Bill was not transparent and cost was so high that in hindsight, we decided to have a second company offer a quote. It was half of what Bonfe charged. We then asked Bonfe to reduce our cost because 1) we were members of their little club, and 2) even the plumber doing the work thought it was an overcharge, and didn't even make us pay the full amount that day. End result was an unpaid bill with Bonfe that the plumbing manager said "We could definitely work something out" but then didn't return calls and kept the billing department coming at us for the full amount. I spent about a month playing phone tag, and genuinely believing they were going to work with us, and that the communication between the two parts of the company had broken down. In reality, I think the plumbing manager was gaslighting me into thinking they would cut us a break, running down the clock until they could send collections for the unpaid bill. Who does that? If you're not going to throw us a bone, just admit it so we can move on. I seriously question the ethics of this company. This experience was unpleasant and downright cruel.
