Got there, found everything I wanted. Very satisfied with the service. Always happy with what I purchased.

DSW is a discount shoe warehouse with a few locations in Metro Phoenix. Great bargains can be found here. This is the only shoe store that I need and is the only place that I have been buying shoes and sneakers for several years now. They send me coupons in the mail and I have been added on to their email deep discounts. My last purchase was a $90. pair of sneakers that I liked. The DSW price was $39. Then they took additional discounts and my coupon and my $90. sneakers came down to only $8.64. About a month ago I spotted a $450 pair of Stewart Weitzman's and with my discounts and coupon the $450 shoe came down to around $70 (and they are so comfortable too!) The down side of shopping here is that they offer very few options for men. They also have a children's section and do offer accessories (socks, some purses, other small items) My advise is to only shop here when you have the time to really test the shoes out to make sure that they are comfortable for you. I also did find out that you might have to go up or down a size depending on the shoe brand and some shoes that you really want just will never be comfortable. I LOVE this store! read more

These stores are always so well lit & well stocked. There is always a huge selection but the prices don't always seem super awesome. Then again, sometimes I just want to be cheap. LOL. There are a wide range of brands, styles, & sizes. I gave 4 stars because I couldn't find anyone who worked here. I saw a couple at the cash register but that was it. There was also no greeting when I went into the store but then again, there were only a couple at the cash register & they were busy. I might come back during the week when it's less busy. read more

Absolutely worse customer service, ordered a pair of shoes, sales rep ordered wrong shoes, went in for the right shoes and sales rep returned shoes without asking if I was keeping the pair I had...absolutely no apology, manager was just as rude as if it were my fault sales rep proceeded to rerun item without waiting for my answer. I know there are not that many places to buy shoes in the area, but please go anywhere but here! I bought a pair of shoes and the employee and manager would not make any exceptions in their return policy. Their shoes gave me raging blood blisters and I am a teacher who is on their feet all day. I told them I would never wear the shoes again and asked if there was anything they could do, even store credit or anything else. They were very rude and just kept restating their policy. I understand what the policy is but restating it over and over to the customer is not the right way to go about it. It just frustrates the customer because that's not good. Customer service. Part of why they frustrated me so much was I had returned a pair of shoes a week prior and those were accepted as a return. read more

They have a nice selection of shoes however, the staff is not very friendly they don't smile and no one helped me until I came up to the pickup area. No assistance on the floor. I also spent $150 with two large boxes of shoes and they were so cheap they couldn't even offer me one bag! They said it's only for people with canes. Smh how do you know I'm not disabled or that I have a disability do I have to come back in and show you my handicap sticker? Ridiculous! read more

Defective stitching on shoes and rude employees, including one too busy texting on her cell to notice someone with a question. No wonder this place was a ghost town. Headed to Famous Footwear across the street instead where they had more attentive and pleasant employees and got the same shoes for $5 cheaper with no defects. Won't come back to DSW. read more

I bought some work shoes from this location, unfortunately they hurt my feet and I only wore them for 2 days. I attempted to bring them back and the clerk stated that I could only exchange because I wore them. I understand their policy, BUT they should have a store credit option so I left with my shoes because I had no time to shop. Fast forward a couple weeks later I came in to exchange. Cashier was an unpleasant lady. I walked up to the counter and she harshly tells me "no" while waving her hand at me. I guess I was too quick to place my shoes on the counter before she could disinfect it after the last customer. (My bad ). Anyways she says not one word to me, she looks at my shoes and and immediately calls for a manager. Mgr was vey helpful and provided store credit (new return policy since the last time). I found a new pair of shoes and when I went to purchase they rang up the wrong price. I questioned the price and double checked the display. I felt like I was the biggest inconvenience to the cashier because she appeared to be annoyed. The mgr corrected the price and was extremely helpful. Long story short...DSW return policy was shit but seems like they made changes. Their customer service isn't all that great coming from their cashiers. Managers were helpful. read more

Way behind the times here for sure. I have never been to a DSW before. I know waaaaa??? Handing in woman card now with head slightIy bowed. I needed a new pair of shoes for a formal event. Okay, buying shoes is just a horrid painful experience for me. I would rather bathe in a vat of scorpions then go shoe shopping. It is never easy and apparently that theme continues as I get older. Someone I work with told me to try here for a large selection of styles and sizes. So it is a warehouse, fair warning to be prepared to look around a lot. You have to get what you get in the sizes they have left. However, they do say they can order things for you from their online store and you can pick up in store. They also have a large clearance section. I gave the place four stars because well, they have shoes, a lot of them, and really for the service. The customer service folks I met today were beyond fantastic. They were really helpful, outgoing, friendly, and energetic. I even joined their club and got 20 dollars free to spend next time I need to go to war with my feet. hahahahah! read more

Horrible customer service. Manager was called over by the cashier because I asked very nicely to exchange unworn shoes for another same price. Pretty normal transaction right? A young girl manager walked over, I literally hadn't said a single word and she gave me a dirty look and a bad attitude. Went in today to see what shoes applied for the 30$ off 49$ coupon & the older lady up front just kept pointing to a box of shoes but couldn't even tell me which ones they were. Absolutely no help at all. I had to call customer service to ask. He was so nice and took the time to explain what shoes worked for the promo. Feel like I got ripped off, paid over 100$ for 2 pairs of toddler shoes. Definitely gonna stuck with Amazon, tj maxx, Marshall's and target read more

Had every size but the one needed, asked an associate to check stock which she explained that all sizes were out but would check other local locations placing a pair on hold or would have ordered for me giving me free shipping if purchased. Another location had the size and was placed on hold until closed. read more

I have never been to a DSW before due to the lack of locations for hours by my house. While on vacation my mother in law suggested this store so I figured I'd try. It is a giant open warehouse full of shoes :) I got some decent Nike running shoes in the clearance isle regularly $89 for 40% off. I also snagged some socks for $10 but I should have bought them at old Navy next door for $4 very similar style. My husband was dissapointed with the selection of sizes. The Nordstrom rack across the parking lot has men's shoes sizes up to 15 and he wears a 13. At DSW we asked asked associate and she showed him the 4 pairs of shoes in his size...4! The associate said sorry about the selection and the designers of the shoes do make them in his size and bigger but they just don't sell them. She suggested Nordstrom rack haha. Needless to say he won't be buying shoes at DSW. read more

Lauren the sales associate was the rudest most hostile retail representative I've ever interacted with. She verbally accosted my sister, myself, my mother, and a close friend by yelling at us, following us through the store and she wouldn't leave us alone. We just wanted to buy a pair of shoes, and instead this turned into a nightmare. Spoke with the manager about the interaction and couldn't get our piece out before she tried to pipe up and tell us we were wrong. He was great and handled the situation extremely well, but due to her complete disrespect we will not be shopping there again. She needs a different job where she doesn't work with the public if that's how she treats people. Won't be coming back unfortunately. read more

Worst experience ever! Ashley has the worst attitude and makes it known when she rolls her eyes. I was excited to use my coupons, specially the one for my Birthday. It seemed like she was bothered that I had so many coupons.. I went back to talk to the manager(Alondra) and she had the audacity to approach us while we were in a private conversation to ask if she did something wrong! First of all I don't even want to talk to you after the attitude I was given and second why would you ask that question?? Because you know you had an attitude and didn't care to ruin someone's day! I have been a loyal customer for years. I purchased a pair of shoes that I loved but after I wore them for a few hours they started squeaking so bad they were obviously defective. I took them back to the store with a receipt within 30 days of purchase and they would only give me credit for an in store exchange. I found some shoes I didn't need but purchased them anyway to not lose my money. When I got home I realized they only gave me partial credit. If they can't stand behind their product I would rather take my business elsewhere. read more

I buy a new pair of shoes at least once a month. I like shoes and so does every member of my family. After today, we will never spend another dollar at DSW. I bought a pair of shoes, wore them twice to find out they cut my heals so after 3 weeks I took them in to exchange for a different pair. $89 just got donated because the manager wouldn't even consider exchanging them because they were worn. Zappos, Amazon, Walmart, Target, JCPenney, Journeys, Nordstrom's, Tjmaxx and famous footwear all have very understandable return policies if returned within 30 days...even if worn. I know, I have ran or had peers that ran each of those locations across the US. Even if the store eats $89 for an exchange, they would have made it back from me in spades down the road. Now, my wife, daughter and myself will not be returning to any DSW and I suggest everyone think twice about giving money to a company that cares more about profit then an honest customers need to find a comfortable pair of shoes. DSW does not care about servicing the customer, that was made very clear today. I implore you to consider any other option besides DSW this holiday season. Imagine how that gift might turn into a nightmare if they happen to find out the shoe doesn't meet their needs...but hey, maybe they will get 50 points added to their account for donating the gift to the store. read more

Horrible experience time and time again. I refuse to come back to this location and will drive further out of the way to go to any other location. The manager here is always extremely rude to not only myself but other customers in the store. I've been to the desert ridge location and there customer service is sooo much better!! Don't waste your time here and give your hard earned money somewhere else or better yet just shop online! I've had multiple bad experiences here from solely the manager and unfortunately DSW customer service over the phone is not great with resolving these issues so I will go to another location or to famous footwear to buy shoes from now on it isn't worth being judged or talked down to by someone.
