Been coming to this place SpitFire inside Dukes Market Place for years. Wife and I come for the second time of this 10 day visit to Waikiki. Ordered Wagyu Burger and my wife a pizza. Get our order, I ask for ranch. Lady behind counter says 1 only have to pay for extra. Go to cashier $1.35 for a small saucer of ranch. ARE YOU SERIOUS!?? I asked for my money back, I told my daughter and her family not to come here. If we visit again (maybe) we will bring our own ranch, and our own drinks. Terrible business ethics. This place has a little of everything you might need while on vacation here. There is fresh cooked food, pre-packaged food, a bakery, drinks, and even a restaurant called Basalt in the back. I especially enjoyed their fresh Malasadas and fresh tropical fruit to go. There is a section for toiletries if you need those here as well. Duke's Lane was a great find just two blocks from the condo we leased. They have a little bit of everything food counters with baked goods and grab and go food. A new item available at four locations per their instagram page: Dukes Market, #38 Deli @ Imperial Hotel on Lewers, Island Country Market @ Wailana near Hilton Hawaiian Village & ICM @ Ko Olina in Kapolei. A stuffed malasada with pistachio cream, crunchy kataifi, and hints of chocolate. Yes, please. Available in their self serve pastry case you can't miss it. Quite spendy at $4.29 a pop or 2/$8.00 The malasada itself is nothing to write home about but the Dubai chocolate filling won me over. It was generously filled with the crunchy kataifi. Damn. Probably my most recommended market if you're looking to grab food in Waikiki. Their loco moco was hearty and classic, nothing fancy but hit the spot. You really get your money's worth eating at this place. Got two half pound poke bowls for a little over $16 each and a loco moco for a little over $13 each for dinner togo. Very big portions!!!! I'm a big eater and I barely finished my poke bowl. Well worth it. Also got a bottle of Old Pali Road whiskey here. The mark up wasn't really high. This review is just for the bakery. We were waiting around for our food order from another location and decided to explore this little marketplace. I was immediately met with a display case of amazing looking baked goods. What caught my eye was an ube cinnamon roll, and boy am I glad we got two of them and didn't have to share. I ended up taking them to go, and the person working there kindly packed the frosting separately and the next time after a quick 30 seconds in the microwave, I slathered the frosting onto the roll and devoured it. My husband also got the Ube Fritters, but he insists that the cinnamon roll was the clear star here. I did walk around the rest of the place a bit, and there's an ABC store and some food stall options.
