I finally made my way to the Duck Donuts in Royal Palm Beach. I had been to the location in Boca Raton years ago. I had forgotten about their approach to donuts but overall it was a decent experience on my first visit to the Royal Palm location. The sunrise and maple bacon donuts were solid. How Duck Donuts does it is that they cook the donuts the same then do the glaze and toppings to order based on the flavor varietals they have. They didn't have the peanut butter one I originally wanted so I had to opt for plan be which was the sunrise, consisting of lemon glaze and raspberry drizzle. Not my first choice to go but it was alright. The maple bacon was decent. You can watch the servers prepare your order, which was cool. Location-wise, it's fairly open space with a few tables but it's more for ordering and picking up. But you can enjoy them at the establishment if there are tables available. I would be curious about their breakfast sandwiches since they make them with the donuts. Hopefully they have the peanut butter one next time. read more

I drove 35 mins away and they didn't even make it fresh hot I thought that was apart of their job it was cold don't get me wrong it's still yummy but I'm disappointed it's not the same as if it was fresh. They took my initial Google review down, instead of reaching out to me to try to rectify the situation. Oddly enough, I would've happily taken it down myself upon being reached out to by management. Now, I will continue to repost this and also post on yelp where reviews that can show a companies true business practice can't be taken down. We loved their donuts! We came here after lunch for a bit of sweet dessert. Luckily, they weren't very busy -- just a mom and daughter ahead of us. We browsed the menu and then ordered. You can order at the kiosk, but the gal wasn't busy so she took our order at the cash register. I got a maple bacon and a sand dollar. The donuts were warm and freshly baked. They added on the toppings. The maple glaze and a lot of bacon bits. Absolutely delicious. And the sand dollar had a vanilla glaze, grated coconut, and powdered sugar. Sweet and yummy. My husband got a limited special one -- a peach cobbler -- and a lemon and strawberry one. He was very happy with his choices, too. We know we will be back. Freshhhhhh donuts but very slow service. The concept of one check in/check out counter is difficult in a busy plaza. I am never disappointed in the freshness or the flavors but the service is lacking. When we ordered ahead of time for breakfast, advised what time it would be ready... husband got there and the place wasn't even open yet. Took 30 more minutes for someone to open the store then wait for the baker to come then cook the donuts. They need .... Better management and organization. read more

I've been meaning to try this place for a while, since it opened. We finally made it in here at about 5:30 pm. We were looking for something sweet after dinner. I had absolutely no idea that each donut was made to order. Nor did I expect them to be so fresh at that time of the evening. Makenna was super sweet and helped us with our selections with a smile on her face. Then I saw her hand dipping each donut and my mind was blown. I had no idea how they were created. you must eat these donuts in the store as soon as they come out of the fryer. Every batch is made fresh to order. Once you take them home they're no different than Dunkin' Donuts or any of the others. Eat one in the store though and it is crispy golden deliciousness. This was my first time visiting a Duck Donuts. A single donut is around $2.50 and I decided on a seasonal flavor, Thin Mint Crunch inspired by Girl Scout Cookie season. The donuts are made to order so you can reasonably expect a bit of wait but the time to get a single donut was excessive here. I think they are still trying to get the hang of everything. Every donut is hand dipped by a gloved hand. Inevitably the glaze gets on the glove leading to what must be a lot of wasted gloves. I wish there could be a more environmentally friendly way of dipping donuts with some kind of washable kitchen tool. At one point while waiting I contemplated leaving without my donut but in the end I hung in there. I hate to cry fowl but I can't say it was worth it. I did not care for the spongey texture of the donut or the flavor. It was not an enjoyable treat experience. If you are interested in checking out you Duck Donuts you can scan the QR code to sign up for a free donut but to my disappointment they won't give it you until the next day after you sign up for texts and emails. I recommend trying them out before you commit to an entire box. As for me, I'll stick to Krispy Kreme where you can also get hot donuts but much faster and in my opinion better tasting. read more

I ordered from uber eats and was looking forward to it after dinner but it was just disgusting. I'm not sure if I got a stale old batch but it had this nasty vegetable oil after taste, it tasted like carton with vegetable oil. The frosting was watery and was dripping every where and the donuts stuck to the box and broke when I tried to get one . read more

Been a customer since day one but won't be ordering from them anymore. Most of the time we place an order and give it more than enough time it is very disappointing to come to the store to find out your order has not been processed and still have to wait for another 15-20mins. Bathrooms are always dirty and their customer service it's not polite. read more

I lived in California and that's where I had my first duck donuts fell in love with them and moved back home to Florida when I saw the duck donuts sign I was filled with so much happiness these donuts taste even better than the ones in California. There wasn't a person there to greet you or answer questions. You walk up to a self ordering kiosk and place your order. Not sure if that's intentional. Ok, first thing first "yes" the donuts are good. "Very good" but something just don't understand. We placed an order of a half dozen donuts and two of the donuts were supposed to be chocolate donuts covered with chocolate icing but when we got our order at the counter we notice there was no chocolate donuts, and they put chocolate icing on the regular donuts. Why not just tell us that you're out of chocolate donuts when we placed our order? Simple right? To me that's just being lazy and really that's unacceptable. read more

I am thrilled to finally have a Duck Donuts location near me. Always warm, fresh and made-to-order cake-style donuts. They get dipped, topped and drizzled exactly the way you'd like it. You can watch them get prepared through a glass and conveniently has a little step so the little ones can see too. All the associates provided friendly service especially one of the owners, Spencer. It was a pleasure to meet him. He seems like such a nice, welcoming guy and he is really excited to bring Duck Donuts to our area. I wish him and his business partner tons of success. decided to download yelp again to leave this review. been to duck donuts in mechanicsburg PA so i was expecting some really good donuts and drinks. Turns out i was wrong, ordered 2 donuts (blueberry lemonade and raspberry fluff) and 2 frappes (mocha and caramel) literally undrinkable, came out melted and sour with barely any whipped cream. After about 10 minutes they finally acknowledged us and started making our donuts so we waited again for 5 minutes. Other people got their donuts before us and after we finally got our donuts they were just covered with frosting that it just stuck to the box and they were just okay. Dont think i'll be coming here again until they train their workers more. read more

I went for the first time. Took a bit to get my order in. Once in, it took forever to get my order made. I only ordered a chocolate iced donut and the cinnamon bun donut. Seemed like they were slowly making other orders. No managers in sight, just kids operating the store so there is no organization in tasks, service is slow and scattered. While preparing donuts one kid dropped something on the floor, picked up and placed it on the counter and was proceeding to make more donuts with the same gloves. I politely stopped him and asked him to please change his gloves, he just picked up something off the floor. The donuts were tasty though. But I likely won't be back unless the service improves dramatically. They need someone there keeping the kids in check and being more efficient. read more

Went this morning...place was empty..says donuts are made to order but we're sitting on the counter in a spinning machine keeping them warm...tasted like they were made yesterday and were lukewarm...toppings also tasted old. Went there on 1/25. Smell was overwhelmingly gross. Like something died...really really bad smell. You should have seen all the new customers faces as they walked in and where hit with that smell. Then we noticed the donuts where sitting in a large white plastic bin at the end of the conveyor at the end of the fryer. Look like they had been there for many hours - there were dozens of them just sitting out. Then when looking at them closer they were clearly cooked in old oil and where dark brown in color. Then we noticed a 16 year old kid was trying to fix the donut making machine with a screwdriver. He did not know what he was doing and was clearly in over his head. No manger in site - run by kids. Old oil, bad smells, buckets under machines to catch drippings...etc.... so disappointed. Good concept but clearly major owner/management issues. This place will be gone soon. First off, I love Duck Donuts. I've always gone to the original and lived in NC so it was a frequent stop of mine. I was very excited for it to be near me in Florida. However, I placed an order in store and it took them 15min to tell me their donuts weren't ready and it would be 3 more min, while I could see they were still stirring dough. At the 20min mark I said never mind and ask for a refund, which then took an extra 10min for them to figure out. So 30min later I left without donuts and a headache. Hopefully this gets sorted because I'm a big fan but it will be a while before I go back. And let me also say, I had my 5 year old daughter with me who was sorely disappointed she didn't get the donut I promised her. read more
