I am not typically a donut person. We were having a family reunion in Avalon and one of the 20 year olds went out early and brought these back to rental. With some little ducks for the kids. How thoughtful! These were warm and different than other donuts. Not too cakey but not at all like Dunkin. Much better. PB and J one was surprisingly fantastic. Kids loved ones with sprinkles. Powdered sugar and chocolate good too. Dangerous if trying to eat healthy! Quack. read more

My first Duck Donuts trip did not disappoint. We only ordered one each, which was our only mistake. The flavors were outstanding (raspberry and Oreo). The donuts were just so fresh, warm and delicious that they're hard to not finish in just a few seconds. This is a great addition to Avalon and I was impressed with my first visit. The line progressed quickly and the donuts were fresh and hot! Highly recommend trying this place if you haven't already! You can't go wrong with any selection but I love the chocolate with sprinkles. read more

This was my first time to Duck Donuts and it did not disappoint! I'm not the biggest donut person, but I must say that these were some of the best donuts I've ever had. There's honestly not much to say about these. Duck donuts is one of those staples of east coast beach towns, that really just doesn't get old. While the donuts are wonderful, with crazy toppings and a multitude of combinations... The real star, if the location has it (like this one does), are the breakfast sandwiches. Sausage egg and cheese on a maple bacon donut. Go ahead... Just let that run through your mind. It's kind of a big deal, and it's hard to eat just one. You can swap the sausage and get bacon instead. My only con, which what makes this a 4 star review is that the donuts here are considerably smaller than at other locations. Aside from that, if you're staying in the Avalon area, this is a must visit at least once. read more

We tried Duck Donuts for the first time today. We got a dozen donuts and 2 breakfast sandwiches. Everything exceeded our expectations. We've tried the Fractured Prune, which has the same schtick... Create your own by choosing a glaze and a topping, or choose from the favorites list. The quality of the ingredients sets these two Donut shops apart. Duck Donuts quality is far superior. The peanut butter glaze truly tastes like peanut butter. Bacon on Maple Bacon donut was 100% better in comparison to the other donut shop. Not all Duck Donuts offer breakfast sandwiches. read more

Part of my donut tour 2K16. Stopped here on a lazy beach day and was not disappointed. While I only tried two donuts - the maple bacon and cocoa beach both were made fresh to order and were absolutely delicious. The maple bacon had a generous amount of bacon and the maple glaze was sweet but not overdone. I don't remember the specifics on flavors for the cocoa beach but it was a simple sugar donut with glaze that feeds into the less is more mantra. This place is not close to me but worth the trip if I am visiting. read more

I have tried some fancy donuts before - even paid $40 for a dozen in Boston! But WOW! These donuts are amazing! (Cue the heart eye emoji x 10000) they taste so fresh and practically melt in your mouth - in a good way! My favorite is the maple bacon! You can create your own donuts or they have suggestions. We thought doing a maple frosting with bacon bits would taste delicious and apparently it's a huge favorite with them - according to the nice server behind the counter. The toppings and flavor combinations are plenty, the price is sooooo affordable, and the service was great. Would give this place 5 stars for the donuts. Sadly costumer service wasn't so great and we waited about 10 minutes for donuts that were already done and sitting there. Nobody asked if we were helped or even made eye contact with us. We ordered the maple donuts online 45 minutes before with maple drizzle and none of the maple bacon donuts had the drizzle on them. Not a big deal but still not what we ordered. Still 5 stars for the donuts, love them but mistakes were made. read more

We loved our donuts! We ordered the healthy breakfast sandwiches which were egg and turkey sausage on an English muffin. They were ok. I had to search the internet to find out exactly what was on them because there's no description on the web site. This is probably my new favorite place to get breakfast in Avalon and stone harbor. The donuts are so delicious!!!! They don't feel or taste heavy like I thought they would. The donuts soft and flaky on the inside and crunchy on the outside. I love all their toppings. The iced coffee is also A+ The very best thing is the customer service! They are extremely friendly. What goes well with the beach when visiting Cape May? How about a dozen donuts? Fresh, hot, saucy, delicious donuts. The order menu is a little crazy when you can pick different icings, glazes, toppings and drizzles but I guess you'll figure it out once you see it. We tried a whole bunch of different combos and my favorite was the maple bacon combo. Big fan of salty and sweet. They are just perfectly tasting when they are made fresh each order and melt in your mouth. This place is a must morning visit. read more

Don't let the long line turn you away! It's 4th of July, we decided to get some donuts in the morning, when we got there we seen there were a lot of people inside Duck Donuts! However the line moved very fast so it wasn't a problem at all! Delicious donuts! Great service! read more

We stopped on our way out to grab a bite for the drive back to Philly. WOW these are so good fresh, and almost just as good after 12 seconds in the microwave if you take a few home. Warm fluffy cake donuts with just a bit of crisp on the outside, and flavored glazes that actually taste like what they're called. They took a while to get ready, but each one is topped by hand to order. Love all the choices, but it was a bit overwhelming as a first-timer. This was our second choice donut place after Kohler's, which is not yet open for the season, but so glad we tried them. Friendly staff, nice outdoor seating area. read more

We were beyond excited to see Duck Donuts is in NJ!!! After falling in love with them on our vacations to the OBX in NC, it'd been a few years since we've had them. We really built them up as probably the best donuts we've ever had. So, we made the trek to Avalon with some family and OH MAN! They not only met but EXCEEDED expectations! This place is amazing. From the smell on the street to ordering and then obviously the donut itself. They are super fresh- made to order. There are lots of options to choose from. The service is wonderful and super friendly. I had the French toast donut and a blueberry frosted with coconut and raspberry frosting. Both were to die for and worth going back. Stopped in here on the recommendation of a co-worker. Donuts are made to order. The staff were polite and friendly and didn't become inpatient when I could decide if I wanted raspberry drizzle or vanilla jimmies on my chocolate icing. I went in for donuts. However a bonus was good piping hot coffee. The donuts of course were delicious. A word of caution. When you get your box of custom made donuts to the car and head for home, remember they are still going to be warm. If you have one on the way like I did, you run the risk of dripping gooey icing all over you and the car while driving along Dune Drive. read more

Not only were the donuts themselves the best to have ever graced my taste buds, but the general experience was far superior to anything your typical Dunkin' Donuts could offer. I tried Duck Donuts this morning on a recommendation from a friend. What an awesome place! The donuts are made to order, meaning you can pick from se desk toppings to make the donut your own. For the less creative (me), there is also a menu with suggestions for how to build your donut. I tried the chocolate zebra (chocolate frosting with vanilla drizzle) and the cinnamon bun (cinnamon and sugar with vanilla icing drizzle). Both were excellent but I think I liked the cinnamon bun the best. The place is very popular among Avalon visitors leading to a wait in getting your donut, but they work really quickly and it's worth the wait. read more

I called and said I was told something other than what I got and I was not happy and was hoping for someone to care. They didn't so I said I don't think I'll be back. They told me "ok" because apparently they don't care that a local was unhappy. On top of it when I called they said they were closed. It was 7pm on a Sunday and the eagles were in a playoff game and their website says they close at 8. This is ridiculous, what is wrong with people?? You are a local place and don't care that locals are not happy. Btw I have pictures of the pathetic looking sandwich.

They were worth every penny! The generosity of that to die for cream cheese icing was 5 stars! I like this store a lot. Actual bakeries seem to have fallen by the wayside-so I'm grateful that bread n cheese still remains. Cash only.
