We can't say enough good things about First Mile Brewing…read more We arrived Friday evening after driving several hours because visiting First Mile was our daughter's one request for her vacation. Unfortunately, the power had gone out, the doors were locked, and Travis and Jodi were heading home. When they learned how far we'd traveled and why we had come, they asked if we had cash, turned around, reopened the brewery just for us, and served us anyway. That simple act of kindness transformed what could have been a huge disappointment into the highlight of our day. The beer was outstanding, but what we'll remember most is the genuine hospitality and generosity we experienced. Travis and Jodi, thank you for going above and beyond for complete strangers. You made our daughter's vacation wish come true, and you gave our family a memory we'll never forget. If you're anywhere near Fort Kent, do yourself a favor and stop at First Mile Brewing. You'll find great beer--but even better people.

This was a must visit for my wife and I during our Maine route 1 trip. The taproom is more rustic with tables and a bar with a couple seats. Due to needing to head back early we only sampled their cream ale and Mexican lager, both were pretty solid. Definitely seems to be a spot for locals as their place to grab a drink after work. Bartender was friendly. Overall a solid brewery worth checking out if in the area just didn't have anything that set it apart and made it that memorable.

Very casual and friendly atmosphere at this family run bar/restaurant in the woods country. We had a good variety of food items and it was all good. They make their own pizzas from scratch including the dough. Terry is the boss and his mom knits socks for sale. It's a popular place with the sledder and four wheeler crowd because it's so casual and laid back. They can hold a lot of people when it's full. The back room has a couple of pool tables and there's more bathrooms in back too. Live music on occasion, and that really brings in the crowds. Don't miss this hotspot in Juniper if you're passing through.

The staff are friendly and attentive. It gets very busy during certain times of year since the location attracts snow mobilers, ATV enthusiasts, canoe and kayakers. During these times there may be a bit of a wait for food, but they keep the drinks coming and it's always worth the wait .

What I saw was a team that seamlessly worked together to make their customers feel seen and appreciated. It was like I watched an interpretive dance. If the bartender needed (for whatever reason) to step away from the bar, another employee filled her place. I even saw one employee asking the current bartender to teach her how to make a certain drink. I had the cheese curds, and they were so good that I asked for a to-go so I could share it with my family. Someone from the kitchen brought out my order. I said, "Please tell the chef that these are so good that they could be addictive." He smiled and said, "Thank you. I'm the chef." What I learned is that if I have a few sips of beer left in my glass, that's the time to let my server that I want another and perhaps the check (if that's the case).

Our waitress was knowledgeable and give us some good ideas. Water was good and so the selections were mostly typical. They were very good at dipping sauce tasted great. I ordered a salad, which was OK and pork filled a bao buns which were very tasty and barbecue juice sauce is not too spicy not too sugary. The whole sauce was very good on the bottom. Just wish it was a bit more. Make sure you have that napkins cause it does leak juice. My Son had the fish and chips. The fish was really well done they say crunchy a good portion of fish. Fries were good too.
