Hello! I am very pleased to offer a review of Anna's House Grandville. I'm not gonna lie, this is not my first review. My first review was a terrible review because they had not learned their tablet system yet. My wife convinced me to come back anyway, and the second time I was hooked on aunt Anna's house. Unfortunately, after attending several years together and eating the finest of foods, my wife passed away in November 2024. I miss her dearly but one day I summoned the nerve to go in there on my own. It was right after my second of five surgeries I've had since November. I walked in and I was just recovering and I felt terrible, but I felt the need to go to church. So I stumbled in slowly and said to the server I just had surgery and I'm in no hurry and yet I'm in a hurry I don't know what I'm in... The servers name was Angie and the rest is history, it turned out. She: had had five surgeries of her own, and she was an empath all the way. Hugged me, made me feel welcome, introduced me to two other awesome servers, and their names are Victoria and another one of my favorites Avery. Avery is the one I call "a very good time." Now some might take exception to that nickname, but Avery loved it. And me and her can do no wrong with each other even though she's 50 years older than me. She not only is a great server, but she's my counselor there. I was having some LUV problems and Avery straightened me out. And if she didn't, Angie would've. And then Victoria is a content developer for Instagram, which I think that's just a normal user of Instagram but she's really cool and I think she didn't liked me at first. I said "Are we ok?" and she looked at me and said YES... so now next time I'm gonna ask for her to serve me because she is the bomb. Now the food is the real draw at Anna's House. Their menu cannot be topped. They have items for everybody from serious meat eaters to prudent young vegan eaters. Having mentioned the surgery during Nov-Apr, my system has sort of reset, and now I crave healthy foods. So the last time I've gone to Anna's, I've gotten Açai Power Bowl, which was great and then an another power bowl, which they have on the menu. You cannot go wrong with either one and on each case I could only eat about 3/4 of it because I just felt filled and satisfied from them. Being an egg, bacon, toast, pancake, kind of guy, this departure from my norm was, well, I never saw it coming. So just to summarize here the four people I know at Anna's house: Angie, the manager of seating and serving; Callie, the general manager, Victoria server level one, and Avery server level zero if there's such a thing... Oh never mind we'll just give her one as as well as Victoria. And if you want entertainment choose Victoria, but if you want care and compassion that would be Avery. A very good time... Lol. My husband found Anna's House for breakfast as we left Grand Rapids to head home. What a great find! Cute place with very good food and service. Our server Annabelle was so personable, friendly and engaged in conversation. She was so sweet! We started with what we thought would be a normal cinnamon roll. Oh my gosh, their cinnamon roll was on steroids. It was beyond big. Needless to say, most is traveled home with us. The cinnamon roll was warm and gooey deliciousness. Hubby ordered the breakfast lasagna. Never saw that before. It was an egg casserole - layered eggs, spinach, sundried tomatoes, basil, mushrooms, turkey sausage and ricotta cheese. Hubs gave it two thumbs up. I had a half order of Anna's healthy baked oatmeal with dried cherries and raisins served with steamed almond milk to pour on top. Very good. This was definitely a great find. Always good to be able to get what is as close to a home-cooked breakfast as possible. It's also even better when traveling that you can get healthy, yet hearty options that include turkey bacon, turkey sausage, chicken sausage, and other healthy options. The banana pancakes were truly delicious. This is a place I would definitely frequent if I lived here, and the next time I'm in Grand Rapids, Michigan, I will be returning for sure. The service was friendly and efficient. Good clean place to rest, a little noisy though. The food was very good. Although the breweries were a little bit sweet and the icing for the cinnamon roll was very sweet. The cinnamon roll was berry tasty and fresh. The breakfast lasagna was different, it was enjoyable and had a different flavor to it. Likely would not get it again though. read more

Anna's House has always been a brunch staple and the Grandville location boasts efficiency that excites. Food came out almost instantly. Got their new Farmhouse Chicken & Biscuit menu item which was incredible. Savory chicken with a over medium egg and a flaky biscuit. It's covered with a peppery sausage gravy that ties it all in together and keeps it not dry. Other savory item we tried was their eggs benedict. A little underseasoned, but the flavors are there. Just need some S&P to top it all off. Good with the american fries on the side. We also decided to add a belgian waffle to split. Crispy on the edges, soft on the inside, and plenty of brown sugar butter to cover the whole waffle with it and some syrup. A solid sweet treat you can get if you're overwhelmed by the savory options or sweet dishes that are heavy handed with the toppings. read more

Their food is always amazing! Our family goes there quite often and I almost always get their French toast. Dang that's good stuff!!

Hard to beat! Food is hot & fresh and so so flavorful! I try something different every time and I've not been disappointed. Service is amazing - attentive and accommodating! Restaurant is clean and bright. You will wait but it's worth it. Recommend getting on the waitlist ahead of time! read more

Just okay, nothing special IMO. The best part was joining the waitlist. Hash browns were not good and that's hard to mess up.

Stopped in for a late brunch this morning. Originally joined the waitlist for the wrong location so we sat at the bar. Our server was not very friendly, felt like she was shouting the whole time. It was a very busy area with the servers gossiping and eating. Recommend waiting for a table in the future. The area was very clean but noisy. I ordered the Anna's skillet with no ham or green peppers and substituted bacon and avocado. It was made perfectly and super yummy My mom got the traditionalist breakfast and the potatoes were a little under cooked. Food was 9/10 Service 6/10 We will definitely be back for breakfast! read more

The vegan options on the menu were plentiful. I had the Southwest Chipotle Breakfast bowl and it was beyond incredible!!! Good portion size and a good value. I wish this place was in the Chicago area/suburbs. Next time I am the Grand Rapids area, this will be a place to go for sure!!! And there is a location near Detroit so when I visit that area, I'll go to the Westland location. Service was impeccable. Ambiance was typical for a breakfast/lunch restaurant. The staff are amazingly friendly, but the bottom line is the food -- and Anna's House is excellent. I don't think we waited five minutes before our food was served. I have to admit, I wondered if they had a lot of things premade to get our food so fast, but the skillet I ordered was fresh and hot. They also give you nice-sized mugs for the coffee, so I only needed one refill for my whole meal. The place was packed on a Friday morning, and now I know why: great people and great food! I'm only in the area a couple of times a year, but this will be my new go-to place for breakfast, even if my hotel offers breakfast. read more

We had the traditionalist-plentiful slices of bacon, eggs cooked just right, and artisan toast. The kids all had funfetti pancakes-3 served with syrup. The breakfast burrito arrived with 3 cups filled with guac and 2 salsa choices. I can't resist the corned beef hash n eggs-2 eggs how you want them-fresh shredded corned beef with home fried potatoes. Delish! Not salty, perfect potatoes. The english muffin was toasted expertly. Absolutely horrible experience from start to finish. We called an hour ahead for a group of 7 after my bachelorette party and were still forced to wait almost 2 hours to be seated, despite supposedly being "on the list." Once seated, it took nearly another hour to get food, and when it finally came out, multiple entrees and sides were missing, several items were wrong, and the food we eventually received was cold, soggy, and clearly had been sitting in the window forever. Our waitress completely disappeared most of the time -- no refills, no check-ins, no apology, no urgency, and nothing but attitude anytime we tried to get help. Even paying was a disaster because she never came back for our cards and we had to go hunt someone down at the host stand while the restaurant was over half empty. What should have been a fun celebratory brunch after my bachelorette party and birthday turned into a nearly 3-hour nightmare. Most of us have worked in restaurants before and are very understanding, but this level of poor service, lack of communication, and complete disregard for customers was unacceptable, especially after driving over an hour to eat here and spending hundreds of dollars. First time visiting Anna's. First rate service. Very friendly and helpful selecting a meal. The food is overly plentiful. I ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits with two eggs and hash browns. Tasted great but there were cold spots in either the gravy or biscuit. No idea why but I kept eating. Hash browns and eggs were perfect. We shared and enjoyed the billion dollar bacon. Coffee was fine too. A little pricey but portions were just big, too big for me. Definitely will return when I get the chance. read more

Ordered Biscuits and gravey w/hashbrowns and eggs. Also ordered blueberry latte special. biscuits were way over cooked on the bottom, arguably burnt, hashbrowns had a strange taste of them, could not eat. Blueberry latte was forgotten about coffee delivered instead... server did apologize and brought me a latte complementary. Anna's House is such a fun, colorful breakfast spot with a good variety on its menu. I'm not a coffee person, but the twilight latte was delicious. Sweet and creamy with a hint of coffee. The whip cream on top was a treat of its own. The berry bliss yogurt has almonds, granola, raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries with a raspberry sauce and a side of peanut butter toast. It was okay-good. The yogurt was runny and I think it would be better served slightly colder. The berries didn't look all too fresh but tasted fine. The big breakfast came with eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, potatoes, toast and pancakes. Everything came out good except it was cooled. I've found this to be consistent with their Byron Center location also: the dishes aren't served hot & fresh. Their bacon was excellent however; thin but great flavor. Service is good. Quick & courteous. The check has a QR code on it so you can pay at the table. Option to split on your phone as well which is convenient. read more

My friends and I enjoyed Anna's house for brunch! We went on a sunday late morning. We joined the waitlist we estimated out time to be around a 25minute wait that ended up being closer to a 50 minute wait. This was the only downside though! The food came out quickly and we all enjoyed our meals! I got the french toast and it was cooked perfectly. It was busy in the restaurant but not too loud for conversation. I would recommend this place to people visiting Grand Rapids! read more

It's Anna's House, a small chain of boutique breakfast joints scattered across Michigan. The Grandville location has a smaller counter than the Holland location, but it's the same bright and mid-century modern interior you see at any AH. Menu is varied. Staff are friendly. Coffee and water stayed topped up. Prices are higher than your average greasy spoon diner, but that doesn't stop the church crowd from packing this place on a Sunday. It works. read more
