Enzo's Cafe & Bakery was a fantastic breakfast stop, and we'll definitely be back. The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The ambiance was quaint and inviting. The bakery case is incredible, with a huge selection of pastries, cakes, and other sweet treats that make it hard to decide what to order. Seating is a bit limited both inside and outside, so I could see it filling up quickly during busy times. For breakfast, we started with the bacon, egg, and cheese croissants, and they were outstanding. The croissants were buttery, flaky, and had just a subtle hint of sweetness that made them even better. I paired mine with a perfectly made cortadito, which was the ideal complement to breakfast. Even though we were already full, we couldn't leave without trying dessert. We ordered a slice of cake that was a combination of flan and tres leches (I wish I could remember the name). It was so rich, creamy, and delicious that I had to force myself to share. After seeing all the Latin-style sandwiches coming out of the kitchen, I already know what I'm ordering on my next visit. Enzo's is a cute, stand-alone bakery and coffee shop with a parking lot that fits 14 cars and it was packed on a Sunday morning when we went. We waited a bit and were able to get a parking space. Once inside, the first thing you see are the cases of amazing baked goods. They had a really good selection of mini pastries and I chose a chocolate eclair. The pastry was light and airy, a perfect contrast to the sweet cream filling and chocolate topping. My husband got the elephant's ear, which he said was light and flaky. We each got bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches, mine on a fabulous, sweet, and large croissant. Oh, so good! The egg was thin and folded, just enough crispy bacon, and a slice of white American cheese. I was a big fan of this sandwich! My husband had his on Cuban bread, and the sandwich was grilled. He loved it! They also do great coffee drinks! I give them an A+ for offering all their coffee drinks in decaf. I had a cafe con leche, which was rich and smooth. My husband had an iced cappuccino, which I have to get next time. They topped the drink with a pike of whipped cream. He drank every "last tasty bit," as he described it. Negligence, if there is something that makes me angry is people that have complete disregard for the well being of others. Specially if they are in the food industry. At Enzo's Café I went to buy some pastries. I get anaphylactic reaction to coconut. I asked please point to food with no coconut, to my surprise they have a black forest cake which supposedly had no coconut. I bought some, and it does have coconut, I called them and they insisted it does not have coconut. All of us could see on the bottom coconut. When I called to let then know it has coconut, they started arguing to the point of rudeness. As a person that has anaphylactic allergies, I take food very serious, at Enzo's they should feel the same and protect their customers and not be negligent. Staff was super friendly and helpful with helping us narrow down our choice. Which brings me to her recommendation--The Chivito. Thin-sliced steak, gooey egg, bacon, cheese, tomato...all perfectly balanced. The bread, which seemed homemade, was perfectly soft with a slight crust. 10/10 sandwich. The pascualina, little flaky spinach pastry, was also amazing. 10/10 snack. The only thing we didn't like was the potato salad which was a little too tangy and over mayoed. This business is well worth updating. Recently, I have become obsessed with their tunafish sandwich. Not even sure why I first ordered it at the store, where it comes on a baguette with lettuce and tomato, but I swear this is a perfectly balanced sandwich and definitely the best tunafish salad I have had in years. Since then, I have ordered this sandwich for lunch multiple times through DoorDash, where a Tuna Croissant is offered- I write in the notes that I would like it on a baguette, and they add on a charge for this to make it the same as the store price (the baguette is definitely larger than the croissant). My husband orders the Pan con Bistec which hit his South American palate perfectly. Best yet, my children LOVE both the beef and chicken empanadas, which is wildly convenient since I can barely get them to eat non-sweet items on the regular. Yet they beg for the large, flaky, presumably non-spicy, and apparently delicious empanadas from Enzo's (I wouldn't know since they are gone before I can snag a bite!). Don't leave this store without trying them. The spinach one is also delicious, I can officially attest. I have also ordered many of the other items on their delivery ordering menu: the chocolate mousse, the flan, the mango and strawberry shakes. All delicious. What I am describing is just the tip of the iceberg. Enzo's makes their own coffee, their own pasta handmade fresh daily, and their breads are made on site. I do not get this place being 5 stars and on Yelp's top places to eat. The menu is all over the place and has no specialized/consistent food in a specific category. We ordered pizza and a grilled chicken sandwich. The pizza was complete trash. I would have instead eaten Little Ceasers Pizza over this place. We also ordered desserts, and this could have been skipped. I did come out of my way to eat here, and to say that disappointment was beyond is beyond disappointing. LOVE IT I first only knew this spot by the slow down in traffic that is caused by people trying to get/out into the small parking lot. The croissant was flaky but not overly buttery and the tuna salad just melted into all the pockets of the croissant. I was covered with the flaky goodness when I was done. I enjoyed a low key breakfast at Enzo's with my parents who were game to try a place on my bookmarks list. The parking lot is small and filled up quickly, but it's always a good sign when you see a lot of people coming and going. Their coffee is delicious, even when just ordered black. I had the croissant Enzo, mom ordered the Cubano, and dad had steak and eggs. My croissant was enormous and oh so flaky, with a slight hint of sweet from the honey that was brushed on top for shine. It gave my sandwich just the right amount of sweet to savory ratio. The cubano was the real winner though. When made well, the mix of meats with the mustard, pickles and cheese takes this simple sandwich to another level, and Enzo's does a great job. The food is reasonably priced and you can't leave the cafe without taking a few pastries home when they are calling out to you from behind the displays.
