Went to pick up the title for my boat trailer, the notary was late, Andy literally ran down the road to get the notary signature so I could get to the motor vehicle administration, in Frederick, on time! 2. My boat conked out in the middle of Lake Marburg. I called F&S and they talked me through troubleshooting the motor. That didn't work so Bob came out, hooked up my boat to his boat, towed me to shore, put my boat on my trailer, called his staff too alert them of me coming in for emergency service, pulled in the lot and before I could even get out of the car people were on the back of the boat trying to fix it. 3. Many times I have asked if I needed something that was suggested that I should purchase. Bob has said that I can sell you that but you don't need it! THEY ARE HONEST PEOPLE!!! 4. It took several months to have the boat built to my specs, but I was told that right up front. It took a month longer than they thought, but it was of no fault of F&S. Andy kept me informed. Worked up a quote and kept it updated as I continued to add extras. As soon as my boat hit their lot, Andy sent pictures. They started the installs immediately. Sent me short videos of any questions that arose. I made a decision on one extra, then after they installed it, I changed my mind and asked for a change. Andy happily made the change for me without drama. Andy is leaving at 4am Thursday morning to meet me half way and put it on the water with me. Who does this? Andy at F&S does. Couldn't be more knowledgeable and friendlier. I wish I lived closer to them, because no one would ever touch my boat other then them. Drew is their installer, and I just love his work. On a Saturday, after going to all the big name RV dealers to no avail and calling a bunch of Mobile RV Repair Services, Jon was the standout and our savior - such a hard worker, a man of his word and best of all an outstanding mechanic and repair superstar. I am sure they've been gone through by the mechanics and are in tip top shape but I am not sure if that justifies the 2-3X increase over the normal price.

I will say the little patio area overlooking the water was very pretty, with a few different levels, gorgeous flower beds and an oversize fire pit which was greatly appreciated on this rainy day. The event tent, which I'm assuming is up year round, was questionable and would not have been my first choice. Although they (assuming the marina) made an attempt to warm it up with space heaters they continously kept unzipping the back or side vinyl and letting cold air in. The chairs/tables were flimsy for an event and placed too close together. It was decorated tastfully but that was my friends doing and the food was catered by another business. The wedding itself was held outside and thankfully I planned ahead and brought a towel because no one at the marina thought to wipe down the (very) wet plastic folding chairs. Staff was nice, but I don't know who worked for whom or who was just family helping out. The hardscaping is stone or slate, which had some steps and some irregularity. It was slippy when wet and I was nervous walking on it in heels. The inside of the building was quite nice, modern, although a bit choppy in configuration. While I understand because of the space I saw that it would have been small for her wedding, as an event space in general it would be a better option. They also had a bathroom "RV" beside the tent (with slippy, slotted, metal steps to boot) but for fear of falling I went inside. Knowing what she paid I would have expected ALOT more at that price point, especially since parking wasn't the greatest, as it was limited (they did provide a golf cart shuttle) and the lot was gravel. It is however right on the water with a boat ramp, but you're overlooking the Susquehanna which isn't very scenic. Maybe as a marina they do a great job but for an event space I'd say pretty but impractical.

After explaining the reason for my call I could hear the phone operator speaking to someone in the background saying "there's a guy looking for free information" which I wasn't, to whom ever she was speaking to. I was just trying to locate a lower for a good customer. They didn't even take the engine s.n. or hull i.d. before blowing me off. I run a vet owned and operated business and the guy looking for the lower is a vet as well, not that that should make a difference, but we tend to stick together whether we are treated well or poorly and word gets around. I'm more than happy to spread the experience I had dealing with Robbins to anyone that will listen.
