What's not to luv about Deadbeats ... Deadbeats is a welcoming, divey, horror-themed, neighborhood bar with: - Inexpensive drinks - Amazing bartenders - Friendly patrons/regulars - Commitment to community! Deadbeats constantly supports local artists & performers with themed shows, drawing nights, drag performances, & other funky & unexpected events. This building once hosted an iconic & well-loved dive bar, & instead of trying to fill those shoes, Deadbeats put on a totally different pair of shoes entirely. They wear them perfectly. Finally & maybe most importantly, Deadbeats is a very queer safe bar. 6/5 stars.

Nestled away in a little neighborhood a few blocks behind Federal Hill is Deadbeats. And this place way anything but dead! It was a rainy Saturday night. The place was hopping! I immediately was won over by the pinball machines (free!) and funky art as well as the 80's horror movie references like Slimer hanging from the ceiling. But more importantly the Maitland's from Beetlejuice as they are decked out to scare Lydia hanging right over the bar was the real winner here besides for Jesus drinking a Pabst. Love it! (Oh and the Lisa Frank ladies room was a good touch.) It was an eclectic crowd. Looks and feels like everyone is welcome. It is loud and I heard they were selling pizza's in the back. I was just too interested in pinball!

Where do I start? This isn't just one of the best bars in Providence, it's one of the best in the country. The owners Jeff and Courtney filled the location of the old E&O Tap with horror memorabilia and pinball machines while maintaining some of the iconic decor that drew both them and many patrons to the location for so many years. Making it their own, they face lifted the bathrooms and made them a destination for mirror selfies between some of the best drinks around. The staff not only includes the owners themselves but a dynamic mix of veteran staff like Wayne, Kat, and Marissa with newer Brandon and Ryan among others becoming fast favorites of many. This place feels welcoming from the first step through the doors and persists through every interaction with its patrons and staff. Diversity matters in this place and all are welcome. Come for the horror movies on the big screen tv, the amazing local musical artists and outdoor movie screenings and stay for the pizza, burgers and grilled cheese pop ups. This place is a home away from home for so many in Providence. Come see for your self why this place gets all the love, you won't regret it!

HIDDEN GEM is an understatement! $7 cocktails, 2 for $6 hot dogs, Free Freddy Krueger pinball, Horror movies on the projector all night, clientele full of fellow horror heads, just so much beautiful energy in a tiny little dive bar.

    Guava margarita 10/10

Been in several times. The servers are always fast and the appropriate level of attitude. The decor is great! Drink options are plentiful! Overall not so divy local bar.

My go to "dive bar" in town, but they're anything but. Always funny to see what's playing for the movie feature

If you're old like me and remember the old E&O, this is a new bar in the same spot. It has an upscale dive bar feel with a fresh coat of paint, better lighting, and a horror theme. I can already see this becoming a neighborhood favorite. There are B-rated horror movies on screen over the bar, and a couple of monster pinball machines on the side. The tunes are from a serve-yourself jukebox, but if you choose to put in some music, I would suggest you stick with goth/punk/industrial/metal/new wave. If you pop on some Dave Matthews band, your keister will probably get booted out of the bar and rightfully so. On Thursdays, weather permitting, they screen horror movies outdoors and have a food truck. While I was sad to see the end of E&O, I'm glad the new space is giving off similar vibes and welcoming the same crowd.

The Deadbeats' sign is what enticed me to come check out the place. The vibe inside matches the unique logo too. Funky decor thoughtfully placed in a very small bar. When I sat at the bar the owner was very friendly and let me taste test some of the new beer he was ordering. Piranhas was playing on the big tv and some good drinks were served.

a bar with a lot of alcohol

Great bar with an amazing beer selection. The owners are very down to earth and great to talk with. The bartenders are some of the best in the business. If you're a fan of horror, you will absolutely love the decor of this dive bar.
