I tried to time it correctly so the shoes would still be fresh for my race in September, but well broken in. After doing some research and being heavily influenced by social media, I landed on Hokas for my budget, the longevity, and their ubiquity. You will get paired with a salesperson upon arrival no matter what your intent is, so go in expecting that. I had heard good things about the fitting so I did that, got my cute little report, and tried on a bunch of different shoes. The salesperson was great about going and getting different sizes, etc - I just feel uncomfortable with that level of 1:1 attention/eyes on me when making a purchasing decision, so that was more of a con to me than a pro. No room to breathe and make a decision. They were also busy and I felt like an imposition somehow? Vibe was a bit off. ANYWAYS - it would have been more helpful if the salesperson had simply asked what I was looking for and allowed me to peruse before running in the back to get shoes - I could have saved myself some time and left a little less frustrated. They won't have all the colors available, and I knew I wanted plain black and white...which they didn't have in store. It was still good to try stuff on, but I was hoping to get the shoes that day. Luckily I was able to order directly from the Hoka website (free shipping!) and they came within three days. I feel really bad about not being able to make my purchase through the store, but I look forward to continuing to utilize Fleet Feet for all my other running needs as we get closer to race day! I am grateful for the huge number of races they put on each year through their sister company, Yellow Jacket, and appreciate the convenience of bib pickup here for other races I've run in the past.

I was asked if I wanted to round up for JC Penny cares, which I don't know what this is but it sounds like a clever ploy for the company to pay less taxes. I said No Thank you, but she rounded up my price anyway. I was too uncomfortable to say anything so I paid the extra 81 cents. Anyway they have a good belt collection so 5 stars.

The best part is the staff; they are just lovely people who love to chit chat about what kind of work you do. You get a nice discount for working in the hospital too. I wouldn't come anywhere else to purchase scrubs, they have dressing rooms in the back, have additional stock in the back if you are looking for a particular size. I highly recommend this privately owned caring shop. The road at this entrance on Clinton Ave, Rochester has been under repair for months . The road crew has equipment that appears in the way of their entrance. Persevere, it is excessible and youu will leave happy with a bag of wonderful shoes.

I have visited a couple of Athleta stores over the past few weeks. Tonight's visit was impromptu while I was trying to get some exercise by walking around in the mall. I noticed that they had a sale sign out, I'm always in to see what is on clearance or reduced rack. Just as the staff at my local store has proven to be, the staff was friendly and informative. I was able to try some pants on and get suggestions, and I even asked which color looked best and got a solid answer. The store associate that was their knew about all of the new items and also was willing to pull stuff from the back that was on clearance or close out to show me. I will continue to shop at this chain. I am extremely impressed.

I only gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because it is on the more expensive side. I think some of the clothes are a bit overpriced but again the quality is above average, so... I would only go here to buy something that I know I would get a lot of use out of to justify spending the money.
