It was named Java Hit and I desperately needed a cup of Java so I pulled up to the drive up window (yes, I said drive up)! I met the sweet st young lady (Kimberly) who just happened to be one of the owners. Kimberly gave me the run down on the menu and after a carful consideration she made me one of the best cups of dark americano coffee I've ever had. In just a few shout minutes I found out that Java Island Hut has a wonderful backstory; Kimberly has a nephew that has a illness so her family started Java Island Hut to support and help with research for his illness and a portion of every cup goes to support the foundation. If you stop by Java Island Hut not only will you get one of their great coffees, teas, frappes, lattes, smoothies, milkshakes or pasties but you'll be supporting a great cause.
