Tried the new local spot. I ordered the fried shrimp platter and the salt and pepper shrimp. So, where shall I start? I called in my order after looking over their menu online, and although there was a language barrier, all went well. She repeated my order, and no alarms here. I came to pick up my food, and the interior was very nice. For it to be a seafood spot, you would never know because I didn't smell the "seafood smell." My order was ready and piping hot, a good sign. The fried shrimp was seasoned ok, and most importantly, the shrimp were large, almost knocking on jumbo. So immensely pleased here. The French fries were hot but tasted terrible. They were greasy and a low-grade French fry - lots of end pieces. But that was ok because I only wanted the shrimp. Next, I tried the salt and pepper shrimp; oh my goodness, the flavor was good, but I almost choked. They fried them with the shells on. Really. Who batters the shrimp and then fries them? Quite disappointed, I called the restaurant to let them know about this because I thought it was an error and she told me, "next time you should tell us to take the shells off." That was not what I was expecting to hear. Who seasons shrimp, batters them, and then fries them? It doesn't make sense to me. With their logic, I should have told them to take the shells off my regular fried shrimp. I'm only posting this comment, so the next person knows. Not sure if I will dine again with them but who knows, I might go back because of convenience.

Sooo TASTY:) A MUST WHEN IN THE AREA! All I can say is WOW! We were going to go to Loves, from recommendation, they were closed and I saw the reviews for this place. I'll still try Loves, but this place is great and the owner is so personable.

This restaurant had good food and good experience. Lots of low country options. Worth the short wait. The server was great.

We ordered Glazed salmon with pilaf rice and garlic broccoli. Also, The Feast which includes fried oysters, shrimp, catfish, fries and coleslaw. Pink lemonade. I didn't taste the garlic but I love broccoli so much that it was still good. The right amount of crunch. Fluffy pilaf rice that was tasty. Like actually good. I enjoyed the glazed salmon, cooked to perfection. There was no complaints at all pertaining to the well seasoned, crispy fried everything lol oysters, shrimp , fries and catfish. Good service and nice place to sea the ships sailing by while enjoying your meal. Nice clean bathroom. I do have a suggestion: inform the patrons ahead of time they may have to go upstairs to dine. You start out with a choice of bread, followed by lettuce, tomato, and French dressing, bacon and cheese. Minus the bacon and cheese of course course the sandwich was actually quite good. You get a very nice piece of salmon cooked the way you want it and it did not have that fishy taste or smell. You also get a choice of sides unfortunately they forgot to include my potato salad side. To kick off the lunch, I went with their clam chowder with potato. This was pretty good with a good amount of clams, but it was a tad on the salty side.

I'll preface by saying the vibe was interesting. There's a woman that sitios by tables to sing, which I didn't particularly like. The house itself gives off pre civil war vibes... so take that as you will. Nothing strange or offensive happened to me, it was the energy. Now to the meal. Our waiter was great. We ordered wine to go with our food and started with the biscuits and some oysters of the half shell. Delish! My husband ordered the scorched flounder and I got the fried lobster tails. Amazing flavors, and we were stuffed. The Olde Pink House is on the pricier side, but there's attention to the detail in the meals that match the price. There is an elevator inside, which is good since the stairs are a bit steep, and there are so many places to sit with a different feel.
