Located On the west side of Charlotte if It were closer to me and I didn't live on the other side of town I swear I would be in here daily ! Fresh off the plane, I headed over to Archive. I was met with extremely friendly staff who were welcoming and fun to talk to. I highly recommend coming here to support this coffee shop. The owner is an incredible person who seems to know everything about Charlotte. I was advised to order the foxy brown, and it was just what I needed. It was very tasty and gave me the boost of energy needed to go through the day. I got to capture photos of the charming inside, and you can see so much personality through the shop. Such a cute vibe. Absolutely love all the Black media decking the walls. I'm visiting for Charlotte for the week and wanted to hit up different Black owned coffee spots and this was my first stop. Archive is a Black owned woman business that adds a really dope vibe to the neighborhood. I enjoyed my visit, ordered a refresher and a coffee along with a strawberry danish. Since I was in no rush, I sat down and read the newspaper while listening to the owner play a few classic RnB tunes. It is a smaller space so the menu is limited, but worth coming in for a visit. It reminds me of the hangout spots/ third places you'd see on shows like moesha and living single. I've ordered the wild flower tea and the foxy brown latte and both drinks were crafted beautifully. This place is a vibe and a half, and I'm so happy it exists in CLT! We learned about Archive when taking a tour of "The Vault" Black art collectors special exhibition at the Mint Museum. Our tour guide mentioned that one of the collectors in the show owns this coffee shop, and that the bathroom is covered in vintage magazines, just like one of the walls of the exhibition! The very next morning, we came by to check it out. From the music playing to the books, records, art, and memorabilia in the space, Archive is so comfortable, welcoming, and interesting. It's the type of place where you want to enjoy a nice beverage and have deep conversations. To drink, we tried an iced dirty chai and an iced foxy brown (both with oat milk). The foxy brown was unique and delightful, with notes of caramel and brown butter. We nibbled on a cinnamon crumb muffin, which they offered to warm for us. Attended an event here last night & can't wait for more! I got the chamomile tea, they left the tea bag in which I really appreciated because of potency. I love the archival material in the space. Okay sooooooooo I had thee best matcha ever here the other day. I walked in and it was pretty empty compared to a weekend here. They're usually super busy on weekends and I love that. It was nice to be able to walk right in and order. The person who helped me was very nice. I ordered their matcha and absolutely loved it. It was piping hot and burned my tongue lol. Which I am actually okay with. I honestly haven't had a better matcha in Charlotte yet. I cannot wait to go back and get it again. I always love coming here, it's such a vibe. I stopped in to work on a project, ordered a warm muffin and a specialty coffee (Foxy Brown, with vanilla and almond milk). The shop offers free WiFi for customers and has plenty of seating. Great for small mixers and meetings. The archive of classic magazines, books, collectibles, art, games and memorabilia are on display for your enjoyment, viewing or purchase. Great place to study, work or just relax with good vibes. This establishment offers a variety of specialty coffees, lattes, teas, breakfast items and more. The staff member was polite but wasn't very friendly. She seemed distracted on her phone when I asked for a napkin, the WiFi password and to warm my muffin. I gave her a generous tip in hopes to brighten her day. I received feedback from my friends and they enjoyed their experience. The shop offers about 6 seating options including 2 large tables for groups. Electrical outlets are accessible from the tables. The bathroom was clean and gender neutral. Plenty of parking available in adjoining lot. Menu: they offer a handful of speciality drink options (both hot and iced). They also offer several baked goods (muffins go fast). I felt adventurous so I tried the hot Foxy Brown Latte and loved it. It was the perfect mix of savory & sweet. Hubby got the Dirty Chai Latte and it was also delicious. Service: We were fortunate enough to meet the owner during our visit. She is very friendly and passionate about her business. She took the time to engage with us and share her vision for the shop. This is a best kept secret off Beatties Ford Road. Just look for the new Chase bank and turn there. It's right behind it. They have great customer service! Wonderful coffee and tea beverages. A nice array of pastries to accompany your beverage and music vibing all throughout the lounge. The best coffee shop I've been too. This shop is owned by a young black woman who saw a need and fixed it. The coffee is great but the atmosphere is even better. There is black memorabilia posted everywhere and for sell. There is a hand drawn moral of greats both old and new too. Don't be surprised if you see a table of people working in one corner and another table with people playing games. It's a very welcoming and relaxing place. read more

It's a coffee shop that reminds me of a Jill Scott, Alicia Keys, or Faith Evans song . I can't explain the vibe other than relaxing and nostalgic. The menu items are creative and super unique for Charlotte, so it's worth passing other coffee shops to get here! Service was also quick. Although the shop was busy, I did not have to wait for anything. I had the "Feeling Good" tea, and it really did have me feeling happy and peaceful for the rest of the day.
