We bought a gas range at the Franklin store. Fred who sold us the range was very courteous and helpful. However, we had only headaches from the service department. For starters, the service manager Bobby never returned a phone call despite multiple requests for him to do so. The top of the range was dented; it took three trips to our house to replace the part. There were very long waits between these trips because the part had not come in and even on one occasion the part had not been ordered. Also, the temperature reading of the oven could vary by 30-45 degrees. There were multiple trips by repairmen to our house to try to resolve this. One person told us that the "bake" button was incorrect to use; we should always use "convection baking." The next repairman said that was incorrect information. After three or four more visits, this next repairman used an oven thermometer to check the actual temperature in the oven. He said the selected temperature of 350 was the actual oven temperature even if the reading on the range varied by 30-45 degrees off. We continue to use the oven hoping that he is correct. Each repairman was reluctant to explain the issues at the visit. DT McCall had come highly recommended to us. But we will not use them nor recommend them to anyone. read more

I purchased a new frigidaire range from the location in Lebanon TN in November 2025. In January of 2026 it quit working, I had purchased an extended warranty at time of purchase. I have been waiting for six weeks for the parts to come in. February 23rd I was told that the wrong parts had been ordered and it would be a couple of days for the new parts to come in. Now I am waiting for the service department to give me a time when they can repair my range. When I ask about this I get the answer of " I don't know" I will never purchase anything else from DT McCall in the future read more

When I moved to Lebanon, I wanted to support local businesses. But DT McCalls has been nothing but a problem. I bought a Washer/Dryer and refrigerator from them. It started with the dryer, in that the clothes were not drying properly. I would set the dryer to the cycle recommend-clothes were never dry. They told me to start using the timer which I did. The original problem turned out to be the dryer vent - DT McCalls did not diagnose the problem. Regarding the refrigerator, it makes a noise- I even recorded the noise. Only to be told they could not find the problem based on the noise. From the process of elimination, I found out it is the icemaker, which I have turned off. So basically I paid for a refrigerator that I cannot make ice with. read more

Stopped in for a chair for my father. Very friendly staff. The selection for what I needed was limited to three chairs. Ridiculous prices quoted as suggested retail. Sales floor price was ok but still a bit high for the moderate quality of the chairs. Variety in the store was not extensive in other categories either. read more

I would stay away from these folks. I thought buying from a local family owned store would provide a better customer experience than i would get from a big box store. I was dead wrong. I purchased a microwave for under the counter. It did arrive on time but when the installer, a separate company, came a day later, he told me they sent an open box product and all of the parts needed for installation were missing. I called the store and was treated like this was somehow my fault. They were rude and insolent. They ultimately got me a new in the box product. I didn't buy an open box product and paid full retail. I honestly felt they tried to slip one by me. They seemed more annoyed that i wouldn't accept an open box product with missing parts. Not my kind of store form here on out. read more

I spent $4000 on furniture. The statement said delivery around 12pm. I called and they informed me by 7pm. It is now 7:30. My living room is a disaster. I have not received a call nor any reply to my inquiries. The drivers didn't have the decency to even call to let me know if they were going to be late or couldn't find my home. I am easily found so that is no excuse. i have left messages and I am sure they are closed at this late time. This is totally unacceptable for a business. I paid in cash and did not finance my furniture. I am thinking about e en telling them to give me a full refund and I will furniture elsewhere. This is a poor excuse for a business to treat a customer such as this. I am upset if you can't tell. It takes a lot to get me to complain about a business but this is totally inappropriate for treatment of a customer. read more

I was instructed by Electrolux Warranty Department to contact DT McCalls to diagnose and repair my defective washing machine, so as to get the part and damage done to my home covered by Electrolux. A quite unprofessional person did show up , sat on the floor of my home, in front of the washing machine, as he ran it through two cycles. At that point it was obvious that he was not going to move the machine, so he could access it, to actually run diagnostics tests. I offered to move the machine for him, so he could actually check the machine, but he said there was no need. At that point he said he was done , it was just a fluke issue, and PROBABLY won't happen again. It has only gotten worse. He required that I pay him $ 120.45, but could not produce a receipt. I also ask for a detailed explanation of what he did, which obviously was nothing, to send to Electrolux. His response, I don't have any receipts on me, and I CAN'T write up a diagnosis, they do that back at the office. Total lack of professionalism !! Weeks later, after receiving nothing, I requested a receipt and a copy of the diagnosis report from DT McCalls. Finally did receive a receipt, but no diagnosis report ! They did type up a nice professional looking report, and sent it to Electrolux, thus stating that the machine was actually checked, which obviously did not happen. DT McCalls refused to send me this bogus report for obvious reasons, I had to get a copy from Electrolux. Because of this bogus report, Electrolux says all is good and they are done. OH, and to keep in line with the DT McCalls way of professionalism, after several requests to speak with the owners, they refuse to respond, I did finally reach a service manager, after several calls , and over a weeks time. In an attempt to explain what happened to the service manager, his professional response was," Go back to where you bought it and you have a very good day." We bought a refrigerator from the Lebanon store a couple of years ago. The fan that cools the refrigerator went out, so we called on Aug. 15 for a repair because it is still under warranty. We were told that the first open appointment for a repair was Aug. 26 because they only had one repairman. Given the circumstances of COVID-19, that part was frustrating but understandable. We lived with our fridge items in coolers full of ice while we waited for the repair. The repairman came on Aug. 26. He immediately told us that they didn't have the part we needed in stock. After 11 days of knowing what the problem was (we gave them the error code that said it was a fan issue on Aug. 15), the person shows up to a repair appointment knowing that they don't have a way to repair the appliance. And they had not even ordered the part. So now we are looking at living out of coolers for who knows how long because D.T. McCall didn't plan ahead for a repair they knew about for almost two weeks. The only good thing about the experience had been that everyone has been very nice and apologetic. That doesn't make up for the poor execution of their customer service, however. read more

Hung up on when asked to speak to manager. If you are OK with shopping is a disorganized store, spending thousands of dollars, to be treated like dirt, then here's your place. We chose to buy a Speed Queen Washer from DT McCalls because we like to shop local. After taking delivery of the washer on a Saturday, a pump went bad the following day leaving us with a brand new, $1k plus appliance that didn't work. The subsequent days were filled with excuses, empty promises, failures to return calls and a level of customer service worse than what you'd get at a big box store. Then, we found out they sold us a floor model. They refused to replace the machine or refund our money...we'd had the washer for 24hours. Our headache will end soon enough, the world will move on, but if you need appliances, do not shop at DT McCalls. You will regret it. The service experience was an abject disaster. Things break, machines fail, that's common, but when an entire organization reluctantly and passively avoids making things right, they don't deserve your business. read more

Bought a brand new reclining sofa and love seat. Had problems with the delivery because somehow the delivery people had the wrong number for me, even though it was the correct number written on my invoice. Delivery informed me they had tried to call me multiple times and had even went to my address and "tagged" my door because no one was home. Someone had been home all day waiting for them, and no tag was left on my door. So that part was just a lie. Told me they were going to have to reschedule but after telling them I had to have the sofa and love seat that day because I had already gotten rid of the old one, they ended up coming. While the delivery people were bringing the sofa and love seat inside, they completely broke my front door. Ripped paint off the door and completely bent the trim. My front door will not even close. Called them and told them and they were extremely rude to my husband and I. We were asked to send pictures of what they broke and they would call us right back. We never received a call back. The following day we called the DT Mccall store and explained to them what had happened and they gave us the delivery supervisor's number. He was extremely rude to my husband and kept cutting him off while he was trying to speak. Said someone would definitely be at our house before five o'clock to fix the door. We explained we had appts at five and had to have someone there before then so we would be home. We waited around until 4 pm and called back to ask when they were coming and we were informed no one was coming and wouldn't be able to until the end of next week! We explained the front door not closing was a safety issue and we had to have it fixed right away and were told there was nothing they could do right now. They have no regard for their customers and are extremely rude. We told them they would be getting a call from our landlord and could then take it up with her and we were told that was unnecessary. Needless to say, my front door is STILL not fixed and we are not getting any help at all. Horrible customer service!! read more

Bought a Southern Motion sofa in denim with rivets , beautiful design. Bought the insurance from American Furniture Repair. Within eight months the sofa started ripping at the edge where your knees go and the electrical mechanism would catch when you would try to lift your feet. It got worse and worse and soon the padding at the knees rolled and began breaking down and the denim began to wear thin in the seats and arm rests. By ten months the sofa looks horrible so we called the furniture repair to claim the insurance. American furniture repair first said no they were liable because of some fault of D.T. McCalls so we called D.T. McCall's and they contacted the furniture repair. Next thing I n ow they sent someone out to take photos and evaluate. The guy said yes it was torn up, yes the motor was faulty, yes the material was threadbare. He left and within a week we get a text saying that AFR is not going to cover it because it was caused by USE! "Caused by use". ???? What was I supposed to do stand next to the sofa? I am furious. I will never use D.T. McCalls again and please if you do do not bother wasting your money on the insurance it's a scam. read more

It was my first visit to the Lafayette, TN store. They are much friendlier on the commercial. Seemed to be a bother that I was there to buy something. I knew exactly what I was there to get. Customer service at the beginning is not a strong point at all. Waited for a while to have it loaded. Which I wasn't sure why....any way..... I will not be going back. read more

Unfortunately, what was otherwise a good experience was ruined by an improper water hose connection. A slow leak caused some minor wood damage behind the appliance. When asked to address the damage, they responded with technicalities and did not take responsibility for the mistake. While it is not worth a fight, unfortunately would not recommend. read more

I bought a new Speed Queen washer and dryer and It is missing the lint screen and when you take the clothes out of the dryer it gets lint all over your clothes. I went in and the manager said he would call the manufacturer and call me in the morning. I never received a call and it not the first time he hasn't called be back. The salesman was friendly and the price were comparable with other appliance stores but customer service is lacking. read more

I went to DTs and bought a complete set of kitchen appliances without even telling them I was price shopping they beat the prices of both box stores in town plus I didn't have to buy all the extras ,pig tale for range, ice maker hook up , vent for dryer or pig tale all was included they get 5 stars for pricing and for not sticking it to you for the extras on top you would be foolish to shop anywhere else Thanks DT's read more

We have bought items from D. T. McCall over the years but after this latest issue we will no long be a customer. My husband and I visited the Franklin store to purchase all new appliances for a condo we own. We worked with Dale and told him we wanted the price to include delivery, installation and haul away. We purchased them but when the delivery was made the delivery person said he doesn't install, just delivers. No dishwasher or oven hood was on the truck. We started calling to get this solved but no one seemed to know the issue. One of the delivery supervisors told us that the Franklin store is not really a D.T. McCall but is run by a distant cousin, Ray McCall. We attemped to call Ray or Dale at Franklin but both of them were out. It was suggested we call Alex McCall. We called and left 3 messages with a very rude and snippy receptionist and never received a call back. Our tenants are moving in and we still don't have these applicances. Alex McCall must feel he is too good to talk with customers. I would NOT recommend this retailer. read more

I like to support Local Businesses and thought even though this appliance was carried by Lowes, I would support a local small business. They arrived and disconnected my old refrigerator, put it on the driveway while unwrapping the new one. Then came to show us that instead of a Stainless with Black Trim which was ordered to match my other appliances, they were out of that model so the Owner of the company told them to substitute the Stainless with Light Grey trim. What really ticks me off the most about this is they didn't even have the decency to call me to let me know, they just sprung it on me at delivery where I had no choice but to have it hooked up or my food would spoil (after reading several other reviews this seems to be their method). Then where the freezer and refrigerator doors meet, the freezer door sticks out 1/2" higher than the fridge door. I was told it was the seal and that it should relax in a day or so, well try months later, it's still noticeable and has not relaxed at all. Next time I'll shop big box stores where shockingly the customer service is far superior and the prices are equal. read more

I bought a wall oven from them. The price was fair. The service is bad. First, they told me the installer would call, set up a time for delivery and install. He never called. I called the store and the installer several times, finally they told me he would be there at a certain window of time. He was quite late. Got to my house at 6 p.m. His skills were less than you would expect. I actually had to get my tools and help get the old oven out of the wall. Finally after 1.5 hrs, the install was complete. I noticed 2 small dents on the door and pointed it out to them and they noted it on the bill. He told me not to worry they would send someone to replace the door. They would call me the next day. No call. After several attempts, I finally got the salesman I bought from, Luke. He told me they would change out the door he would set it up, call me back, He never did. After a couple of days, I called and asked to speak to the store manager, Tom, and he told me no, they would not change out the door, instead they would order a new skin for the damaged door and replace it in a few weeks when it came in. They will call me. Well if you guessed no one has called, you would be right. Never DT McCall again. Pay a little more somewhere else, you'll be glad. read more

Let me start out by saying DT Mcall has a good reputation and I have used them in the past with great results. However this time not so much. They had a sale in the newspaper for AC/Heat pumps with 115V, I have 220V on the wall and it is more economically to operate at 220V. I asked if the was available, was told it was by this gentlemen but he would have to call and get a price. Right off the top of his head I was quoted a price of $900 more for the 220V unit. I had made a few call and knew the price was only about $300. From Thursday of one week to Friday of the next I called 6 times trying to get a quote and was told 4 different times about why I hadn't received the quote. Finally I talk with a different person and he talked with the above "Gentlemen" and was told the price he quoted was the price and he didn't think I wonted to spend that much. At know time did he call and tell me what his finale price was. This leads me to believe he never made the call to find out the real cost. If you wont something different that what they have on sale my advise is to go somewhere else. read more
