This is just me.

If you haven't had the pleasure of visiting a good Irish pub, then you owe it to yourself to go to Dublin Irish pub on W. 9th Ave. The drinks are well-made and served from delightful attendants. The food is absolutely wonderful. I have yet to have anything that didn't hold up to everything. I was served from my entire Irish family on the East Coast, and they were good Irish chefs. Atmosphere is lively and fun, although there may be times when you might need some earplugs. You would be hard-pressed to find a more entertaining and delicious place to spend an Irish evening or good Irish lunch.!

Great fish fry. Best I've had in a while. I actually got the fish and chips. Which is a smaller portion to their Friday haddock. So it did not have the Cole slaw or rye bread. But was so good. Our server Jackie was crazy busy running around. But took the time to make that menu suggestion and to properly order and deliver my husbands perfectly prepared burger. She kept our beers and waters full. She had a great personality and made our night and meal very enjoyable. The only thing that is keeping me from giving them 5 stars is that they have to yell the name of the server from the kitchen door all night when their order is ready. It was actually pretty unprofessional. It has the feel of Ireland, well decorated. I've been to Ireland a few times and never saw this as an "Irish" thing to tell their names. I saw their Packer game day specials and this place looks like a great place to watch Packer games. We will be back and hope to see Jackie again. And I will ask to not sit near the back of the place near that noisy kitchen door.

Good food. Fish fry is great. Multiple options for Bloody Mary. 10/10. Inside it has a lot in Ireland memorabilia.

Great tap beer selection and an awesome Friday fish fry! This bar/restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere and can also be a lot of fun!

The…read moreother bars have their own character, but what sets Clancy's apart is the food and paying attention to detail when it comes to what bars SHOULD have at their customers' disposal. The bar itself has been overhauled and re-finished in several parts until you get what you see now. In short, the place was transformed by its current owners. So, that is nice in that you can walk into a pub in Custer, WI and feel like you walked off the street in any larger town in America. The beer selection is stellar for this neck of the woods, and there is a special attention paid to Irish-oriented alcohol because, well, it's an Irish pub. That, and the owner (Clancy) looks like he crawled out of Braveheart. The food is standard to better-than-average for the most part, but by and large it is done well by Clancy's wife in the kitchen. She runs the show for the most part, and though she is alone, she manages to keep up with the appetites of those who come in...for the most part. The most celebrated food there is probably the Friday Fish Fry (a Wisconsin tradition if you didn't figure that out yet). I've eaten it a number of times, and the consistency of that particular dish is outstanding! Whether you're in Stevens Point, a local, or just moving through the area...Clancy's is worth a stop. It's also the FIRST place you should stop in its neighborhood. There are other bars, but Clancy's is going to give you a bit more of what most people are looking for. Then again, the other bars aren't terrible or overly lacking. They're just more, hmmmm, specific to their particular clientele's needs.

This place has a low profile that belies the quality of the establishment…read more Quietly hidden away just a few minutes from town the external look of Clancey"s gives promise to what's inside which is a warm and well decorated Irish bar with a welcoming publican and friendly staff . But the real stars are on the menu - all home made by the lady of the house - mostly with an Irish / English twist, and all with character and great taste. Personal favorite is the Saint Paddys pizza - a variation on the staple of corned beef and cabbage - served up on a pizza base with a gorgeous mustard sauce. Friday fish fry is baked and crumbed - nothing deep fried and is a pleasant change from the norm. If possible skip eating in the main dining room - it mostly lacks the atmosphere of the front bar and games room - and instead soak up all this place has to offer while sitting at or alongside the bar. The place gets full and busy on Friday nights but is never rowdy and the TVs are well placed and not obtrusive. And leave room for dessert - again they're home made and there's always a couple of themed items that are sure to please. Prices are very reasonable and portions are a good size. I'm a fan.
