Had my smog test and did not pass, offered 30 days retest for free, 30 days was on Sunday and closed, back at day 31 days, said no longer valid and wanted to have another $70 test fee. The real deal! In and out within minutes. Super efficient and quick. Kevin is super friendly and has good vibes all round. My car finally got a smog check notice and I took it to Kevin for only $50!!! I called ahead of time earlier in the day to ask if it was okay to stop by without an appointment and he said of course! I would say it takes no more than 15 minutes for the entire process. I know he can get busy on weekends and some days too so I think he'd appreciate a call for a heads up just in case. Service: Quick (~15-20 mins) and communicative Price: Reasonable price ($60 at the time of writing this) Had a DMV issue that required an updated smog check and notary. Dropped by without an appointment with no wait time at around 1pm on a Monday. Kev was communicative in what he was doing and was sympathetic about my situation. The longest part of the smog check (I felt) was waiting for the certificate to print after sending the info to the DMV (only for the DMV to say they didn't receive it and I had to give them the certificate! Per Kev's advice, I asked for a copy for my records before handing it over). Kev also recommended me to Golden Key Realty to do my notary which was also nearby and super fast. TLDR: Highly recommend. Honest and easy to talk to. Explains thoroughly if there are any issues and gives suggestions if necessary. It's not often you find people who work with cars to be completely honest. Fortunately, Kev is one of the few good ones. I drive a 2015 Honda Accord, and this year requires a smog check for the registration renewal. I had an aftermarket air intake which was auto-failing the check. Not only did Kev explain thoroughly what the issue was, but he also gave me several options for fixing the issue. With his recommendations, I was able to restore the intake system to pass the smog check without spending an arm and a leg, as well as buy a new sticker for my hood from the dealership which I had no idea I even needed. Unfortunately we live in California where it's a pain in the butt when it comes to vehicle maintenance and laws. Fortunately, there's still a few good people out there, like Kev, who are willing to help you out without any hidden agendas. Ps. If you fail the smog check, Kev allows you to come back within a month to re-do it without paying for the test again. read more

Stopped by for a smog check and Kevin immediately started working on my car. My car didn't pass the test and he informed me which car part was the issue and how much the repair should cost. I am so glad he told me how much the repair should cost because I got quotes from a few auto shops and they were 3x the cost of what Kevin told me. Luckily, I found a place that didn't overcharge for the repair and got that done the same day. Next morning, I came back to redo the smog test and it passed! Kevin only charged me for the 1st smog check at a discounted rate and didn't charge me the 2nd time I came back, which was really nice of him because he didn't have to.
