I came for the Ducati puns, stayed for the awesome decor, left with a happy bike. I'm not only new to Ducati Winchester, and I'm not only new to Ducatis, I'm new to the entire world of motorcycles. But the one shop I kept hearing recommended over and over again is "the duc pond." As a fan of a well-placed pun myself, I had to check these guys out. They're absolutely not down the street from me, but what the hell did I buy the bike for anyways?! To ride it - so off I set for my 11AM appt (which had me waking up at the buttcrack of dawn... my bad, me) for Winchester. I'm greeted by a giant dog bellowing barks in exchange for head pats. Absolutely had to make that trade, and then the Ducati tech walks out and like a wizard, fixes everything on the bike, gives it a once over bill of health, makes recommendations, and teaches me a few things. It was wonderful. Was it cheap? No - but I'm a huge proponent of "you get what you pay for" and what I wanted was a Ducati technician and what I got was the confidence that my motorcycle had been taken care of. Winchester Ducati no longer sells or can perform warranty service on Ducati motorcycles since September of 2020. I wish I would have been told this before the owner (Donnie) took my Ducati in for warranty service in October 2020 and let the bike sit for close to two months. I now have to take the bike to another Ducati dealer for the work W.D. could not perform. I won't even get into the horrible customer service when I originally dropped the bike off.... read more

Had a terrible experience. Owner can be quite rude and from my experience pissibly dishonest as well. Customer service sucked. They never call you back. He was gonna charge hundreds for replacing a fuel sensor that Ducati alegedly never sent him. Funny the other dealer called me in a week with the part and replaced it free in less than an hour. Idk. Duc Pond deals in Ducati, only Ducati. This is a great shop if your looking to buy, tire kick, drool or just talk motorcycles. I don't a Ducati but love to hang around and talk motorcycles with others that love motorcycles. Regardless of what you ride you feel welcome. If you own a Ducati this is the place to go for service. Ask any one within 200 miles that rides a Ducati, they'll know Duc Pond. Donnie Unger the owner is an ex Ducati racer and knows Ducati inside and out. This place is trash. They will try every single way known to rip you off! Avoid at all costs. Read other reviews and you'll see what I'm talking about. I took my 650 there to get a new battery and tune up and it was a complete disaster. Made up service charges etc. they are terrible. Owner is a complete prick and conman. This place is the worst motorcycle dealership I have ever visited, evidently this place was going downhill long time ago and the previous owner then sold it to the current one and hasn't gotten any better. They hardly keep any inventory in stock except for clothing, no new bikes in stock for sale and this was a few yrs ago so way before covid was ever an issue, did have a few race bikes in the back that were supposedly spoken for. If you want a Ducati goto Coleman instead. I am totally surprised that this place is even still in business. read more

Duc Pond Motorsports is the epitome of how a business should run. They have outstanding customer service and honest/knowledgable mechanics. The owners treat everyone with friendly respect. My husband bought his first Ducati here and will never take his motorcycles anywhere else for maintenance or repair work. (We live less than 10 miles from C***man's Powersport but will take the time out of the day to drive out to Duc Pond.) They are THAT great! Why should you take my opinion into consideration? Incredible. Like the others mentioned an incredible shop-but more importantly the people, Donnie (the owner) and Nathan are incredible. The staff will do whatever they can to help you with your bike. Ducati is a brand of it's own, but these guys (and gal:) take it to another level. They are transparent, courteous, and professional through and through. The awards they have on their walls merely whisper how incredible this place is. Not just because they offer snacks and drinks, not just because they'll let you check out the bikes, not just because there's a friendly dog there to greet you at times- but because they care about your experience in their shop. Yes they're knowledgeable, yes it's a great shop, yes they have awesome bikes, but under it all they look out for you period. My bike was in Duc Pond and they lost my trunk and alarm keys. Five months later they have yet to find the keys they lost or pay to have them replaced. A service stop with Duc Pond could cost you and extra $500 if this happens to you. read more

DucPond is the best Ducati shop in the DC metro area... too bad it's not really in the DC metro area. While Winchester is about an hours drive west of DC it is worth the trip if you need real work done on your Duc or MV. They are a smaller, more personal shop than the other Ducati dealers in the area. As a result, many times you're dealing directly with the owner (Donnie Unger) or the staff member who will be doing your service work. Beyond the personal touch, the staff is very good at their jobs - the business holds a lot of regional and national awards from Ducati for service and sales. Beyond the basic maintenance service DucPond is also capable of doing a variety of modification, engine tuning custom fab and has connections to a finishing shop. They do a good bit of work on and builds of race bikes as well, and have a long history in the race scene. Beyond the work they can do, it's a cool place to visit. Tons of bikes to gawk at, a lounge where you can catch a break with water, coffee and snacks. So, in short it's the best shop in the area if you need their help, and a good place to visit if you don't. read more

I contacted this dealer after finding a Ducati for sale on cycletrader to get more information. I was unfortunate enough to be dealing with the sales manager Pete, possibly the most unmotivated salesman I have dealt with. He didn't seem very interested in selling the bike or even providing me with information about it. He was very unresponsive to my questions over email and repeatedly suggested I just come to the dealership in person rather than provide me answers in email. He looked for any excuse possible not to provide me service records of the bike over email, giving me the lame excuse that they were all in hard copy form. After reminding him we live in the age of technology and telling him he could use his phone to take pictures of the service records, he begrudgingly sent them to me after a week of no contact. After fighting with him over email for more than two weeks to get information about the bike for sale I was informed that the bike has been sold. I would strongly suggest to steer clear of this dealership if you are interested in doing business with them online. Not sure why they bother to advertise bikes on cycletrader if they are going to have such poor communication and business practices for online customers. read more

Despite its humble appearances and slightly remote location, Duc Pond is probably the best Ducati dealership in the Northern Virginia area. Their staff is both friendly and knowledgeable; they really don't treat you like a "regular" dealership would. They advertise and pride themselves as having a "small shop feel"... and they're not lying. You can expect fair prices (even without negotiation), honest opinions, test rides (!), and better inventory than other (even larger) dealerships. Without exaggeration, purchasing a bike from Duc Pond was the best experience I've had purchasing a motor vehicle of any kind. These guys are the Ducati Gurus! I had been chasing a fuel pump problem all winter. They knew exactly what the problem was and fixed in in 3 days (epoxy needed to cure). Nathan the parts manager did the excellent work and gave me a full and accurate explanation. Bike runs now - that's all that matters! read more

This is the best place to take your Ducati within at least five tanks of gas. Everyone at this shop is fantastic. The best by far. I've been around many dealerships over the years but none like this one. The sales, the service, just all in all the most pleasant experience i have ever had. The sales department was not pushy. Pete gave his input but did not try and talk into anything i did not want. Donny, the best. I have a very far ride and it's difficult for service intervals. I scheduled ahead and my bike was turned over as i waited. the staff and other customers provided great company during the hours i was there. I was able to watch my bike being serviced, very unusual. Nothing to hide and they were very informative of what was going on with my bike. The parts department was very very knowledgable, but did not try and push me into parts at all. I would be hard pressed to ever take my monster elsewhere. The atmosphere here is indescribable, you have to experience it for yourself. If you seek a Ducati or service on your Ducati...do yourself a favor and make the ride. I'll travel far for these guys. read more
