I was in the area and could smell the bbq so I decided to try the brisket. It was super tender but too much fat but overall good. Customer service was very good and there's a parking lot.

Very good bbq place! If you havnt been - you must try! Best bbq I've had around STL area! I have never been disappointed with anything I've had here. Also, their butter cake is the best!! Friendly staff too! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice area in Wentzville.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Second time trying Dukes! Both have been for takeout though so it's not the same experience as eating it right away. Got the brisket and chicken and both were great (tender and good flavour), the BBQ sauce was really flavourful as well. Placed the order online and was ready a bit earlier than the estimated time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of seating inside and the decor looks really cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely try to eat here next time (too bad they're closed on Sundays!)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Enjoyed the cooler weather by sitting on Dukes patio for lunch today.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of outdoor seating and fans going and music playing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the pulled pork sandwich and my husband had ribs and wings. All of it was delicious! Service was fast for lunch and delivered to the table with a smile!

YUM!!! If you are looking for the most tenderest, flavorful brisket, look no further! We tried the Dukes Plate which came with a variety of meats and 2 sides. Beans and cole slaw are my go to sides, and boy, did they hit the spot! I am not really a pulled meats person, but the pulled meats here did not disappoint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating area inside is somewhat small and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was quick! Definitely worth a try!

We had been seeing reviews and decided to give it a try. We had to get the brisket ragoon. We got the dirty mustache and the dirty bird. You place your order at the counter. The lady explained the menu and took our order. We took a seat and they brought our food to our table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating area was a little small but everything tasted great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

SO VERY GOOD! From the apps we ordered, to the sandwiches, and all the sides too, everything was extremely tasty. The service was friendly, yet efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is lovely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And there are so many more menu items that I'd love to try. That Alabama BBQ sauce is da BEST! It's a really long drive for me, but I figure it's a good place to hit up when I'm out this way for other reasons...

Duke's was an impressive bbq spot and a new local go-to for us. The service was great, the owner was so friendly, and the restaurant felt like a modern chain in its elevated marketing and decor, but yet is a one stop spot. Loved: the Dirty Mustache sandwich and Mac and cheese. I got the sandwich on Texas Toast which I highly recommend. The Mac and cheese has a really good smoked flavor Liked: the ribs had a really great flavor, but weren't fall off the bone. Otherwise, so good!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience of the place is very cool for a bbq joint! Incredibly clean and well maintained![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This was our first time and the service was great! She recommended a few things and explained all the special; all with great enthusiasm! The food was pretty good. I'm not a big fan of sloppy bbq which was perhaps my fault for ordering what I did. The ribs had a bit more fat than I like too, but both the pulled pork and ribs were tasty just not my preference. My dad loved the bbq wontons though! I think they recommended the bbq tacos (which they only serve on Tuesday) and supposedly they are the bomb. Def will try them next time!

Duke's reputation as a BBQ icon is well deserved. They have a wide variety of great meat choices, all of which are smoked to perfection without being dry. I enjoyed the Brisket and the Pulled Chicken, but the sausage is also great. The sides are delicious as well. I had pit style beans and Potaoe Casserole. I was blown away by both, they were excellent. It's a fast casual format where you order and pay and then sit down as they bring your food. There is a decent amount of seating but groups could be a challenge. I did see seating outside as well. The staff is awesome, and there are a lot of reasons to come here many times.

It's generally easy to tell how much love and care goes into a BBQ joint as there is no substitute for attention and time to produce good BBQ. Dukes delivers with only a few minor exception's. We ordered the Shack Pack: 1/2 Lb Smoked Chicken + 1/2 Lb Brisket + 1/2 Lb Pork + 1/2 Slab Ribs ( 2 Sides ) ( + 2 Desserts ) $59.99 Says feeds 4-6, our family of 4 couldn't finish. They were out of chicken and allowed us to substitute burnt ends (but let us know they would normally up charge for that). The woman who took our order said we could do 2 sides and 2 desserts or 3 sides and 1 dessert. We elected the latter but when we went up to ask about our dessert a different woman working the counter said dessert was only included if ordering 2 sides. So that was disappointing as we wanted to try the butter cake everyone seems to like. We elected not to complain but we also weren't willing to spend more. Brisket and pulled pork were great, burnt ends were slightly dry but still awesome. The ribs were not the fall of the bone tender type which some people prefer but slightly toothy which I prefer. Mac and cheese was so-so, but Smoky Gouda Potato Casserole was tremendous (think smoked au gratin). Corn bread had great flavor but we found it slightly gummy and perhaps not super freshly made.

    Extensive menu!

Once again, Yelp does not disappoint! We asked for BBQ in the area and Dukes was one place we liked immediately. This place was a real find - great service and the aroma that invaded our bodies was incredible. Being on the road, we chose to eat light. The menu looked terrific, however! We chose a Pulled Pork sandwich with Gouda Potato Casserole along with a Brisket Sandwich with Mac & Cheese. Everything was excellent and came out quickly.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great atmosphere, great music and the food was an A+.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dining area was clean and nicely decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Music was classic country[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We only had burgers but the smoke smell in this place is very pleasant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

A quick overall view of their menu and prices.

I love Dukes! My favorite is the pulled pork and coleslaw! (Especially the coleslaw--not run of the mill, for sure!)

One of the best BBQ joints in Wentzville and probably St. Charles County. It's always fresh and consistent.

This place has good food but they run out far too quickly. 5-5:30 they are always out of chicken and brisket.

On our most recent experience, things appear to have slipped off. The service was still good, and…read morethe relaxed atmosphere works, even though the booth I sat in was getting a little worse for wear with a hole in the back, and a lack of support. An odd sign in the entry notes that are no longer accepting their previously issued gift certificates (wait, so you took money for these and are no longer honoring them?), but it didn't impact me. The food was where things went south. It took 30 minutes in a half full restaurant. I ordered the namesake Tattooed Dog, as I've had it before. It arrived with onion rings... 4 of them, from medium down to small. The dog was mostly warm (not hot), but withered like it had been cooking for a while. The meat was placed atop chili that was cold... cold enough to rob the warmth from some spots of the dog. The bun was a soggy mess, and none of the cheese was melted, so it couldn't have been under the heat lamp. It looked fanciful when served, but it was very underwhelming eating compared to past experiences. My wife had the chicken wrap, served with French fries. In a day and age when competitors give out fries like they need to clear an overstocked situation, it was a small handful that would normally be found in a Happy Meal from the famous clown. The wrap itself was shy on the chicken, and heavy on the dressing inside. What used to be a nice place, appears to be sliding downhill, as if the kitchen has given up. If they've checked out, so have we.
