We've been barber hopping for the past two months and it has not been the best experience. I really wanted to make sure my toddler had a pleasant experience at the barbershop. Unfortunately we've had the trap barbers, I won't go into detail. He's walked out the shop looking like he didn't even get a haircut. And I've been scammed on StyleSeat by Someone who had hacked into a barber's profile. I decided to try yelp since I was striking out on StyleSeat. Troy was beyond amazing! I called that morning to find out if they even serviced four--year-olds. He answered. He said they serviced 4 yr olds He said he had same day availability . In my haste I booked the appointment online but did not pay attention to the barber who I selected. As luck would have it, I was in a fender bender down the street from the barbershop 30 minutes before the appointment so I called to cancel due to the fact i was going to be late waiting on the police. Troy answered and mentions that I had not booked with him but the other barber allowed me to cancel. Troy actually drove to meet me at the accident site because he said he was heading in my direction. He told me that once he was done running an errand he would still give my son a haircut. I was nervous. So many people had screwed up cutting this little boys hair. Not Troy!! He was patient and even danced to my son singing Baby Shark while he was in the chair. He pulled up a chair and let me sit close by when most barbers wave you off to the waiting area. We will definitely be back! Glad to have found a convenient, family friendly barber shop!

And so I called and emailed and texted but I didn't get a response so I thought, well maybe they were great and maybe now they moved on or something I don't know I was kind of thinking all kinds of thoughts and I wrote them because they had something listed on next door neighbor so I reached out that way and thought well this probably isn't going anywhere and it's a waste of time. But actually I heard from Steven and his colleague and they were really apologetic and I'm making an appointment to go there. Because I think they're the only ones who can give me what I want they understand they keep upgrading and learning new styles of cutting hair not just like I got some scissors I'm going to put a bowl on your head and cut your hair and that's all I know how to do. Just because you go to the beauty college you have to keep up your skills just like a lawyer does just like a chef does you have to keep learning. No one wants that bowl on your head cut. It was just ok, but to pay $76 for a men's haircut (no shampoo or product was put in my hair) I expected more. I went in, the barber introduced themselves, asked what I wanted, so I explained. They then sprayed my hair wet with a water bottle, cut my hair, and send me on my merry way. No shampoo. No blowdry/styling. It was the bare minimum. I will NEVER go back there--such a rip off. Also, it wasn't even a scissor cut. 80% of the hair cut was done with clippers. So disappointed.

Porkchops has a fully stocked bar and offers a complimentary drink- definitely a win. His only complaint is that the chairs do not face the mirror so your haircut is a surprise for you in the end. Luckily, the haircut turned out well--- they understood his very specific instructions of "I want one haircut please." Of note, the mens haircut is $35.
