I went in for an oil change at 9:15am this morning. Not only did Yo, Alec and the team at Homer's get me in within the hour, they also found a screw that had stress sheared off from my turbo. Since my car is still under warranty, they advised me to make an appointment with the dealership. Alec wrote everything down for me so I could tell the dealership exactly what they needed to know to get me in and out of there quickly. I brought my car thinking something was wrong with the alternator since the technician from the auto club had told me that my car was having issues and it wasn't the battery. This businesses lot is filled with what appears to be broken down vehicles. It's hard to tell if it's a mechanic or a junkyard. He even keeps a boat hitched to an SUV there that he has to move around and park daily inconveniencing the residents. If you judge a mechanic by how he maintains the property, well enough said. Called to inquire about a vehicle inspection. All over their website they advertise free inspection. The woman on the phone was incredibly rude. She was annoyed that I asked about the free inspection and why they said it was "no cost" inspection on the website if it's a service they do not offer. It is definitely false advertising. When I asked how much it cost to inspect the vehicle she quoted me at $203.00/hour!!!!! JUST TO INSPECT IT. She was so dismissive and annoyed with me I just hung up the phone. read more

Friendly people, but first time visitors should know they have $175 of initial inspection, they then quoted me over $900 for spark plugs, coils, oil change... I took just the oil change, and they brought the inspection fee down to $111, but still total was $175 for the oil change. This was too expensive and I didn't think this place would treat me that way. I'm posting this here because I wish I would have known of the $175 before I went. Thanks. read more

I took my car there, they said I would have to leave it to run test...4 days later, I called them, they said the issue was the turbo and would cost $2000 and they would have to order the part from Kia, so I'd have to wait for the part to arrive...first of all I was annoyed that I hadn't heard from them but okay.... Another 6 days goes by, Im thinking the part was literally coming from China! I drive by the shop, and saw my car still parked across the street!! So I went in and the owner said "we can't fix your car"... "take it to the dealer"..., witch I ended up doing... I was so disappointed in the lack of communication, and plain customer disregard! My car sat at their shop for10 days and I had to reach out for update, they never called me once!! I don't care if they're good mechanics, they're terrible customer service!! read more

I had two cars worked on here, a BMW with a fuel filter and pump issue a few years back and my Kia's control arm etc., recently, I was not disappointed at all with their work and neither will you! This is a great shop to take your car(s) to if you want it done right. Paid close to 3,000 for various things to be worked on but the issue was never resolved. I went to Homer's to get a price to fix my water pump. Jolene at the front desk said I had to leave it there to look at it. She called me and said it's going to cost $2100.00 just to fix a water pump! I was like heck no... then she said if I don't fix it there they are going to charge me $125.00 because they looked at it! I said I told you what was wrong with it why should I have to pay for you to tell me again? They are unfair and way overpriced. I just got my car fixed for $600.00 TO DO THE SAME WORK. Yet another great experience at Homer's. I contacted them to let them know that I needed my brakes done and they got me in the next day. They did a complete car check up as well, and contacted me to let me know the cost of the brakes and also a couple of other recommendations. I had them do all of the work, and it was ready for me by the end of the day. It's so important to me, as a single woman, that I have a trustworthy mechanic, and I do at Homer's. I've been coming to Homer's for over 15 years now. Always a great experience from Yo and everyone there. I took my old truck there for all my oil changes and brakes until I sold her. Now they service my new car and they always do a solid job. Bonus is that they are down the block from some great restaurants and a movie theater if I choose to wait. Last month I took my girlfriend's car as it was making some strange rattling sounds. Yo's son Alec figured out that the main problem was a bad motor mount but also saw that a pulley wheel was cracked! I was on my way to the office when the check engine lite come on for my low tire. I reached out to Yo (owner) to see to see if i could take my car in and he was available. He and his mechanic took their time to look at all of my tires and they were able to solve it and fixed them problem, but before they did they took the time to walk me around my car to show me what the problem was. They were thorough and very friendly too! Once they fixed my low tire they showed their completed work. Great job!!!! read more

Yo really cares about his customers and it shows in his work and especially how he goes out of his way to help and advise to make sure you're vehicles are safe. They are always crazy busy, and yet the most we've waited for an appointment was a week or 2. Yo has even gone above and beyond to help us with a repair on our Sprinter van when Mercedes told us the wrong part. We highly recommend them. Took my car in when my air conditioner was no longer blowing cool air. I was hoping it was just a simple fix and needed a service and some fluid. After inspecting it I got a call from them and I was told it was the compressor. $1200-$1400. I wasn't thrilled but decided to have them fix it. Due to some scheduling I had to pick up my car and drop it back off on a Thursday afternoon. I was told the part was in and my car would be first up on Friday morning. Then I heard nothing from them. They are closed on the weekend so I had to call them Monday. When I did, I was told by them there was another problem. This set off too many red flags. I picked up my car and took it elsewhere. Guess what? Turns out it was just a simple fix. $50 later my air-conditioning is perfect. Don't be scammed by these people. read more

Just a quick update... we had an issue with a Fuel Evap (or whatever it's called) and they were able to get us in before a road trip to get the car repaired. We noticed on our trip that for the first time ever (6 years of owning this car) we were got up to 34mpg. We were thrilled at 30 it kept climbing! Another happy experience at Homer's! read more
