I came to Dudum Chiropractic because of severe pain across right leg from lower back to ankle. Dr. Dudum accepted me for evaluation and after few physical tests scheduled for me MRI for next day. I did MRI and the same day visit office again for review and options to treat the problem. Based on MRI report and his assessments Dr. Dudum suggested spinal decompression procedure. It worked well for me. After ~8 sessions the pain substantially reduced and after ~14 sessions faded away. Remaining sessions were step by step improvements for my back overall and gradually restored all flexibility. Now I am back on track with regular walk around community and daily 30-minutes exercises. My 17yr old daughter was diagnosed with 3 herniated discs and offered a Level 3 Laminectomy and Disectomy as the only treatment by Chief Neuro Surgeon at Kaiser. I saw Dr James Dudums commercial on u-tube and decided to take my daughter to Dudum Chiropractic in Walnut Creek for 36 sessions (3 times per week) of Spinal Decompression treatments. Dr Dudum didn't provide any services! His staff/assistant provided treatment, not the doc. Dr Dudum adjusted my daughters back twice, when she was in extreme pain after the treatment. The Chief Neurologist advised me that surgery was the only option, however, as a mother, I opted for alternative treatment. After the 36 treatment sessions (which I paid for in cash) my child didn't feel any better. She didn't heal. She was never able to have a pain free day. The Spinal Decompression was Ineffective. Dr Dudum had promised he will order follow-up x-rays half way through the treatment; He didn't. I had the x-rays done by the Neuro Surgeon who confirmed by MRI, no changes were made after the Spinal Decompression treatments. Dr. Dudum NEVER returned any of my phone calls, after I submitted the x-ray results to him via email and phone. My daughter experienced more pain and spent more days in bed then she did prior to receiving treatment by Dr Dudums staff. Eventually, My child did receive the surgery 6 months ago, by the Chief Neurologist and his team. Recovery was fast; Approximately 2-3 months. I wish we never waited and fell for false advertisement. I wish I saved my money and took a trip to celebrate my daughters recovery instead of giving it to a clinic that took advantage of a mother and her ill child at such a vulnerable stage in our lives. I will NOT advice anyone to go to this clinic. The staff was VERY pleasant but NOBODY has responded to my messages (email and voicemails) since I submitted Neurosurgeons MRI results and asked for follow up phone call from Dr Dudum. I wasted my time, money and gas. ALmost lost my job taking my child to treatment three times per week from Castro Valley to Walnut Creek. I wish we had the surgery sooner and didn't fall for false advertisement/U-tube commercial. Hope this helps someone. read more

I was going to wait to review after my sessions. But I decided after 3 sessions, it was time to write a review. I highly recommend this place. I am not sure why people are saying the staff are rude is some review, but since day 1, I have not seen that. They have all been very nice. Always smiling. Making sure I'm doing OK. Dr Tong took the xrays and shows me everything thoroughly, and explained to me what he can do to help my straighten my back and posture. The longest I've waited during my appointment to be called in the room was maybe about 5 mins after I arrived. They value your time. I am writing the review now because I hunched so much and it was getting worse, to where it felt like it was normal. Just after 3 session including the 1st being the examcwith Dr Tong, I feel like if I hunch over, my body feels wierd. And when I stand up straight, it's starting to feel like it's normal. When I'm sitting the hunching was worse, but now when I sit, I feel like I'm keeping my back straighter without even trying. Yes after each session there has been soreness, but that is normal, it goes away after a day or 2. Overall my experience is amazing, this place deserves more than 5 stars. I have been seeing Dr. Dudum for about 2 months for spinal decompression therapy 2-3x a week. I came to him with 3 bulged discs at L3, L4, and L5 as well as a pars defect and some other things going on with my low back. As an otherwise healthy and fit 38 year old, I couldn't sit, I couldn't stand, I couldn't put my shoes on, I couldn't pick up my little girls, I was in so much pain I was on the floor throwing up at times. Physical therapy wasn't working, cortisone injections didn't work either and so I decided to give this a try (and trust me, I was as skeptical as anyone).
