    Cuban Sandwich
    Alejandro P.

I stopped in for breakfast at Latin Bohemia Grill and enjoyed a delightful meal of steak and eggs, accompanied by strong Cuban coffee and delicious buttered toast. Also pictured is a separate visit with a delicious Cuban sandwich and tostones as a side that came with a perfect garlic sauces. I choose to sit at the individual seating area lining the counter, but the restaurant offers a spacious dining area with plenty of ambient light, creating a pleasant atmosphere for diners. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was served quickly despite the high volume of customers. Latin Bohemia Grill handles their high turnover without compromising on speed or customer service. The food was delicious and served hot, making it a wonderful spot for a satisfying breakfast, filling lunch or friendly dinner.

I had the cubano and it was fantastic! Fast and friendly service from everyone. The coffee was delicious also.

This place was completely empty when we arrived, so I was slightly concerned about the quality of the food and service, but I was pleasantly surprised! The mariquitas were freshly fried and served with a well made mojo. The picadillo, frijoles, arroz y vaca frita were all cooked very well, but the maduros missed the mark for me as they were rather dry. I think they used frozen ones instead of fresh? The only other thing I would have changed would be to add raisins to the picadillo, but that's just how my family makes it. I wonder why it was so dead inside at 6:30 on a Thursday? It was such a large space with nobody there.

I'm down in Fort Lauderdale for two weeks of training and found this place on Google at the last second before my lunch break. Cuban food just around the corner? Bet. What a glorious find. Very affordable and food was over the top. Cubano sandwich and yuca fritas was so good, but the Cafe Cubano was the best part. It's really my first legit Cafe Cubano and it was heaven. I stopped again on the way back to the hotel to get dinner, same day. Tostones rellenos de camaron was my favorite. Sopa de pollo was good. Guaranteed I'm coming back in the morning for a LARGE Cafe Cubano to fuel me through another long day of training.

It's not very busy here. Both the atmosphere and food gives latin grandma home vibes. Prices are very reasonable as well.

Can't come to South Florida and not have a Cuban sandwich! In addition, help yourself to a Roast Pork Sandwich, Ham Croquettes, Ham & Cheese Empanada and a Café con Leche (Sorry, hot chocolate, beef and guava & cheese empanadas not pictured). Outstanding customer service and great food!!!

Don't let the unassuming strip mall stop you from walking into this little gem for lunch! My significant other and I were in town for my birthday and we're on the search for a local spot for good Cuban style sandwich. I didn't get a chance to take a photo of the lunch menu(it did have photos of the sandwiches side by side to the name). Although I'm unsure of what we got, I did opt for the sandwich made with sweet bread(cut diagonally) and the other sandwich cut into quarters is what I believe to be the Miami or special. (BOTH SANDWICHES WERE PHENOMENAL) We also got 2 croquettes, 1 fried cheese stick, we each grabbed an espresso, and we ended our lunch with the caramel flan. We both agreed we could have went without the croquettes and queso stick--but the espresso and flan were to die for. What a great last lunch we had in FL on vacation before hopping on a flight and heading home!

The short: Run of the mill cuban joint that gets the job. If you are craving Cuban food and are in the area, stop here cause there aren't many other spots. The Long: Been coming to Latin Bohemia Grill for a few years now since it is located fairly close to my job. We usually will come here when the boss(who is Cuban) is in town from up North to get his Cuban food filling. They have all your traditional Cuban food favorites so you will have no problem finding any item. I typically go for the pollo a la plancha (grilled chicken) with rice and black beans. It comes with sautéed onions on top and is pretty tasty. When feeling extra fat, I'll grab some tostones(fried bananas) and a pastelito to go. As for the staff, they are also OK...nothing out of the ordinary. The reason for the 3 stars is cause the overall experience is just that, OK. I would maybe bump it up to a 3.5 star just for the food alone but unfortunately I can't do that on YELP. Make a visit if you are in the area and are craving some Cuban food, but do not go out of your way to make a stop here. Until next time!

Our go-to for years and years for delicious "authentic" Cuban food. I put "authentic" in quotes because Cuban food in Cuba is terrible, simply not flavorful or well seasoned at all. We have it so so much better here in the States!!! Our favorites here are the skirt steak and stewed oxtails (on special days only). You can't go wrong with grill chicken breast. Fried yucca is crispy and delicious, fried plantain is sweet and yummy, rice + black beans is well made and just on point. I often make a quick stop for their coffee as well. Such a gem!

This place is such a hidden gem! All the food is home made. I usually come for the breakfast. 2 eggs, ham, house potatoes, buttered cuban bread and cafe con leche all for$6.45. Try it, you won't go wrong!

No way this stuff wasn't pre-made a while ago. Oh yeah, part of a banana and one strawberry. Despite what the waiter said, I could tell everything was pre-made. It's about the same quality as the free "continental breakfast" most cheap hotels offer except at the hotel it's still warm and you get refills on coffee and the waffle is freshly made and hot enough to melt butter. No free refills on coffee here unless you buy their "pour over," and then you get one small refill. The strainer for the coffee was stained and filthy when it was brought out, so they're not using fresh ones or even cleaning thoroughly between uses. GF had a meatless omelet and a smoothie. Her omelet was hot so obviously it was made fresh unlike mine. I told the waiter my food was cold and he swore he saw them "take it out of the oven," but nothing I ordered would be cooked in any over other than a microwave oven. Total bill for two: $60+. This was with a 30% discount on my plate for my food being served cold. Honestly you'll have a better, fresher meal at IHOP or Waffle House or Denny's, for a fraction of the price and you'll get coffee refills.

Upon scanning through the menu, my eyes zoned in on the thick Banana Pumpkin Seed Pound Cake and the right side of my mouth drooped slightly and began to salivate. Upon inquiring about the cake, the server, Dolly, alerted me to the dense texture and it's freshness. It seemed like a win win decision so I paid the $4.00 and Dolly lightly heated the cake per my request. The cake slice was presented on a wooden serving paddle which was a nice touch. Found a seat at one of the simplistic slightly chipped black wood square tables accented by a lacquered mohogany chair with an ultra comfortable red faux ostrich cushion. At first bite, the sweet banana was obvious and followed by a light pumpkin seed taste which was appreciated by my taste buds. In addition to the moisture of the thick cake, the scent was also welcoming. The handicap accessible gender neutral bathroom was clean with industrial terrazzo flooring which flowed into the rest of the café. The vintage photographs on the walls provided a comfort vibe. The café definitely does not hide the throwback ambiance by any means. The 60's jazzy music set a relaxed tone while devouring my morning treat. The corn empanadas were surprisingly a little spicy, but delicious. The mac and cheese came in a skillet with tajin breadcrumbs, and was super creamy and delicious. The elote was probably my favorite. You can't beat truffle! I also especially loved the yuca that came with the beef. The drinks were super strong. After about a drink and a half (the hibiscus margarita and the Mexican mojito), I found myself needing to probably cut myself off. We sat at the bar, and the server who helped us was really nice.
