticed that the front of the store had been boarded up. I thought maybe they had closed down, but no they were open. This should have been my first clue maybe I shouldn't shop here alone or at all, but I thought maybe they were remolding. I shopped around tried on some shoes and then went to make my purchases. I noticed my phone was gone. I was with no one and I had no one to help me. I went up to several employees asking if I use there find my iPhone feature so I could locate my phone if someone had it or at least erase it if it was already gone.
