I came here in hopes of getting a "Lightning McQueen" piñata for my son's 2nd birthday. Not just any Lightning McQueen piñata, the 3D kind, not just a photo of the car in a circular shape, etc. It was a long shot, but it must've been my lucky day because the lady that worked there wasn't sure if they have it but she went to their upstairs stockroom, looked for it, and found one. It's not the highest of quality, but decent for its price. For $35 and for its size (see photo - it barely fit my trunk), it was a deal! I found something identical in Etsy for $75, but I was not about to spend that much for a piñata! You won't find the 3D piñata right when you enter the store, but you can ask them if they have it and they'll look for it in their stockroom upstairs. They're very helpful! The place looks very overwhelming in the beginning with the amount of piñata hanging on the ceiling, but you feel immediately hopeful that they might just have the piñata that you're looking for. They also have a ton of Mexican candies and party supplies. With party city gone, it can be challenging to find party supplies with a certain theme. Thank god they're still here! Will be back for sure for my kid's future piñatas! read more

This place again place was horrible! JANET to be specific ! No help at all lazy workers beside one lady! The other two were just standing there Not worried about there customers! I paid with Apple Pay and it is not My fault that they took my money and then had a issue saying it was pending and they expect me to pay twice and leave that is not fair and OK now I am sitting outside, waiting to speak to somebody over the phone. What a cool store! I was looking for a piñata and saw that Dulceria Socami had plenty. It was hard to find using Go0gle Maps because it took us to the backside of the plaza and we drove in circles looking for it. The place is actually located on the left side of the furniture store. The entrance itself says a lot.. grand, decorated, colorful, tall and huge. Walking in I was overwhelmed. Dulceria had everything! Rows and rows of candies, extra things hanging off shelves, fridges with queso and other perishables, sauces, dried goods, statues, piñatas hanging on the ceiling, so much stuff! It's a one-stop party supply. I walked around several times and each time I saw something new that I missed the first time around. There is TWO stories here, although you're not allowed to go all the way up the stairs. Prices are hit or miss. I got a really affordable piñata,but thought the box of tamarind candy was a bit pricey. Still, it's convenient and has everything in one place and it was fun walking around seeing all the items they offer. I'd recommend going here over Party City any day. read more

So glad I found this hidden gem. Stopped here looking for gelatinas (Mexican jello) and traditional Mexican candies. This place has a huge candy and piñata selection. I'm sure you will find the perfect one no matter what you are looking for. They even have a second floor full of options. I found some Mexican candies I ate when I was a kid, it was a really nice. I purchased a few different once to share with my nephews. You can't come to this place and not buy more than one item. The nice thing is they have shopping carts to help you with your shopping needs. The only thing I was not happy to see is that the halls (cough drops) were expired. They had an expiration stamp of feb, 2024. Thankfully I check everything I purchase no matter where I go. I will be back for sure to buy more goodies read more

I hate to give this place such a low score but i cant help it. I had been here before and loved it but we came here last week and were disappointed. Customer service is garbage! No one helped us, we had to go find the young naive girl to help us out, when she came to the back we asked her if they had any more mini clown pops, she said nope and walked away. We walked around to the other isle and there was like 5 boxes of the clown pops that we were looking for. Dont get me wrong they have lots and lots of stuff here. Candy, piñatas, piggy banks, decorating stuff, but the stuff is pretty pricey. I found another dulceria off Northgate and their prices were way cheaper compared to here on lots of items. Reason i didnt buy the mini clown pops over there was because the didn't have the mini ones they only had the regular size kind. Another thing that i don't like about this place besides the poor customer service is the fact that they play LOUD SPANISH MUSIC. I really don't like spanish music yet alone LOUD SPANISH MUSIC, It made the experience annoying to me. Just because you like your music loud don't mean that we all want to hear it too. I had Dulceria Socami bookmarked for some time and finally had a chance to experience this great Mexican candy and party store. They are located in South Sacramento near Florin and Highway 99 in the warehouse area south of Walmart. Parking is limited but right in front. This is a fun and unique place. Essentially, this is a bulk supply store selling the multipacks of Mexican candies sold at taquerias and Mercados throughout the region. You can find Costco style packs of many varieties of authentic treats. They also stock savory snacks and a good amount of bulk Mexican food. The real star is the party supplies. This place has a tremendous selection of piñatas including all the accessories. You can also find a lot of party supplies here in Spanish and English for a great multicultural event.
