This is an ok place to go for a casual lunch. They have variety of choices for burger, sandwich, fried scallop/clams etc. Everything are on average. If you just stop by fort kent and looking for a place to eat, you may try this one.

We ordered the WHOOPIE PIES after seeing them on Good Morning America. It took a few days to process the order and a few more to recieve it. OMG...the pumpkin was sinfully delicious and moist! The cream in the middle tasted like a marshmellows fluff. I can't wait to try the chocolate chip, peanut butter chocolate & regular chocolate. Don't wait and order yours today! https://www.rocksfamilydiner.com/shop

What a great diner. Family run with a great atmosphere. Service was super friendly and the food was delicious. Rocks has a very expansive menu selection. Everything from lobster rolls to a western omelet with home fries. If you make it up Rt 1 to visit mile 0, make sure you stop in Rock's for a bite to eat or just a hot cup of coffee.

Fort Kent, Maine --- "Rock's Family Diner" since 1945 is a local's hangout & a "Run-A-Way Bill" Favorite ... the breakfast features an area of "Been There, Seen It, Done It!" elders which I call the "circle of knowledge" that adds spirit and atmosphere to the diner ... need to speak and/or understand French to get full benefit of the "knowledge" portion though ... the customers are "Maine-ly Nice" and interactive with locals & PFA's (People-From-Away) alike "Run-A-Way Bill" was here! 06.03.16

This was one of the better smaller local restaurants we stopped at during our Maine route 1 trip in…read morethe northern part of the state. Overall, in the more northern/more rural areas service was more relaxed and slower. The food was also just more average. Compared to some other spots Fort Kent had a decent amount of options and this was the spot we settled on. It was by no means busy during this time of the year and like similar places service was decent, food did come out quickly and our order was taken at a good pace also. The attentiveness was just less than I typically expect especially considering it was not that busy. This place looks like what you would expect from a rural Maine spot and fitting along with the name they have antler chandeliers. Also, an emphasis on wood to give that rustic feel. On to the food; they have a good variety that would make even picky eaters feel like they have options. A huge number of appetizers then salads, burgers, seafood, sandwiches, and desserts. My wife got a bowl of French onion soup and a taco salad while I got their chicken finger luncheon with fries. The taco salad had a great taco seasoning on the meat and the chips tasted fresh. Chicken fingers were tasty with a delicious batter but were surprisingly small. Decent food at decent prices just not any bites I would need to return for. For the area its in, solid but compared to less rural areas I don't think it would stand up.

Dolly's is a great place to eat! I've been here a few times, the only things I wouldn't order again…read moreare the hamburgers, they're tiny, and the fried chicken, it was just okay. My favorite things to order are the: Broccoli cheese soup bites - omg they are so good Fish n' chips - crispier and more succulent than Governor's Chicken stew - an Acadian favorite that is something like chicken n' dumplings with added French panache Ployes and Creton - Essentially pork rilletes over buckwheat pancakes, if you like a lot of flavor then this is for you If you order anything and they ask if you want Ployes go ahead and get them, whether you like 'em or not, you won't be disappointed that you tried them and many find them uniquely delicious. The service here is always super attentive. The waitstaff is knowledgeable about the menu, friendly, and quick. You might have to wait a few minutes to check out behind other parties but I imagine you kind of expect that at a sit down restaurant anywhere. The vibe inside is right at home in the St. John Valley of Maine, no fuss, home cooked meals. The restaurant is in a converted house, you'll see pictures online of rows of Side by side's and trucks parked out front, this is about as Maine, and as Acadia as it gets for restaurants up here.

What I saw was a team that seamlessly worked together to make their customers feel seen and appreciated. It was like I watched an interpretive dance. If the bartender needed (for whatever reason) to step away from the bar, another employee filled her place. I even saw one employee asking the current bartender to teach her how to make a certain drink. I had the cheese curds, and they were so good that I asked for a to-go so I could share it with my family. Someone from the kitchen brought out my order. I said, "Please tell the chef that these are so good that they could be addictive." He smiled and said, "Thank you. I'm the chef." What I learned is that if I have a few sips of beer left in my glass, that's the time to let my server that I want another and perhaps the check (if that's the case).

They were very good at dipping sauce tasted great. I ordered a salad, which was OK and pork filled a bao buns which were very tasty and barbecue juice sauce is not too spicy not too sugary. The whole sauce was very good on the bottom. Just wish it was a bit more. Make sure you have that napkins cause it does leak juice. My Son had the fish and chips. The fish was really well done they say crunchy a good portion of fish. Fries were good too.
