When you step into Our Spot, that's exactly how it feels. Like you're walking into your favorite neighborhood bar to watch the Pat's game and enjoy a couple of beers. There's pop culture references papered all over the walls, an old school wooden bar and a small dining room that could double as an intimate event space Our bartender was super nice, he let us know what was available to order since the full kitchen wasn't open when we went. We were there for the wings anyway, as RI Food Fights brought us here. We got the Maple Bacon Bourbon wings, a side of fries and the giant pretzel The wings were good! Not super crispy but the glaze coated them well and clung to the wing nicely. The menu said they were smoked before they were fried, but outside of the generous amount of bacon bits that were part of the glaze, I didn't get much smoke in the meat itself. Otherwise, we liked the glaze. The fries are the more expensive, clear coat kind that hold their crisp longer, which I appreciate. They were great plain or with ketchup. The pretzel was warm and perfectly soft. The beer cheese that came with it was excellent. And the blue cheese dressing was as well that we got with the wings. It had a great blue cheese flavor without giant chunks of cheese. They also offer pizza and a number of handhelds that all looked interesting, so I'll have to come back soon when the full kitchen is open! read more

Enter a dimly lit atmosphere that screams a public watering hole. This is definitely a neighborhood grill and bar. The service A++++ ....The owner was the server and bartender. A working owner - I love it - and the joy and pride was very evident. The menu is extensive - serving burgers and salads - and entrees that are very different and appealing. The apps offered were also such good options that the appeal makes you want to come back. I ordered the potato kegs - which were good - could have been a little crispier but the taste was there. For my entree I ordered the spinach parm crusted chicken and it actually was delicious. It was a nice chicken breast topped with spinach dip and mozzarella - served with a delicious medley of mush - onions and peppers and mash potatoes. The mash potatoes were definitely homemade. I do wish there was a gravy to top them however really not needed but it would be a great accompaniment. Overall - and I mean it- 4.5 stars !! We were traveling around Pawtucket and wanted to get some lunch. We arrived around 2pm and it was pretty empty but we were met by a friendly bartender. We ordered the Steak and cheese sandwich, BYOB burger and the Chicken Parm sandwich. Everything was delicious and the service very attentive. read more

The best thing going for this place was the vibe. I really liked the small space; it gave it an intimate feel. I found it funny when the hostess asked if we wanted to sit in the lounge or the dining room when the two spaces were practically on top of each other. Maybe you couldn't see the entertainment from the bar area/dining room, but you could still hear it! You were just more spread out. But I liked having the option. The entertainment itself, well- it looked like they were having fun and I can appreciate that. The food was alright. I had the grilled cheese chicken pesto sandwich with sweet potato fries. I think if the sandwich had a tomato-or I asked for one- it would've been perfect. My friend liked her fried chicken sandwich. I liked their other side offerings; glazed carrots?? Who's offering that? I love that! My drink was strong, do with that what you will. And the prices were really good, like really good. As for service, the waitresses (and manager I presume) checked on us constantly. Like every two minutes while we were eating. They cleared out plates right away too. But we waited for around an hour and they never came around with the check. Honestly, it didn't bother me. We just went up to a host stand and paid there. Maybe we just missed something, but I didn't mind not feeling rushed at the end as I enjoyed a conversation with my friend. Overall, I think this is a great addition to Newport Avenue! OK, so this place is great, but the lady working the front door is a gem. She needs to be protected with all your resources! She is just so friendly and makes up for anything that you lack in service or food or whatever. That being said, the food was amazing. You can tell the chef really cares about creating the menu with innovative, yet approachable items. We had a PB&J burger that was unexpectedly amazing. The clam chowder was probably the best I've had anywhere. It should be on the regular menu. The wings were also really great! There is so much seating in the dining room, at the large bar, and on the patio. There is an adorable spiral staircase that leads to the rooftop patio. I'm looking forward to coming back. read more

The place is small but nice. We usually go once a month to support a band that has distant family members in it. If it's not busy , the three people can handle the service. The last time I was there, it was very busy and we ordered drinks and food. It took 45 minutes to get the drinks and 3 out of 4 of us got our food after over an hour. The fourth person never got the food that was ordered. Unfortunately after frequenting this establishment for a few years, and the billing and ordering mistakes, I'll pass in the future. read more

The place itself looks cool but the inside is muggy and hot. Hostess was amazing and super sweet. Waitress did not check in on us once. My cosmo was absolutely horrid. It was syrupy and really thick. I didn't even get a chance to say anything to the waitress because she never came back over, the hostess took over while she took other tables. Nachos were cold, and our entrees didn't come out until people who got here before us got their food. My entree was wrong so they had to take it back and remake it. I stopped at this place and did not expect loving it so much. The service is amazing and the food was great. They bartender Nikki took pride in her ingredients as I watched her meticulously and very cleanly prep garnishes for drinks. I had an espresso Martini which was one of the best I had. Then ate the shrimp scampi which had an abundance amount of shrimp and was very flavorful. They have a top deck which you can dine outside and very spacious restaurant. This place is SO great! We were traveling and happened to come across it. Food, drinks, and atmosphere were amazing! The "garlic chicken" had a great sauce and everyone in our party loved the beef/cheese egg rolls with a great dipping sauce. Owner Nikki is wonderful and makes incredible cocktails of her own design. A group of us visit this place every Tuesday after pickleball. They always have trivia, which is fun. Nikki comes over with our drinks in hand and knows exactly what we want. Our mozzarella sticks are already cooking, and she goes around the table to confirm our food order. We pretty much order the same thing weekly. The food is great! We also went to the doggie event she had upstairs. Nikki is a doggie lover. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for good food and great service. after seeing ads in the breeze and reading reviews of the food on Yelp, we were looking forward to our first visit to "our spot".we went in on a Wednesday at 4.30.there were people sitting at the bar and 1 table had 2 people at it. it looked empty.we were told to sit anywhere we wanted. a person came over after 5 minutes, gave us menus and took the drink order. the beer came in 5 minutes. we ordered an app and said we wanted more time with the menu. time went by .... we were seated in direct view of the bar (and the bartender) the waiter never came back to our table.after 40 minutes with nobody checking on us (and no app delivered to the table) we put ten dollars on the table and left. as we walked out the door somebody from the bar called out "have a good night!" we will not be going back to try "our spot bar and grill" again. read more

Love this place. Recently moved from Boston to the area and this is easily my favorite "spot." Staff are amazing, have been mostly on Sundays with Rebecca and Nikki working. Great bartenders and such a welcoming vibe at the bar in general. The food and drinks are outstanding. The one star has nothing to do with Nikky who was not there either of the evenings that I will discuss. We have worked with her in the past and she is the most professional, humorous, and engaging person you would want to work with at any establishment. However, there have been two issues at Our Spot that have overshadowed all the other visits. The most recent episode occurred 2/12/25. My family and I went to Our Spot as we do most Wednesdays. There have been inconsistent bartender/servers for a couple of months and tonight was no different but the night started off well. The server didn't identify herself but took our drink orders and our meal. She came back with the drinks and the spinach appetizer soon followed. It is always good. After a while we needed new drinks and she was able to come and take the two that needed refilling. Quite a while later, one of us went to the bar to ask if we could just grab our drinks. The bartender/server handed us two drinks of which only one was what we needed. She indicated that she would be at the table shortly with the other. Ten minutes later, no drink. A second time someone went to the bar asking if we could just run the drink to the table ourself. Once again we were told it was on its way. Another ten minutes and a third time someone went up. This time the person was told that the drink was "right here" even though the person saw the bartender pour it as she noticed our table representative walk to the bar. The bartender refused to give it to the person from our table and was angry that we were at the bar again even though we were now going on almost twenty to thirty minutes waiting for a foolish diet coke. We waited again. It never came. We decided to leave and as we were leaving the bartender finally brought over the now watered down diet cokes. She asked if we were leaving. When we said we were she replied "YES!" and told us we were the rudest people she had ever worked with although she couldn't give us an example when asked why. There were no other patrons in the dining room and except for the people at the bar, there was one table in the bar area. When we approached the door, two gentlemen began saying "see you later" and "have a good night". They were unknown to us so perhaps the bartender/server, again she never identified herself to us by name, may have indicated to others that we were troublesome, and those patrons felt they must be protective. As my seventy-year-old wife, YES 70, left the establishment the bartender actually yelled something to my wife who again asked what we had done to offend her to which the bartender raised her voice and yelled "GET OUT!" My wife stated that she was under no obligation to leave unless it was her choice upon which the bartender slammed something down on the bar and raced toward the door. My wife, fearing that the bartender had actually lost control, firmly stated "don't you touch me." The bartender replied I'm just going to hold the door while you leave. My wife again indicated that she had no intention of leaving under threat to which the bartender retreated stating that my wife could stay there all night if she wanted to but never come again. This is all occurring in front of all the other patrons which may not be an issue if everyone there believed we were just problematic. We left and as we went to the car, another patron that had been at the bar came out with my wife to verify that she was unharmed. Nicky did accept a phone call from me regarding the first evening and I am unsure if she was able to follow through on the issue because I did not know if the person harassing me was an employee or an inebriated customer. The reason for that is because we went through our entire meal and paid our bill. The food and service were excellent as had been the case every time we had been there previously. As we were leaving, a blond-haired woman standing at a table apparently talking with patrons there shouted, 'You don't have to worry about me, I won't be here on Wednesdays anymore." Well it was a Wednesday and while we weren't worried about whether or not this person was there any longer, she continued with some bizarre statements about talking about her with other bartenders because the one that was usually there on Wednesday had been fired. Having no idea what she was talking about we continued out the door and then she shouted "why don't you hold the door?" I turned and held the door assuming she was leaving and needed assistance but she was still at the patron's table.
