We were there for the wings anyway, as RI Food Fights brought us here. We got the Maple Bacon Bourbon wings, a side of fries and the giant pretzel The wings were good! Not super crispy but the glaze coated them well and clung to the wing nicely. The menu said they were smoked before they were fried, but outside of the generous amount of bacon bits that were part of the glaze, I didn't get much smoke in the meat itself. Otherwise, we liked the glaze. The fries are the more expensive, clear coat kind that hold their crisp longer, which I appreciate. They were great plain or with ketchup. The pretzel was warm and perfectly soft. The beer cheese that came with it was excellent. And the blue cheese dressing was as well that we got with the wings. It had a great blue cheese flavor without giant chunks of cheese. They also offer pizza and a number of handhelds that all looked interesting, so I'll have to come back soon when the full kitchen is open!

The pit mac and cheese was a miss for us. $16.50. we didn't add any toppings to it since the backyard platter was more than enough and sadly, for the price, we were let down. It felt overpriced for what was presented considering the dish itself was shallow and there wasn't anything that stood out. It had a strong almost artificial scent, but a much more mild flavor. It wasn't too sweet and had notes of cinnamon - very unique and drinkable, although I don't think I'd need more than one. I was surprised and pleased to see they have a food menu. There's a pretty big parking lot but it's very uneven and filled with pot holes, and people park a little...erm...creatively - you've been warned. On weekends I've seen the main and overflow lot fill up, and I couldn't even find street parking, so had to go elsewhere - plan accordingly. The tap room is big and has nice bathrooms that are always clean. The main seating option are long picnic table benches - my back personally cannot do a backless seat for more than an hour without being in pain, so take that into consideration. It's also kind of awkward to swing your legs into the seat every time you have to get up, especially if it's full and you're in the middle. I'd love this place so much more if it just got normal tables and individual chairs with backs! My favorite thing about this brewery is that it is dog friendly and there are usually multiple gorgeous furry faces here to oggle over.
