Recommended to me by a previous customer. Called first to make an appointment. The guy in charge said, "just come on in, I get there at 9:30 am". He didn't show up until 10:00 am. He supposedly diagnosed what was wrong, and told me what he was going to do. Had it smogged, it didn't pass. He told me, "I didn't tell him what needed to be fixed". What kind of mechanic says something like that? The guy in charge then started talking trash. He was cool when I first met him, but then pulled a Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde on me. Fast, professional, and reliable smog check service in Duarte! Tony, the owner, is very friendly and has great energy. I called in to first make sure the shop wasn't too busy. Tony said he can do my smog check immediately and it wouldn't take long at all. From the get-go, he started plugging in the machine to my car and chatted with me and while we were waiting for the results. He also was very transparent and told me a quote right away. He is a dad and has all the great funny stories and tips. He is a all-around great guy and has such a positive, upbeat spirit. Thursday I called and made an appt for a smog check for the following day. Tony said he'd open at 9:30 am so I scheduled a 9:45 appt. On Friday morning I arrived at 9:40. The gentleman in the shop next to him said Tony doesn't open until 10 or 11. I explained I had an appt. He called Tony and got no answer. I waited until 9:50 and called him. He was on the road and asked for another 10-15 mins and apologized for being late. I was going to stay. Then I yelped around and found another location in Arcadia who was open and could take my car right away. I'm currently waiting for the smog test to be completed. I won't be back. read more

Great place to get your car smogged! Tony is friendly, professional, and quick! I usually stop by every two years without appointment and don't have to wait long. He guides you straight into the garage and gets your smog test going right away. He always remembers me because of my Cadillac. Tony was also wearing a mask 100% of the time, which I appreciated. Took my sisters car Saturday with him and mind u my sisters car was never overheating when I took it and was working fine he did a smog check on the vehicle and put a sensor as well after my sister got the car back her vehicle started overheating and her car gave out . I called him to see if he can Atleast reimburse us half the money we paid and he said No he didn't wanna do anything to help my sister. And he was basically just laughing. read more

First time customer and found out Tony and I share the same last name no relationship but I call him cousin anyway. He's very courteous got me out as fast as he can. Because of Covid I rarely use my truck so it did not pass the first test. He assured me after driving ~50 miles that my truck will pass on 2nd test and it did. Called around noon on 9/6 and arrived there approx. 12:15. No one was there. The person in the front shop said "Tony" would be back in 5min. Then two women showed up and one of them said she was Tony's best friend, called him and he said he'd be there very soon. After waiting for almost half an hour, I went home. Before leaving I noted that his shop hours were clearly listed as open at 9am. When I showed up there at 9am, the shop was still closed. I decided to get a car wash just east of there and return afterward. His shop was still closed when I left the carwash at 9:25. Several people at both the car wash and the other shops where Tony is located commented that he frequently doesn't show up till 10 or even 11, or leave for lunch at 1030 and doesn't return till sometimes as late as 2pm.
