"UNPLEASANT ENCOUNTER, HUMILIATED AND DISGUSTED" On 12/29/25, I was greeted, welcomed to shopping and even helped to the register with all of my items I was purchasing. It was a great shopping experience and very pleasant. An African American gentleman brought my boxes to the front as I continued shopping. Once I arrived at the register #2 @1800 from the wall(Forgot cashier name) she was the most friendly and pleasant cashier ever. She made me want to purchase the whole store. I literally purchased 7 pairs of shoes. I was all excited and trying to figure out how I can purchase more. On 1/6/26 @ 5:38pm Register 3 from the wall I choose not to mention her name was one of the most degrading, humiliating and unfortunate experiences I have ever encountered at this location. I had a receipt and original box and bag. I clearly don't even like using the race card but some things are very obvious. I stood in line and there was only one cashier. The next cashier seen the line was long and decided to come and assist her colleague. She asked for next in line. I proceeded to the register placed my bag and box on counter and requested a size 10.5 in a particular shoe. SHe pulled the box out of the bag, use the device and seen there was no size 10.5 in stock. She proceeded to tell me I will give you a refund. I am looking at the device with her and noted the 10.5 in stock online, she never once asked if I wanted her to order online, she never even looked at other locations to see if they had it in stock, her demeanor was unapproachable. I then proceeded to say Can you order the shoe? She begin processes the refund, placed the receipt in my hand and totally ignored my request. I look at receipt in my hand and said " Okay what are the next steps, I requested to order shoe" SHe makes a disgusted sound and says you want me to order it online" I was disgusted myself at this point. I requested a manager. I stepped to the side and allowed her to assist other customers. Mrs Nichelle arrived to the register she provided her side of the story to Mrs Nichelle and then the manager requested for the other cashier to assist me. As I am standing inline I noted the receipt which had placed the refund on gift cards that I disposed of in the store and no longer had. Now I am really frustrated. She never asked me how I wanted the refund. Remember in the beginning I mentioned I requested to order another size so therefore you could have used a DSW gift card, reordered shoe and used that gift card to pay for it. By this point I had to wait on Mrs Nichelle again. I decided to pay for the shoe on my own first. Mrs Nichelle spoke with customer service and they requested I call them and they would directly help me. I was frustrated but I left the store and sat in my car and customer care took care of everything. They provided me with a new gift card, I called the store back and reported everything to Mrs. Nichelle to let her know everything was taken care of. The most hurting part is being treated a certain way when you have done nothing to be treated that way. I work hard to be able to enjoy a shopping experience. Then to make matters worst I am an ELITE member which means I spend money to reach that status nothing was given to me. I will not let this ruin my experience and I would hope the cashier understand how her experience has made me feel as a person. read more

3.3.23 Came in looking for some new shoes for spring/summer. They had tons of shoes but none that I just loved. I have gotten to where I only buy stuff that I just really love. If it's just OK, it stays. I was happy to see a lot of selection in my size. Hopefully next time I will find something amazing. It's a DSW and 3 bit smaller than other locations, but not small enough to justify only having 2 or 3 registers. When I see a long line? I sometimes realize that maybe the items I'm buying aren't a necessity and I leave. There seems to be enough room for extra registers at the front too. Otherwise, there are shoes here and a large amount of sale shelves just like other locations. read more

They are disorganized. I had a pick up order from the store and they hadn't set it aside. Ordered the shoes at 1 pm and it said it would be ready for pick up then. Arrived at 6 pm and the cashier had to physically go to the shoe area to box up the shoes. In addition they had mismatch shoes in boxes. Looked around for a bit and two boxes had size 7s in the box labeled 8 and one size 8 and one size 7 in the same box. To top it off when I left the store and got home I realized that they left the anti theft lock on the shoes. Now I have to go back and take it off. Just a mess today. read more

My coupon was spend 49.00 get 25 off, my son was going to buy me a 100.00 gc in order to get another 25.00 off. Lady checking us out, replies after he asked what he wanted to buy " oh the gc won't be available until TOMORROW who in the HEK gives you a time of when you can spend a gift card to SPEND there in their own damn store so we passed on the gc and just settled on using the ONE 25.00 dollar coupe I had been waiting for a month to use she then rings it a couple of times and says "oh coupon has been used" I said no ma'am it sure has not. She then rings it again and say "oh it's the kind of shoes then" I replied ma'am I read the back the ENTIRE thing on rules because there's always some sketchy rule if you don't read the "fine lines" She proceeds to pull out her DAMN phone and pull up some LONG 3 page rules faces it to ME as if I'm going to sit there and try to READ the rules ON HER DAMN PHONE she wouldn't even try to make any exception or offer anything else in order for my son to purchase my MOTHERS DAY gift would never go there if you're thinking of using any coupon they try to trick you to go inside and give you some bull crap lie!!!!! Will NEVER go back, scamming to go inside and then try to tell you you can't use their stupid coupons most annoying had to some $$ on toll to get to them since there isn't a store near us too!!! They advertise we have your size, not so. Selection is overall good, price the same as online retailers. Staff never offered to help but my intrepid skills kicked in, found sort of what I had seen on someone else and scooted out of the way of serious shoppers. Decent DSW. It usually isn't too busy when I go in, which is nice. The selection doesn't change frequently. But the prices compared to other places seem good. Have been lucky to find a few good items on the clearance rack. It is small like the other review points out but it's clearance... overall, I think it's a good and clean store with decent prices. read more
