(warning: long and detailed)! - The expectations the staff holds for eachother is high, and it is all to ensure that your pet(s) are safe. After the first couple days of working I was sat down and was told about the concerns they had. I took the constructive criticism and not only ran with it, but I took it to heart. Everyone here has the same priority: the care and well-being of the dogs (and cats!). I appreciated the fact that the manager and kennel supervisor made sure I was doing the job the way it was supposed to be done, in order for the dogs to stay safe. - Our dogs are let out ATLEAST four times a day and they are given cold fresh water (with new bowls!) every single morning; water bowls are always kept full. Every single comment/specification/concern an owner has towards any single pet is written on the pet's "Kennel Card" that is placed in the front of the run. For example, if you only feed PM, we will too! If you separate your dogs for feeding time, so will we! We also take care of any medication your dog has, and accommodate any special needs. Any dog that decides to use the bathroom in their run is *immediately* put into a clean one, with water, until their original run is rinsed, foamed, scrubbed, rinsed, squeegeed and towel dried (in that order). They are then placed back inside with clean blankets while their personal items are washed! And yes, no matter how many dogs do this or how many times, we repeat the same process. Cleaning a run in this way is also done after *every* single dog comes and goes. If your dog was in this run for a week, it will be cleaned (even if it was cleaned 3 times already) after you pick him/her up so that the next dog to use the run is safe from any possible illnesses. All of the dogs and cats that come through our doors, are required to show proof of CURRENT and UP-TO-DATE vaccinations in order to keep your babies safe. - As for attitude, we treat everyone with kindness and smiles, and that includes your pets too! Up front is our reception area, where you can find "the littles" (if there are any) behind the counter; these are the small dogs that are either in daycare or boarding. Because of their size, they are only ever socialized with bigger dogs IF they are being under 100% supervision- so no little ones get overwhelmed or hurt. The two areas you see to the right of our computer are daycare play areas- both have outside access. On one of the reviews someone mentioned lack of supervision, but quite honestly we are always watching and listening. Even the slightest sound of unfriendly communication between the dogs is immediately attended to. If a dog relieves itself inside, someone will walk in there with the group [of dogs] to pick up and mop! Daycare dogs are also fence huggers when someone (such as myself) makes a pit-stop to give them some extra loving! ;) In short, every dog or cat that is with us is treated like they are our own. Honestly it would be super common to walk in and hear someone baby-talking your pooch! We want the four-legged family members to be happy, and you as well. Yards Mutts is the place to be. We take our dog Otis here a couple of times of week for some…read moreplaying and making friends. We have a puppy and two older dogs who love the puppy but so not want to play as much as the puppy. Here Otis can run free with friends and play as much as he wants under the watchful eyes of the staff. He comes home happy and exhausted and wanting to go back. The staff here is awesome. They love animals and they get the love back. They take pictures and videos of the day and you get a report card about your pet for the day. We love it cause we like to know he is happy and doing well when away from us. They have inside and outside play. They have toys and obstacles and even a pool. Everything your dog could want they have here. If you don't wanna leave your dog in daycare you can sign up for the dog park and play with your dogs and any others in a secure dog parks. I typically place my dog once a week in daycare and have her nails trimmed once a month. I feel safe and trust leaving my dog at Yard Mutts. All the dogs there are evaluated for behavior in order to maintain a safe environment. Each time I receive via email a report card of my dogs behavior and which dogs she has interacted with a long with a few photos. I would recommend this place 100%.

I found them on Yelp and when I asked our vet for a boarding recommendation, they mentioned The Pet Resorts. I called to schedule my dog's "vacation." They took down all of my information and sent me an email with everything we agreed upon, including a furminator bath and groom. The staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. They also seemed very knowledgeable. I received an email and phone call reminder of our dog's stay with them. They suggested that I fill out the new customer packet prior to arriving. However, I had printer issues and was not able to. They printed it for me when I arrived and I filled it out in their spacious lobby. It was lengthy and thorough. Their nightly rate of $40 per dog is for their Standard Runs, $52 per dog for their Pet Suites. Add $5 per night per dog during Holiday periods. Half day fee for pickups after 1 PM. Pick-up and drop off anytime during their business hours. When I picked up my fur baby, he looked so good! Probably the best groom he's ever gotten. We were very impressed. They also gave me a report card that accurately described his personality. He was definitely tired when he got home. The Pet Resorts board cats as well. They offer a pet taxi to pick up and drop off your pet for an additional charge. We will continue to use TPR for our dog's future vacations.
