If you like jerky and smoked meats, you should check out Dublin Jerky Company. I finally stopped by recently and was overwhelmed by the variety of different jerky options at this store. They have duck, venison, kangaroo, camel, buffalo, pheasant, alligator, and more... as well as beef, turkey, chicken, and other more typical jerky options. They have so many different flavors of jerky too. We got some sweet and spicy chicken jerky and a honey chipotle BBQ beef jerky. You can also get summer sausage, steaks, dips, fish jerky, cheese, candy, etc. It's a lot of stuff in one store! This would be a great place for gifts if you have a meat lover in your life. Prices seemed pretty reasonable. The jerky we got was tasty - I really liked the sweet and spicy chicken jerky. Both were a little chewy but it seemed like a normal jerky texture to me. Stopped here while on vacation in Michigan with a friend who insisted that we get jerky here. He was spot on. Excellent jerky and good customer service. There's more jerky than you know what to do with. We got the BBQ Elk, Double Smoked Elk, Sweet Heat Buffalo, Hellfire Beef, and Duck! Loved them all, but the Duck was my favorite. They let us know that they had a fresh batch of bacon so we grabbed a pound of that, too. The bacon is a MUST! Apparently, they do barbecue and fresh cuts of meat. Will have to try both next time. I've also gotten meat here at prices comparable or better than the grocery store (with great quality). I am on their email list, so I get updates about new products and stuff they have occasionally, like prepared bbq meats. They're located in the strip mall across from Target. Plenty of parking. I LOVE hot & spicy jerky, but was taken by surprise with this one. ...a delayed burn! I got hiccups from this selection, but loved it! I hope their website gets updated to reflect the fact that their homemade brats are a "seasonal only" product,... I will return to pick up a brat selection this summer. Dublin Jerky Company is located in a large shopping complex on one of the satellite strip malls. There was plenty of parking when I went, but the lot was jammed and I saw an accident. Gotta pay attention when driving in Michigan! The store has any kind of jerky you could imagine. The standard beef varities are pretty reasonably priced. The more exotic meats (ostrich, alligator, emu) are a bit more pricey. I went conservative with the original flavor jerky and loved it. It was rich and flavorful - very good jerky! They didn't offer samples, but I picked a good one with that. I also tried the ghost pepper and regretted it. Too much heat for me - I guess I am a wimp. They also do BBQ takeout. When I came they just sold out of ribs - so phone your orders in early. They also had pulled pork and a few other items that smelled delicious. This was a Friday night, so check the website for timing. There was a cooler/freezer with some steaks and stuff to grill at home too. I am not a huge beef jerky fan but this place has quite a selection. Everything from the mild "original" beef jerky to something called Hellfire jerky (the hottest jerky they sell). I tried the Ghost Chili jerky (2nd hottest) and I couldn't imagine even trying the Hellfire. They have a huge selection of all kinds of jerky. Beef, Chicken, Turkey, Pork, Venison, Buffalo, Elk. Even Kangaroo, Crocodile, Ostrich, Pheasant, and Duck. They have open cooler with smoked cheeses, brats, dogs, and dips as well. I went in there and was pleasantly surprised at all the choices! I got a couple of things a year or so ago and never went back because I didn't like how the jerky tasted. I ended up throwing it away because it was waaay too dry. A couple of months ago, I got some jerky at a place closer to home and it was super-dry too. What brand was it? Dublin Jerky. I probably would not have gotten it in the first place had I caught that. I understand that beef jerky is pricey anways, but it should be worth the price which is not what I've found with this brand. read more

Something has changed here. A year ago this was a great alternative to the Wellston store for jerky. Not anymore we bought 4 lbs it was way overdone it was hard and crispy like it was in the smoker forever. My wife bought what the package said was smoked cheese but when we got home the package in small writing said it had smoked flavoring. I hate writing this, I hate what they sold us. Be careful things are not what they once were here. Cost us a little over $100 to find out how bad it has gotten. The words that come to mind is Buyer beware. read more

This is the holy grail of beef jerky products. I got the maple beef and let me tell you...the first whiff was of pure high grade maple syrup mist, followed by a rich smokey beefy aroma. the taste is unbelievable, the texture is soft and enjoyably chewy as beef jerky should be. The meat is so dense and thick you might as well be eating a steak. I would easily put this against the 80 dollar steak at a premier steak house in Boston. If anyone has a problem with this company or quality of product, you are simply out of your forsaken mind. This is...literally...as good as food gets. Recently visited Dublin Jerky and was disappointed with the jerky. The selection was great with plenty of exotic choices. The flavor and meat quality just wasn't there. The meat was so dry and just didn't compare to the Jerkies jerky place in the mall. After we left Dublin's we went to Jerkies Jerky and was able to select single sticks where with Dublin you have to get packs. I did enjoy the Superman (Hellfire) jerky from Dublin though. Overall, the quality and flavor of Jerkies Jerky at the Rivertown Mall was just better. read more

The quality of the jerky is amazing. Their Kobe beef jerky is the best! It's so popular that it's hard to get it. They sell out almost immediately. Their original jerky is almost as good as the Kobe. I've had many of their samples and they're all great. For the quality, it's well worth the price and the trip. read more

Hope fully I can get my money back, This is not really Jerky, it is more like beef strips, that are not dry enough to be considered Jerky. Really not my cup of tea, and this was after they messed up my order. My first order was placed, I gave them specific instructions on sending and when to charge and first time they did not listen to me. My second order was much the same. I specifically asked for it to be shipped on a Friday, however it was not. I even called back on Monday to check to see if it was shipped on Friday and I was told it was, upon checking the tracking number it was not sent on Friday but rather Monday night. I was so excited for the jerky for three weeks only to find out it is more of a beef strip. Very disappointed. Looks nothing like the picture, of the few pictures they have. It would be better if they would include pictures of each product. The thing that attracted me to this site was the low prices and their many years of service, however I now know why they are way cheaper than everyone else. I should of known better. This place is so much more than jerky! (Although the jerky is fantastic too). We have been spoiled by their amazing cuts of meat. The NY Strip is one of our favorites. Other favorites include brisket, pork loin, ribs, and brats. They sell lots of other delicious things too. Everything we've tried and has been good. Tonight we're having the new bacon cheeseburger brat. Oh, and the 50/50 burger (50% beef 50% bacon) is as good as it gets for burgers on the grill! read more

Very good jerky - I make my own, but sometimes when I want just a different flavor or...something 'different' I stop in at Dublin Jerky. The Kobe is tender, but once you have to refridgerate the tenderness is the same as the other offerings - the taste is very good. We also tried the BBQ buffalo and BBQ elk and found that tasty too, but not much different tasting from one another. All in all we recommend this place. Certainly didn't find any of the offerings we tried to be 'dry' - that's our experience. read more

Why is there no 10 star rating for this place? The only thing that surpasses the flavor of their jerky is their customer service. I'm ashamed to say I don't know the name of the man who runs the place, especially since he greets us like family, despite the fact we travel from Battle Creek to come visit and enjoy so we have only gone like 10-15 times in the past 9 years. We do try to make a trip there whenever we are in town, though. And it's not just the jerky there that is awesome, their steaks are fantastic, and usually at incredible prices. One time we went there and our jerky was incredibly dry, but if you think about the process of making jerky and the fact of the matter that sometimes you're going to get a cut of meat that dry and defiant no matter what you do to it, but we told the man who's name we should know about it and he threw in a free half lb of jerky for our trouble and he was so nice about it. This place is in a newer strip mall, but the way it's run if you ignored the newness, it really would have that general store feel to it. This is definitely a destination that needs to be put on everybody's list and I absolutely can't wait to come back and sample what new items they have in store the next time!!! read more
