Fast dependable service. Cheaper than that other big Auto Glass company. Pablo was on time professional and fast. Highly recommend.

Rob is AWESOME! SHORT VERSION- Hire him immediately for all…read moreyour window, slider, door, etc needs!!!! His service, communication and pricing is amazing! LONG VERSION - wish all home repair services were as professional, prompt, communicative and easy to work with as he is. When searching for window repair, other "window companies" resulted in rejection after rejection, as they only service what they installed. What good is that!?!? SO HAPPY I FOUND ROB AT UNBEATABLE! After emailing him via his site, he replied back promptly, even following up with a text message as I was traveling for work and didn't respond. Analyzing my problem was fast and easy. I sent him a picture of the window /crank/control arm, gave him measurements(he actually knew them but wanted to verify), then sent me links to the parts online for a fraction of the price of what local supply stores wanted. I purchased the parts directly(he gave me 3 sites to check inventory and color desired) and only charged labor costs (very reasonable) to fix both windows. His professionalism was off the charts! The windows work better than when we first installed them 17 years ago!!! Can't believe we lived with them working partially for so long. Wish I called /found Rob sooner! We have him down to fix our sliding door to the patio next - as one side is warped due to a water leak. Rob is awesome. I would give 50+ stars if I could!

Our first time buying windows, we spoke to lots of folks, but couldn't ignore all the reviews we…read moresaw on Yelp. We are glad we didn't, as Turab was really the best, without any comparison. We had a budget, and he helped us keep to it, but he really went above and beyond that. Other vendors told us there was no way to keep the 130 year window moldings, but Turab not only helped us keep them, but had so many neat tricks to improve our restoration project. Other vendors just gave us offers against our project scope, but Turab explained to us the dynamics of different windows in different parts of the house and what types worked best and saved us money. He made custom moldings for our cellar windows. He also helped us out to stop a fly tipping incident one day when we were out and not able to deal with it ourselves. And when it was pouring with rain and our basement flooded, he went outside and took a really long and hard look and told us what the problem was. We got it fixed the same weekend and never had issues since.

I recently hired Ardmore Windows and Doors to replace 18 windows in my home, and while the sales…read moreprocess started off strong, the rest of the experience was incredibly disappointing. To begin with, the sales representative was punctual, knowledgeable, and thorough. He clearly explained all the window options and helped us choose the style we wanted. Unfortunately, that is where the professionalism ended. One of the most alarming issues occurred during installation: a window was either dropped or thrown from the second floor onto my front lawn, where it shattered. The crew made no attempt to clean it up. I only discovered the shards the next day while outside barefoot with my toddler. I spent hours picking up tiny pieces of glass myself. When I raised this with the project manager, he didn't apologize or show any concern--he simply offered $100 off for my "time." Beyond that, the overall project management and execution were riddled with issues. I had to review the order sheet at least ten times because the company repeatedly made mistakes--wrong quantities, wrong styles, wrong hardware. Even after all of that, the final order was still incorrect. I requested that the new windows match the existing styles (e.g., 6 over 1, 8 over 1), yet this was ignored, and we only realized the error during installation when it was too late to correct. They also installed two top sashes in one window and acted as if this was normal. Their explanation was that "owners ask for ridiculous things sometimes," so they didn't question it. This was the only window of the 18 installed incorrectly, yet I was the one who had to push to have it acknowledged. The hardware situation was equally unprofessional. They installed mismatched pieces--gold locks with nickel lifts--because the hardware we selected was "out of stock," but they never told us. When we asked for replacements, they simply handed me a catalog and told me to choose new ones, offering no guidance, even though only one alternative actually worked with the holes they had already drilled. Another major issue involved the window screens. I requested screens for all windows in the original estimate, and this was clearly documented. Despite that, no screens were installed. Their excuse was that "homeowners don't often want to open their windows." After the mistake was pointed out, they installed makeshift screens that don't fit properly and are extremely difficult to remove and replace--clearly not the correct screens for the windows we purchased. The job, which was supposed to take a few days, dragged on for weeks due to unfinished work, installation errors, and repeated reorders caused by their own mistakes. Some of the work is still unfinished. I would not recommend Ardmore Windows and Doors to anyone. Unless you want to act as your own project manager, clean up after the crew, and still end up with results that don't match what you paid tens of thousands of dollars for, look elsewhere.

My breakfast room window, which is next to the fire escape, has been broken since the day I moved into the apartment. The super tried to fix it over the 6 years that I've lived here; however, it remained broken and dangerous. Fortunately, Altin and Egli, who are employed by A&J, came today and fixed my window. They even went throughout the apartment, checking all of the other windows to make sure there were no other issues. Altin and Egli were kind, respectful, professional and efficient. Their boss, Reggie, who owns A&J called to check to make sure I was satisfied. A&J Window Repair is EXCELLENT. A must for anyone who has window repair issues. Dr. Ramona Brockett

We ordered and paid for several pet-safe screens for our windows and sliding doors. They cancelled…read morethe first appointment. We rescheduled, and then they didn't show up for the next one, nor the next one, an so on. This happened around 12 times over a period of two months! Eventually, the office administrator gave me the direct phone number for her boss, Reggie, because even she couldn't get hold of him anymore. Every time there was a different excuse: he was "driving back from Florida," dealing with "an emergency with an employee in Florida," had to leave "for Florida," and so on. There was always another excuse. One day, his crew finally showed up and installed some of the window screens. However, they had to wait six hours for him to arrive to bring the material. Then we discovered that several of the screens didn't fit because he had measured them incorrectly. None of the large sliding door screens were even ready. Eventually, I'd had enough and demanded a refund for the unfinished work and the screens we never received. He promised again that he would come and complete the installation, even confirming it by email, but he never showed up. He repeated this two more times. Finally, I told him I was done and wanted our money back. His response was to hang up on me! And now, it shows that their business is "permanently closed" and I'm left to figure out how I'll get a refund from them!

The first time, he showed up, took measurement and my deposit then came a couple weeks later to do some demo/prep work. After that he would disappear for weeks or months at a time - always with an excuse or promise to be there "by the end of the week" or "early next week." After finally completing the work at least 6 months behind schedule (build builtin pantry cabinet, replace basement windows, fix some stairs, build mud room cubbies and some other handy man work) he tried to charge me extra for using maple instead of pine - I pulled out the contract to show him that maple was built into his estimate. The overall quality of the work was good except the paint he used cracked - we called him to have him fix it and started talking to him about other work we wanted done. He gave us this song and dance about how he felt terrible about how he treated us the first time around and wanted a chance to make it up to us. We made the mistake of taking his low bid because again after taking our deposit and doing some initial work in April of 2016, he again disappeared for months. After hanging the drywall and putting a coat of primer on he said he'd be back in 3 weeks to install the desk and cabinets. Of course we didn't hear from him for about 7 weeks when we talked about him refinishing the floors while we were on vacation. Of course, we came back from vacation and about half the floor had been sanded. I finally got a hold of him and he argued that his contract stated the project would take 6 weeks. When I told him it had already been 9 he fumbled through some excuses and apologies and promised to finish the floors and install the desk in 2 weeks. That was July, we didn't hear from him again for a month. I started calling him every week where he would promise to be done by the end of the week. At the end of the week he would promise to be done by early the next week. He did finish the floors by working on them an hour a night for a week or so - showing up to work after our kids were in bed. For months he constantly lied about how the desk was done, it just needed to be painted. When he finally showed up in November to take measurements, it was clear he never started the desk. He finally installed the desk in January of 2017 and he charged me extra for work he needed to do because he built the cabinets too short. Throughout the process he would send us pictures of other jobs he was working on as if that was supposed to make us feel better that he was using our deposit to finance someone else's project while neglecting ours. At one point he told us that some people get attention while other jobs suffer and ours was one that suffered - that's just the way it is. He's cheap but he's not worth the lies, delays and the headaches. And by the way, the paint on the cabinets he repainted cracked again about 2 weeks after we paid him. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for a reliable professional.
