I brought John downstairs to show him what was going on, and where everything had happened and he gave me a very reasonable price if he were have to snake from my laundry room out to the street, UNLESS I had another drain somewhere in my basement. I recalled feeling a dip in one part of my carpet, so we cut a little hole and sure enough, there was the drain. John got to work, chiseling away at the concrete that was around the plug, and got it to open up. Then he had me flush all my toilets, and run my shower to make sure everything looked okay. He was very knowledgeable and very open to helping me in case something like this were to happen again and what to look for. I had a PTAC unit installed to replace the old one that was no longer working properly. The…read moreprevious day Schaal sent their estimator to assess if the old unit was repairable. He determined that it would be expensive to fix the air conditioner function of the unit. I asked him what a new unit would cost. I wish that I would have decided to have the unit repaired instead. I paid $2900 for a PTAC unit that retailed under $1000. So I paid $1800 just to have the old unit taken out and the new one installed into the existing cutout and existing sleeve and grill. Then all they had to do was plug in the new unit into the existing outlet, test and calibrate the unit, and then they were done! I could have purchased the PTAC myself, swapped it with the same model,and saved myself $1800! The technicians that came were polite, courteous and very efficient. I realize that the price was all inclusive. But that is the price that would involve cutting a hole through the wall, installing a sleeve and panel, and putting in an electric plug to power the unit. Unfortunately, I didn't question the price since they don't provide itemized estimates. So I'm just going to have to suck it up. I do have to say that I feel that I was "taken to the cleaner"....

They were middle of the road, but I like their professionalism. I don't even call anyone else for an estimate anymore, I go straight to them. They get you in timely, and do good work. I would give them 5 stars except last time, the guy forgot my appointment. I called the office 15 minutes past, and he apparently forgot to write it down and double booked. Unfortunately, my house was being painted the next day, so I had to get the exterior light changed that day. He made it before I left for work. I let him in, and he let himself out. I won't let one bad apple spoil the bunch for me on this one though. I'll continue to use them on all my projects. Their reasonably priced, and their quotes are always spot on. They're quick too, so you're not paying for extra time!

Korrey requested some pictures and he responded with a typed up, professional quote right away. We booked out close to two months due to social distancing but they were so worth the wait. After 1 coat of primer and two coats of the Sherwin Williams paint of my choosing, they brought me into my kitchen to discuss their work and make sure that I was 100% satisfied.
