I specifically asked the gentleman at the counter how many fresh fish were available and made it clear multiple times that I only wanted fresh fish, as I was traveling back to Atlanta. He assured me he could provide what I needed. However, after he went to the back to gather additional fish, a significant portion of my order, at least 8 pounds out of approximately 20, turned out to be old and previously frozen. This was not visible to me at the time of purchase, as the fish was brought from the back and packaged without transparency. It felt deceptive, especially given that I clearly communicated my expectations and the purpose of my purchase. I have attached photos for reference, which further demonstrate the quality concerns with the fish I received. As shown in the images, the fish have cloudy eyes, which is a well-known indication that the fish is not fresh. This experience left me feeling taken advantage of, and it has completely eliminated any desire to return. Trust is critical when purchasing food, especially fresh seafood, and this situation fell far short of basic standards. I'm giving this business one star due to the lack of honesty and quality control. I strongly encourage others to inspect their purchases carefully before leaving.
