The interior is a bit dark, but they have a huge deli case full of delicious chocolates for purchase. So many different types of truffles, bars, and other delicacies. I especially love the chocolate covered potato chips! You can also see that they're trying to keep up with the trends - Funko pops and beanie babies are arranged on one side of the establishment. This is a hidden gem! It's in an unassuming area and storefront but wow the chocolate! I loved it and this is coming from a diehard Sees Candies person! I tried the balsamic truffle and the pomegranate one and they were both excellent! The service was friendly too and they sell other stuff like birthday cards. I also couldn't believe the prices. I got 2 candies for only $2, usually I pay that or more at other candie stores. Awesome local chocolate shop that's better than Sees. Yeah I said it. They have balsamic vinegar chocolate, cinnamon cayenne, coconut cayenne - bunch of weird stuff that tastes really good. As much as I wanted to like this old-timey chocolate shop, I didn't enjoy any of the chocolates that I chose here. I was most looking forward to trying the key lime kruffle (truffle w/ a "K" because of the chocolate shop name), but the lime flavor came off too strong and sour and didn't really complement well with the white chocolate. I tried a wine kruffle (if I remember right it was a Zinfandel one?); tasted like straight booze and I would rather just drink the wine itself lol (but I guess these wine kruffles could make a good gimmick gift for wine lovers? There, an added star to the rating.). The caramel filling in the chocolate-covered caramels was way too gelatinous, thick, and chewy for my liking (reminded me of gumdrops/Dots candy consistency). Sticking-to-teeth sadness. Eh, not one of the local chocolate shops that I'd readily go back to, but I suppose this shop is still worth checking out if you're not too picky with chocolate and are still curious about the chocolate collection here. read more

I've been here several times now and only found out about it a few months ago from the pandemic (I have a lot more free time). The candies here are great and they are made in house. My favorite is the peanut butter one. I can eat a whole box of those. I did buy several boxes of candy here as birthday gifts and for myself to binge on so that says a lot about how good they are. They also have a bunch of treats for sale such as chocolate covered chips and marshmallow candies. It is pretty hidden and in a random place of town, but parking was never an issue when I went here. Service has always been nice and they usually always give one free sample with a purchase. My guess is you have to spend a certain amount to get it maybe (not to sure). A little over a week ago my boyfriend surprised me with some Kruffles wrapped in a beautiful hot pink bow, my favorite color and Brittles. In Forest Gump's words, "My momma says life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get." He picked out 7 different varieties of chocolates, I loved the Maple Caramel with Chocolate, just wow and the delicious White Chocolates! The Coconut Chocolate was alright. The Orange Chocolates and Spicy Chocolates I unfortunately didn't like. The Cashew Coconut Brittle was just amazing mm, as well as of course the Peanut Brittle! We ended up coming back the next week for my boss's birthday, since he LOVES truffles! I purchased him a custom 1lb box of Kruffles, 10 Rocky Road, 10 Maple Caramel with Chocolate and 4 Peanut Butter Chocolate. Fast forward, he loved them, the box is empty he-he! My boyfriend purchased some candies as well, Chicken Feet, Chocolate Graham Cracker, Molasses Seafoam, Chocolate Covered Potato Chips, Marshmallows on a stick dipped in caramel and more Peanut Brittle. They were all delicious! I would definitely recommend stopping by this small business, they specialize in homemade fine chocolates and are third and fourth generation chocolate makers! Plus whenever you come in you receive a free sample, I would recommend the Balsamic vinegar Kruffle! This chocolate truffle is surprisingly sweet and filled with decadent caramel, you'll want to order a box! Drove by here so many times but didn't realize this place was an authentic old fashioned candy and chocolate store. They make their chocolates and truffles my hand and did so for the last 42 years! I bought truffles for my girlfriend since she loves truffles but the truffles look and taste wonderful and the brittle was so fresh, it was nice and crunchy. We just stopped by for holiday fillers and bought a bunch of chocolates! And to our surprise they had caramel covered marshmallows and they were only $1.50 I think. There is a ton of charm to Kobasic's candies. Who knew there has been a candy maker in Sacramento for such a long time!? I got a 1/4 sample and enjoyed every piece I picked. Some favorites are the peanut butter cup, coconut, cherry rocky road, regular rocky road. I'd be very happy with a bigger box of those flavors. I've been going here for YEARS. My favorite are chocolate dipped potato chips. I can eat like 5 bags of those LOL! The store has an eerie feel and definitely needs to be updated. The displays of old dolls and toys are interesting to look at but after all the years they have been displayed, it may be time for them to be rearranged for a more modern feel if not doing without them at all. I like the spicy caramel kruffles, or anything that has some spice to them LOL! The service has always been great. Best chocolate EVER. You can taste the quality in every bite. I first learned about kobasics when someone gave me a sample of 4 chocolates. I ate all 4 and had to find the shop ASAP. My husband went before Valentine's Day and gifted me a box of chocolate covered Oreos, a box of hand picked assorted chocolates, some pecan and almost clusters and coconut cashew brittle. The treats didn't last long in our home and was delicious to the last bite. A few days ago I finally had an opportunity to visit kobasics. I felt like a kid in a candy store (literally). I ordered a $12 box and picked whatever I wanted. After filling the box we were told to pick 2 additional free samples which we did not turn down! The shop is cluttered and looks like it's been there for a lonnnnnng time! Super nice staff/owners and the best chocolate I ever had. I'll never eat see's candy again.
